Honestly he prob should've have saved Dexter and given him proper care.
He thought he was"the one" lol but he was just a pawn. They all had their own purpose his just wasn't as great as he led to believe because the island healed his spine. Granted him a miracle so he thought he was special and he was right sorta he was chosen by so were so many others... his story came to abrupt end when he was sent off the island to die alone. Tragic indeed he was a possible candidate to become the new protector of the island. Unfortunately he was let down and never got to know the ending to the story. Like what happened after the oceanic 6 return to the island. Who reaply was jacob? He never got to know much answers to make profounding questions im sure he was asking in his head constantly. Oh well i feel he shouldnt have died or been killed but he was kinda flawed and extreme anyways
Good writing
as cool as the other villains are as threats to dexter, I've always loved the emotional conflict between Dexter and Isaak the most. I can imagine a scenario where the same interaction plays out, but at a time when Rita is still alive, not while Dexter is with Hannah. Imagine if Dexter learned through Isaak to embrace his love as an intrinsic strength, only to have it ripped away by Trinity later on.
I can't believe Doakes was black
Was dexter harry fault? not really, why? brian literally turn out the same without harry sooner or later dexter will turn into a serial killer even if he dont brian will find dexter and you know whats gonna happen after he find dexter without harry's code? i'd say harry doing the right thing not for dexter but for miami he's an asshole for all i care i mean suicide? thats a bitch move but lets be real harry guiding dexter is the best outcome there is there's no better alternative than that
Brian was much older, had a far more lonesome life, with the knowledge of having a lost brother that he would probably never see again, while not being able to suppress the things that had happened to his mom. Dexter and Brian aren't the same at all, Brian did it bc he had nothing to lose, he just wanted to feel something atp. He was left abandoned, after some random dude just took his brother away from him, the one person that he could ever connect with. Harry is partially responsible for what happened to him too for taking away the one family Brian had left, and leaving him to an institution. That would drive literally any child insane, after what he had been through. Dexter on the other hand had a loving home, a loving baby sister, and a normal life in his hands, but it was taken away bc Harry wanted to use him as a super soldier. That's Harry's fault. He didn't have to do that to him, and if and when Brian were to find Dexter, he still wouldn't have changed his mind. He's not a psychopath, he cares, and loves for people, and if Dexter was actually treated with the right amount of love, and understanding, he wouldn't be in that position
In season 8 he had already shown to show genuine content with his life once everyone he knew and loved understood him. Hannah, Deb, Harrison. They all knew his dark secret... Not Harrison, but this allowed a barrier to be lifted. It took all this time, bc everyone that knew his secret either wanted to use him, or wanted to kill him, or dissociate with him. He was always alone throughout the entire series, so who's to say what would've happened if Harry handled Dexter's impulses differently? I understand why Harry did it this way, but this wasn't the only solution.
@@Loxymoxy If brian found dexter without harry code he will be ALOT worse, dexter is easy to corrupt i mean look how harrison turn out does he have harry's code when he was a kid? no so why you speculate dexter would be better if he doesnt have harry code??? and dexter literally accept brian offer but refuse because its DEB he even said does it have to be deb? he doesnt mind killing innocent with brian but DEB is off limit because one of harry's code is to protect DEB at all cost i mean did you see how charming brian was at season 1? dexter would be serial killer in 12 hours after meeting brian unlocking his trauma and his dark passanger in less than one day
@@Loxymoxy harrison wants to kill someone because of his trauma when he was like what 1 year old?? while dexter is 4 when his mother get butchered into pieces if harrison have needs to kill someone without ANYONE guidence what makes you think dexter can? its just matter of time until dexter turn out like brian and let me make it clear that dexter doesnt remember his mother getting butchered he just feel like wants to kill someone in season 1 what do you think when brian unlocks those brutal memory? this is a simple deduction man cant you get what im saying? dexter fate already sealed the day his mother get butchered, harry's code is the best outcome there it

very nice observation, i also think dokes challenged dexter view pn his codes very well while rape dudes, the religion guy and saxton were just some wacky terrible men who happens to fit dexter"s code
yeh i agree, i talked about doakes specifically in a previous video because of how complex of a character/villain he is.
why is will i am mentioned 💀💀💀
great video tho

Ummmmmm...... Your adopted kid is displaying violent, psychotic behavior and instead of getting him help, you teach him to kill "bad" people......
