This was such a fabulous event and we all enjoyed ourselves so much bringing music by composers associated with the erudite, artistic and musical Cardinal Consalvi, back to life after two centuries. Yes some will have heard this before, but we fought long & hard to make this one-off performance happen & are still proud of what we achieved at a deeply troubled time for choirs.

Thank you for your view. I’m very aware of its prayerfulness, but of course it is an eighteenth century work & my tempi choices generally come from a historically informed perspective. Perhaps you have some insights into Vedel performance practice to share? I’d be keen to hear them.

So proud of what we achieved on this 2019 China tour. A lovely group of singers, many of whom I had the honour of teaching for the entirety of their degree at Cardiff University School of Music.

Very beautiful but the acoustic is really bad...It is a pity to appreciate really this chorus and work..there is a lot of reverbering ....

Peter, thank you for remembering P/O Bullock, and indeed all those of RAF Bomber Command who braved long dark hours over enemy territory to bring WW2 in Europe to an end.
