Thousand plus hour in vtol I can confidently say it is ok
This popped up after I started playing VTOLVR a lot recently. I started with DCS awhile back and it's great when you want to get into the weeds and learn all the tiny details about how to use the plane. VTOL is my quick pick up and go. This sim side is great and has been getting better, hell they even simulate radar cross sections better than DCS. It's just so immersive and easy to pick up even if I haven't played in a while.

i swear the splash damage on retarded bombs in enigmas server is so bugged due to the server being in Germany. I use the samp400hd's and ive used them probs over 1000 times and rarely get killed by my own bombs. In enigmas 4 seconds after the bomb goes off and im nearly a km away from where the bomb exploded it will still kill me i believe it has to do with something with ping.
Vtol VR is the sim I play more. I find it more fun to run the cockpit by using the switches in cockpit in VR. It feels so goddamn real!

What do you suggest to do in vtol vr if I am alone?
I'd try the campaigns, they were pretty fun. You could also try and join some multiplayer servers, there's usually a few running coop missions which you can join

So for the bombing example you are showing DCS is very realistic and Vtol is more of a game. I don't play either game, but I plan to. My perspective, after studying on both platforms. DCS is a simulator / Game, and VTOL is a game. In my case, I want the sim part I want to have to work to get good. If I wanted a game only War Thunder would be an option. VTOL and War Thunder is a better comparison IMHO. as they are in the same class.
I wouldn't really say vtol and War Thunder are in the same class as war thunder is a pure game while vtol is more of a simulator light, it's a very good entrance point into the world of simulators if you come from something like war thunder. Sure, it's not as in depth as DCS but still has some of those elements
Dude you wouldn’t even be able to start an aircraft in vtol vr without a tutorial or having played dcs or Microsoft slight sim.

2:19 is your card ok? Im running almost highest settings with a similar card to an 3060 at about 140 fps in singleplayer 2:40 8m playing 8n a controller and im having so much fun. You dont need a joystick if you want to be good. Im cooking my friend who is on a joystick alnost everytime
My card is fine, they've massively improved performance in vr since I made this video. It's alot better for me now than it was back then, however 140 still seems very good for a 3060 with everything almost maxed out in vr Respect to you for being able to play on a controller, when my hotas broke I almost couldn't play for a while, the Tomcat was impossible and the other jets were very difficult apart from maybe the Hornet, but hey, that's just me being very bad at controller

3:24 For stationary targets, high drag bombs are best and for those; you do not need to pull up after use. Essentially, all the manouver did was paint a big target saying "shoot me; i just slowed down and became an obvious target". Rule of a thumb; if you look to the sides and the trees are below you, you are too high. 8:29 Once again, too high, too slow. The Viggen is nap-of-the-earth, all the way.

Wish someone would do a cinematic showing what a carrier could field back then. Just wishfull thinking. The viking the a 7 the f8u gunfighter the a 6, the prowler. The e2 hawk eye the. Not to mention the all around gunships carriers carried. Back then still do.

Footage was beautiful. But something important to keep in mind when making cinematics is you never want to keep shots longer for 5 seconds unless the music itself is very slow. You also want to make cuts whenever the music hits a beat, because it seems as if you made the cuts a bit more randomly. Last thing I have to say is when the music reaches a "high" point like it did in 0:52 , you'll want to start using footage with more action and movement, instead of continuing previous shots. Remember, it's more important to edit to the music and make it smooth, than it is to use all of your footage. You rarely should ever use more than half of the actual footage you've shot. I'll subscribe, I'm excited to see your next cinematic! You've got potential, especially with that hardware/graphics settings and music taste. Edit: Also please use more zoomed in shots. It makes all the difference. You can see what I'm talking about if you look at Eagle Dynamic's offical trailers. Notice how they edit to the music and how they zoom in almost all their shots? The angles they use? Rotation of the camera? Combining all of this will make you a professional extremely quickly.
First of all thank you, I did try to do a lot of the things you said, you can see me cutting to the beat at the start, and yes, I probably should have cut to the formation shots at 0:52.. My bad on that one, and also on the point of using all of the footage or cutting it up, this was a couple of hours worth of footage, getting the ai to do as you want in this game is pain.. As for the zoomed in shots, I do know they look a lot better, I mainly take photos (both in real life and ingame), so I do know you get a much nicer effect, but it's way harder to do in a cinematic. Main reason being, I don't have headtracking, so either all zoomed in shots are being lazer focused on one planes center of mass, or you get very and I mean VERY short shots, or you get very janky camera movement. It's mainly the same reason so little of the shots are rotated, since I wan't the video to be 4k, and I'm shooting in 4k without headtracking, so you loose a lot of quality by rotating the camera in post. (The shots you see where headtracking is being utilized are all thanks to my friend, who did a few shots for me) But as I said, thank you, and I will try to do incorporate some of the things you have pointed out here, at least where possible!

Not sure but I think it's a mixture of 'they don't need to because they have enough thrust without it' so they might as well save fuel for the mission, and/or the thrust of the F110 damages the JBD. @