Masuka is the real villain here
Dr Vogel was at fault. those drawings were just Dexter remembering his trauma not a dark passenger . that dark passenger became exactly that eventually.
You say fault like Dexter was a bad thing
Yeah Harry ruined Dexters life completely and failed to help him recover from his trauma correctly
Or Hector Estrada did when he turned to two innocent children into serial killers in shipping cargo with a chainsaw but somehow Harry trying to help Dexter with a inevitable problem ruined his life
@@jay5754Harry could’ve gotten Dexter and Brian help, he actively chose to abandon Brian (which led to him being a serial killer) and trained Dexter to be a serial killer. That’s not helping, he ruined Dexter because of his own guilt and selfish desires. Hector Estrada also only killed Laura being of Harry not protecting her, that’s his fault too
Sexted Morgan
Dark defender
Man harry can ask Dexter to kill a nurse but only when he sees Dexter kill somebody he freaks out smh
He freaked out because Dexter was casually chopping up a body. Same as dokes
@@carefulcrosseryeah he only seen his work from animals none were cut up he seen how he cut up the bodies exactly like his mom and Harry knew that it's still in him the trama of his mother's death which probably why he killed himself but still he should've went to Vogel for more help instead of offing himself with drugs
He freaked out becasue of the plastic all over the room, the pictures of víctims, and the Chopped body It was like A ritual
What is interesting about Locke is that in his own way, he could be as manipulative as Ben. Actually, both men were very manipulative. And yet, both would end up being exploited by the Smoke Monster. The showrunners should have allowed Locke to commit suicide. I think that would have emphasized his tragic arc even more.
laura was sleeping with harry, which also contributed
Dexter was let down by everyone. Dexter was on the spectrum. He needed help. Dexter should have been put in a mental hospital. He was hearing voices and talking to people who were not there.
Dexter isn't a schizophrenic. He is deliberately imagining the people he talks to.
It was more like what would my dad say now? And the show showed us a physical representation of this mental idea of his father who guided his dark passenger it wasn’t him litterally talking to his father in real life
@@tunnelvision7906yeah, it's like a angel(or devil )on his shoulder right? Like a Voice of his conscience trying to helping him not to fuck up everything
Harry just wanted someone to kill the bad people. He did not love Dexter.
Absolutely not true
@@ModernCombatZocker Agreed
PLOT TWIST nobody has yet mentioned - Backstory: Laura Moser was Harry’s hired CI, someone he was professionally and morally responsible for; in order to get her to uncover and ultimately disclose the information Miami Metro needed, Harry had to get Laura to trust him. This goal required him to get close to her, one way or another; either Harry got involved with this woman sexually, whether to manipulate her into trusting him with all her secrets, or perhaps in the stress and trauma with his wife’s terminal illness he began seeking comfort from this woman with whom he’s now forced to spend time with and ultimately fell into a love affair and got invested emotionally. Regardless of his motive, Harry compromised his own “code” as a cop by a) being crooked as a cop (using Laura as means to an end) and/or b) having an affair on his (not sure if yet terminally ill) wife. Either Harry’s ambition or his emotions got the better of him and compromised the mission, the case, his morales and Laura Moser’s safety, and therefore that of her sons. Once she died he either took Dexter in for reasons fueled by love (for Laura) or selfish guilt (for fear the Force would discover his indecencies). But having been speculating on this plot point myself as a Dexter-diehard and awaiting its revelation for all NINE seasons of the series, not once has it come to the surface soemthing I have strongly believed from the very start - DEXTER IS HARRY’S BIOLOGICAL CHILD. How has this VERY likely story arc been overlooked?! Think about it: Harry slept with Laura Moser, mother of Brian Moser, during the Estrada case and became involved with her sexually, ultimately resulting in Harry unintentionally got Laura pregnant during the investigation; a little boy was born in the early stages of the case, so Harry was invested in keeping both Laura and her baby safe, because DEXTER WAS HIS BABY TOO! - and/or he didn’t want to be exposed for having slept with his CI and compromising the investigation and didn’t want to have word get out Dex was the love child of his compromise. Why do you think Harry only rescued the younger son left in a pool of his mother’s blood, and not Laura’s older son? He didn’t have responsibility for Brian! Maybe he and Brian never got along, or maybe some detail regarding Brian is what led to the killers finding Laura? Who knows?? But I personally think the “deceased” biological father of Dexter AND Brian was either a red herring decoy to lead Dex to a false dead end thus giving him closure, or he was only Brian’s father. Hence the DNA test matching … or maybe even those results were botched.
