Nice review DMC. I am one of the few who really like 1924 and will continue to buy it. I bought 3 bottles of the first batch and 3 bottles of the new, 2nd batch. I saw a review today of batch 2 earlier and the reviewer said it was spicy and drank hot? 😮🥃

If the best Bourbon comes from Kentucky, do the Best Kentuckians come from Bourbon? I actually really like this 'release'. As mentioned the toasted barrel smooths out the bite. I like that it is tasty, with those spices in the palate, but doesn't make my palate work. Just sip and enjoy.

Their distillery is awesome, as well as their staff. We had a great time doing a barrel pick this summer.

I know each palate is different from one another, but this one was not one of my favorite rye whiskies. I gave it a 2 out a 5. It fell on the category of, wouldn’t drink it again. Regardless, great review as always. Cheers!

It woulld be nice to see some Budget Whisky Mixer/Cocktail Test. You say the JB has a sweet taste, would such a whisky be better with say Club Soda than with Cola?

Balanced & tasty. The toasted barrel smooths out any bite. I do pick up the clove & cinnamon after resting in the glass for several minutes. Reminds me of a smoother version of Beam Double Oak.
