Fake Dewalt Battery
So you got an email from Amazon notifying you that they sold you a counterfeit Dewalt battery but you have 20 batteries and not sure which one is counterfeit. Well that's where I found myself and had to do some investigation to identify the fake battery.

On eBay people are selling the 2 pack Dewalt 5 AH for $86. Home Depot they are $149.99. Makes you wonder………….
Idk if anyone else had put this but on the fake battery it doesn't have the lithium ion wording the top edge as well
Look at charging terminals. Original is copper, fake is silver colored.
The fakes don't have the square code on top too.
Anyone know of a store who lets you dismantle the batteries before buying?
in home depot is the same story people will return the fake battery and they will resell it again to someone maybe you
First check the screws if they’re flat and black they’re fake dewalts are very round and silver looking silvery black and the heads go slightly higher that’s what I mean flat vs round and eventually they won’t charge and yea don’t waste your money
Port quality video as you don't give us a nupt information as you're taking them apart, which is the fake battery and which is the real battery you should redo this. It's important to know, but you're doing a sloppy job. Sorry, buddy, try again.

as long as the cells are the same capacity and it outputs the full current i dont mind it being fake since ive made the batteries for power tools before and usually there isnt a need for it to be real since if it aint broke dont fix it
Cheap batteries are really not the same as known brand cells
Other than fake batteries not lasting as long as real dewalt batteries while in use my other concern is fire hazard.

Usually a dead give away is they don't bother using security torx screws. Just reg torx. Older dewalt Batts sometimes have the wires. Before they went to solid buss
Yeah, the battery in question would die much sooner than all of my other dewalt batteries when using in a circular saw
Thanks. I have been hesitant to purchase a Tank because I know I will be disappointed by the saw cut low grade aluminum parts and use of bearings in screws and double nutting, etc. For me this would be a very expensive printer, and even more so with miscellaneous little costs like replacing screws and nuts and who knows what else. But this vid is inspiring because I can see some of the solutions! Thanks

Yeah, hard to pass by a deal like that. I actually bought it for $179 the day before then noticed it dropped to $150. I called them and they refunded me the difference. Good company to do business with.

Hi there! Did you manage to re-flash or update the firmware for the S42c? I can't seem to find the firmware thereof. There is however firmware for the S42b, but not for the S42c. I need to make some changes with the firmware to fit my needs.

So after researching streaming I figured out why all my videos are so blurry, its because of my internet connection. It only allows for 2500kbit. Sharp videos start at 25000kbits. So I am going to drop the whole streaming thing and just do a recording and upload it to RUclips. Next video will go though this new process.

Had some technical difficulties as expected. I think I am getting a hang of it so hopefully future videos are of a bit better quality and I will try my best to not use as much "umm" lol. Also, I ordered another Logitech camera that has autofocus which will hopefully help with the out of focus issue of the tripod cam.
