The Hobbit Soundtrack Recordings (Montage)
One of the most beautiful songs ever written on n my opinion, great to know the story❤
@@itzCazW I do agree… the lyrics are so beautiful and Tolkienesque… there’s a deeper beauty in them. 🥹
Exciting update! The presence of Rose number [649] embodies the spirit of collaboration within our creative garden here at CoinTales. Let's keep cultivating this shared space together! 🌹🌷🌼 Thank you for being a vital part of it! 😊💖
Mir hatte der Text gefehlt. Weder als Untertitel auf DVD noch auf CD war er zu sehen. 5:36
so goood. watching end of may❤ RIP king😭😭😭
All the songs in these movies are so great.
I think so too. ☺️☺️☺️
These are my all time favorite movies. They always will be.
I feel you. 💛
IT MAKES ME CRY
I can't listen to this song without absolutely crying my eyes out
How has it been 8 years already? 😩😭❤
FOOL OF A TOK!!!!!!! kkkkkkkkk
Hehehahaha! THROW yourself in next time and RID us of your STUPIDITY! 😆
A wonderful way to say goodbye. Billy Boyd catches that moment perfectly with his tender, loving voice.
@@TheRickie41 Absolutely… Billy’s delicate voice is just perfect for this song and the sentiment it conveys. ♥️
I will forever be astonished, that Sir Jackson and Crew, were handed this amazing Story, and excelled so efficiently with it!
theres bilbo in his name too
7:30 absolutely beautiful
I remember hearing this song and immediately going “omg it’s pippin!” And started crying, what a beautiful song to end the adventure
Yes, yes I know what you mean. His voice evokes such nostalgia. 🥹
Not only is this an amazing song for the middle earth classics, I used it for a very personal video for my ex wife and son as the music to a montage of videos to their dog that died 2 years ago. It hit the spot and will always be extra special to us
probably the most touching, best fitting movie theme I have ever heard. best choice to give the job to a singer, who is emotionally so connected with the movie. gets me every single time, that I hear it. Great work there!
Yes I know right? It’s just too nostalgic and emotive on a different level. It gets me every single time too. 🥹 Glad you found this video and liked it. ♥️
Billy is a star in the move and that beauty song as well
Yes he is. And such a beautiful voice. I loved Edge of Night in ROTK as well. ☺️
So beautiful. In the lord of the rings and hobbit trilogies they always had the most creative brilliant people who loved the whole world that tolkien created and peter brought to us.
Yes indeed! The films were genuine labours of love. Glad you found the video and liked it. ☺️
Gandolph says Bilbo hasn’t aged a day. I know I need glasses but Bilbo looks older and heavier to my old eyes Billy Boyd has the most beautiful voice ethereal and beautiful. The lyrics stick in my head and I want to hear them again. I went and bought the ones I liked so now I can listen to them when I want. I love music and the lyrics say much more about the story if you listen closely.
Yes I agree - the music and the lyrics tell their own parallel story, and are very much Tolkienesque.
As bad as the studio distoid the Hobbit, the soundtrack is the best thing they did
I totally agree - the music was the gem that this trilogy gave us. 🙂
Billy Boyd is an amazing guy.
Indeed he is. A real Hobbit at heart. 🙂
Such a shame that Tolkien family did not give up Silmarillion. Even The Trilogy carried 6 movies.
I know. It’s like they want half-baked adaptations. 🤷🏻♂️
This will be in my funeral... may it be far away...
It’s indeed a very poignant song. And may you live to be eleventy one before it is played for you. ☺️
Thanks, I guess you know how close is Finnish and Elvish?
@@petrusinvictus3603 Yes indeed I do. I had a Tolkien friend from Finland back in the day, and it was really lovely to pick up some Finnish words and phrases. ☺️
Kauan olkoon siihen. May it take long time.
FBC=BBC. Voted for the most beatiful Finnish sentence: Alavilla mailla hallavaara. Means: Frost on low countrisides.
Indiana Jones,LOTR, Harry Potter,MI....❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Billy got such a beautiful voice - both fragile and strong. It’s so… Irish, if you know what I mean. It reminds me of songs like „Greensleeves“, „Scarborough Fair“, „Danny Boy“ and other classics. Sooo sad and sooo full of joy and beauty at the same time. 🙂
Yes. It feels very “earthy” and “folksy”. Definitely very Hobbitty. 🙂
Brings me to tears about every time that I hear it. A reminder that this is an end of an era, which brings nostalgic sadness and joy all at the same time.
Oh gosh I know exactly what you mean. This is nostalgic on sooooo many levels. 🥹
This song always makes me sad, because it means the Hobbit movies are over. Into the West makes me sad too.
Oh gosh yes. The Last Goodbye and Into the West are both really moving in their own way. 💔
Psst, Critters. 2 hobbits down. Fingers crossed.
This is why Amazon Prime cant and never will make anything remotely successful or as powerful as the Peter Jackson movies. The love and dedication shown my everyone involved for Tolkien is amazing.
A beautifully moving song, so beautifully composed and Billy Boyd's voice just makes it more poignant as he has worked and lived through the films, his experiences and memories come pouring through in his singing. Just like with the movies, I'll never tire of this song. Showing both Alan Lee's & John Howe's beautiful artwork was the icing on this "epic' cake.
