@@Destenation94 чела съм спомените на спасен евреин в България по време на Втората световна война. Тръгнали към Израел след като Червената армия влиза. Казва, бяхме във влак за Истанбул... Не цитирам дословно, но : "Беше нощ. Точно влязох е на турска територия...И в нощта хиляди светлинки светнаха - погледнах! Хора, запалили свещи... Влака намали скоростта... Хората, хиляди!, паднаха на колене... Попитах моя спътник какво става? Кои са тези хора? Той беше британец. Каза ми, че това са българи... А падат на колене защото в този влак е последната Царица на България. Те й отдават последна почит "

Бил е самичък при нас, в Родопите... Идваш на лов. Каза, че като починал тя разбрала от една селянка, видяла старицата да плаче на една нива - казала "Борис почина! Царя е мъртъв, кой ще ни пази?!"- цяла България се покрила с черно... После болшевиките и знаете... Вечна памет! Имали сме велики управници... И можехме да имаме една друга България сега, но...дядо ми е бил офицер на Негово Величество - ВВС на Царство България, от Орлите. Имам очите му. Убит е от шумкарите - води се "безследно изчезнал", де...До днес не знаем къде е гроба му. До последно баба, която е оцеляла и отгледала сама децата си като враг на народа ми казваше да почитам Цар Борис. Като почина Царицата тя отиде на черква и поръча заупокойна панахида. Amazing and so emotional video. The cruelty of Bulgarian communists in the period 1945-1962 is because they had a task to force Bulgarian citizens to forget the beloved Tsar Boris III who had the nickname Unificator of Bulgarian nation. Even in the end, his grave was blown up by the authorities because many people continued to mourn about him. Long live Tsardom of Bulgaria!

I've learn to appreciate the figure of Tzar Boris III He had the fortune (rare for royals) to marry for love and nor with arranged marriage with Pssa Giovanna of Savoia. This marriage was opposed by families because of different doctrine. In 1941 he agreed to ally with Germany, to prevent Bulgaria from being invaded as had happened to other nations, while maintaining neutrality. but the thing I discovered is that during this period he flatly refused to apply the deportations laws imposed by germans to all the allied countries. he and his wife worked through diplomatic channels ,with the complicity of Archbishop Angelo Roncalli (later Pope John XXIII) sending thousand jews to Palestine. The other jews people in the country wereenployed in constructions worked declared indispensable for the nation.When Hitler order to send the Tracian and Macedonian jewsin Germany to the labor camps, he managed to block only 8000 who were bulgarian citizens, other 11.000 had to live. Late he discovered that was not labor camps but concentrations camps.... In 1943 was called in Germany by Hitler,and he once again refused the deportation of bulgarian jews ,and to intervene militarily to Russia,also because there were secret negotiations for armistice with England and America. but when he return to homeland.... he died. He was really a defender of his people!

The nation of Bulgaria 1) joined the axis because they were forced to 2) evacuated and saved jews. Im also fairly certain that boris even tried to improve relations with Britain at some point. And this video is about his death, not ww2. Next time take the time to honour his death, even if you may be slovenian

@@majdurakovic8431 we did not surrender as we didn't fight them in the first place. Bloodshed was unneeded. Plus, having the German reich as an ally helped Bulgaria secure territories in Greece and yugoslavia at the time.