"Dextuh" he sounds just like Lila! 😂
Simple. If Dexter had a brother serial killer who went through the exact same trauma but didn't have Harry as a father, then it wasn't Harry's fault. Oh wait...
brian was too broken
@@ech00mxi who decides that? Its told but not shown. They even took Dexter away from brian, which couldve helped brian alot. Cause sometimes it takes a bit of family to reach what no one else could in u
@@ezoez7548 if you look at it that way harry should’ve went to a therapist instead of letting Dexter kill
@@ech00mxi Once again as stated in the show no matter what Dexter was going to kill no matter what it was inevitable at that point what else can you do with a truly loved one who is guaranteed to murder someone ??? Just like anyone else I’m pretty sure you would rather have your loved one who is guaranteed to kill murder awful person who has done heinous crimes against others as opposed to a innocent person
@ he decided that when Dexter was 12 or something so yeah
I can't believe
Overwhelmingly yes. He had a choice, get him actual help and prevent deaths or do what he actually did
As stated in the show Dexter was going to kill regardless it was inevitable when you think about other serial killers who had dark upbringings or similar experiences as dexter you realize they ended up killing innocent people and children even though killing is wrong I think most would rather have the bad person who has done heinous and disturbing crimes be killed then a innocent person who was trying to make a living it’s not perfect but it’s something if anything it would be Hector Estrada’s fault he created not one but two serial killers that were innocent children leaving them emotionally damaged for the rest of their lives.
@@jay5754 I completely agree it was Hector Estradas fault for all of it and that Dexter was going to end up being a killer, but him getting trained by Harry was to protect Dexter, not others. Harry didnt want Dexter to end up in an electric chair. If he didn't have the training, likely wouldn't of been as successful, and getting caught earlier on. Harry killing himself to escape the guilt of it all didn't help. He could of managed alot better with someone who could of set a limiter on him.
Yes. Lol
I mean Harry's guilt only goes as far as getting Dexter's mom killed. Everything else was him trying to do his best with someone who was showing warning signs of psychopathy. Also, didn't what's her face said that she told Harry that it was going to be inevitable that Dexter was going to kill people. So he shifted towards channeling him towards being a person who hunted others like him. That being said, Harry keeping Dexter out of a psyche ward might have prevented him from being like his brother Brain.
Everything was Hector Estrada's fault
I find it funny that the guy who made this comment is named hector
😂 fr@@vnotchaos779
Estrada said that he didnt want to do it but he had no choice. And I understand him. He was Jack Ruby-ed so to speak. He had screwed up letting in a police CI so he either executed her or he would be the one executed. Je even said, it was her or me. So the answer to the question is YES, the only monster here is Harry.
Are YOU Hector Estrada?
@@rubenoteiza9261 no but as dexter said Did he really have to Make two little boys watch the dismembering of there bioloigcal mother's body parts with their own eyes and then leave them there too in a pool of there mother's own blood. Its still hector estrada's fault for letting it come to all of that even if he truly didnt want death to be the answer, which i also dont believe because he was just saying that while begging for dexter to not chop him up And santos jimenz and the other man butchered the woman mercilessely and sadistically did it really have to be that way
I see a part of John in myself. I am constantly told I’m a bad person and an attention seeker because I'm against society and the average work life of a human. I get told “it's just reality” but then I will forever quote back to these people who try to keep me trapped in societal prison . “Don’t tell me what I can’t do.”
Definitely one of the best well written male characters in TV history.
Negan is unbearably annoying. His nauseatingly smug demeanor caused me to stop watching this show.