Yes yes yes yes yes. It’s exactly all of this that really makes this song so poignant. ☺️
The last goodbye and the last of the good adaptations. Everything thereafter is a travesty and should not be associated with Tolkien or any of the previous adaptations.
I cant see Rings of Power going to the lenghts that this film went to.
Of course not, because RoP is first and foremost a cash grab by scummy Amazon execs and not an artistic project.
His voice is so beautiful
Yes it is. So light and emotive. So very Hobbitish. 🥹
Billy's voice and his part in the movies really put the emotion in the song for the audience, brilliant!
Yes for sure. It was a brilliant idea picking him for the end credits song.
This, and Lord of The Rings is something “writers” at Amazon could never amount to in their entire lives.
Billy's song from LOTR always gives me goosebumps and yet it is so simple. This is a truly blessed ability, to build such an emotional load through music. And the Hobbit song.. not even ashamed to say it makes me cry everytime.
I'm not crying... you are crying 🥲
Just watching a mini documentary on one of the songs from the Hobbit trilogy really drives home how much more Peter Jackson and everyone involved in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films actually cared about Tolkien's work and the fans when compared to the dumpster fire that the Rings of Power was. I think more care and thought was put into this one song than the entirety of the Rings of Power series.
Did you read the hobbit. Because it’s pretty clear at least the writers and director of the movie couldn’t care less about respecting Tolkien’s work. Absolute trash trilogy
@@D00GNUKEM. Yes, I have read the books multiple times. While there are definitely differences and lots of things left out completely, I understand why they had to leave things out in the movies because otherwise the movies would have needed to be like twice as long, which I would have been fine with, but that's Hollywood I guess. Production companies want to see results and there are timelines and such. Some changes and things left out I don't really understand, but I never got the sense from those movies that the writers and directors didn't try to capture Tolkien's themes and the basic structure of the books. Whereas if you look at the Rings of Power it's almost unrecognizable when compared to the works it is supposed to be based on.
@@D00GNUKEM. Also, just to be clear, I was comparing the amount of care that went into the films vs the Amazon series. The films aren’t perfect, but to me, and frankly to the vast majority of Tolkien fans out there, Peter Jackson and the team associated with the movies did an extraordinary job translating the books to film compared to what Amazon did with The Rings of Power.
@@kennycarver1774 my bad man, I should have been clearer. My main gripe is with the hobbit films specifically. I absolutely love the Lord of the rings trilogy, it’s a masterpiece. But as for The hobbit. They fabricated a whole bunch of nonsense and added stupid recurring characters like legolas who was not in the original book. so they could milk 3x 3 hour movies out of it and beat as much money out of that dead horse as possible. While also simultaneously cutting out excellent parts of the original story that are Tolkien fan favorites. Tom Bombadil for example. I love the lord of the rings. Books and movies. The Hobbit. Is my favourite book of all time. And the movies disgust me. A simultaneous cash grab and slap in the face to real fans of the book. As for rings of power. I can’t comment because I refuse to watch it. I knew it would be terrible the moment they announced it.
@@D00GNUKEM. Yeah, I definitely agree with the whole Legolas nonsense, not to mention Tauriel. I honestly didn't dislike that character, but I didn't understand why they felt it was necessary to add in that character and a love story instead of adding in more of awesome characters like Beorn or Tom Bombadil like you said. I think Tom Bombadil is a difficult one though because so little is known of him in general. Despite it's flaws and my little gripes, when you compare it to Rings of Power it's a masterpiece. I think if you watched Rings of Power you would understand, but I definitely don't blame you for not wanting to watch it. It will just infuriate you.
The song acts as closure to a portion of our lives watching these films and saying goodbye to Middle Earth for the last time.
Yes, yes it does. I think we all have personal stories that go along with these films and the 20 years that span them.🥹
@@Westminstrelsy I picture a montage of my childhood rolling in slo-mo with the song playing in the back. 🥹
@@elliot7593 Oh gee! That’s really so lovely. 🥹 For me it’s memories of lazy college days when my world was simpler and life felt full of promise. ☺️
He crushed this song so good that it hits DEEP. They can play this song at my funeral.
It does hit deep, doesn’t it. Every time I choose to hear it, I need to be in a certain headspace; because it’s not a song I can hear casually.
one of the most beautiful songs ever written!
Yes! So heartfelt and nostalgic and Tolkienesque. 🥹
I love all 6 end credit songs, and though Annie Lennox’s Oscar is totally deserved and though Enya is my private Goddess of Music, this song is the one which touches me the most.
I feel you on this. This song is really the culmination of a journey that, for many of us, began in the early 2000s. I think it has an added layer of nostalgia because of that. 🙂
One of THE most beautiful songs ever recorded! ❤
I couldn’t agree more. ♥️
No it isn’t 😂😂😂😂
I’m all goosebumps and teary eyes
Tbh I haven’t watched this video in a while because I get somehow emotional. 🥹
8:27 his face when he exclamates the "SEA" is so funny XD
I love the songs in these movies. Especially Billy Boyd 🥰🥰
Billy is a Hobbit at heart. 😆
A genuinely nice person.
Billy is indeed extremely humble and down to earth.
