for this video, we took a break from unboxing and showcasing 1/64 diecast models this time and featured this 1/24 scale McLaren MCL60 driven by Lando Norris during the 2023 Australian Grand Prix. this model is made by Cool Chic Auto otherwise known as CCA.
impressive details but far from other diecast F1 models made by more famous brands but this one still deserves to be displayed alongside them.
got this one from an online shopping app here in the philippines for roughly only $17 plus shipping. good deal if i do say so myself 👍🏻😀

Hi brother! Why do some diecast car manufacturers produce their models in other scales than 1:64? I know this questiom has been asked many times before by other guys in the hobby but, unfortunately, I have not read or heard any answers yet. I know practicality is/was one of the reasons for them to do just that but with the amount of advances in manufacturing technology available, why does it stay as a common practice? I hope you can enlighten us 🙂
@@lokalrc6066 bro, let’s use tomica as an example to answer your question. they make different scales (1/64, 1/71, 1/57, etc) but still retain their “1/64-ness” to have a consistent sizing, playability, and of course cost affordability. it would be hard for them to make models of “big” trucks or cars if they stick to a single scale. take these triton pickup trucks in my video- they are scaled 1/71 deliberately by tomica to maintain their “standard” size for playability. triton pickups in real life are larger than other midsize pickup trucks we have here in PH, so doing it in 1/64 scale would make the model bigger translating to more costs. hope these info helped, bro 👍🏻😉

It’s a great addition to your collection, Myles! BM Creations produces quality models. I like that BMC has opening doors in their castings. Clear plastic lenses for their lights are much preferred over painted ones. Johnny lightning needs to follow BMC lead on their models. Once again, you’ve done a great job going over the features of this Camel Trophy range Rover classic. Well done my friend!

Thought I’d stop by and wish you and your family Merry Christmas. I’m not am a fan of BM Creations white lettering on the tires either. Cool Jimny! You can turn it into an off-road beast. BMC make nice castings. Pull apart wheels are better than the ones that completely through with a hub.

@@karlconradcalora7743 yup. it usually does but sometimes it depends on the design of vehicle and the purpose it was meant to. karl, there are some land rover defenders 110s with the spare tire at the front hood. there are also some offroad vehicles with their spare tires placed on the roof. having a spare tire at the back would also help “balance” the vehicle by providing extra weight at the back counteracting the weight of the engine in front thus providing more traction on the rear wheels. hope these info helped, karl thanks for viewing and always supporting our channel. merry Christmas to you and your family 🎄🎄

@@AtTonisGarage yup. nowadays, these 1/64s do have great details on them. i also have other land cruiser models that have more details than them.
Love the green color. Nice details. GCD did a nice job with this one. The pod on the dash looks like the one on the FJ Cruiser. I have mixed feelings about the steerable front wheels. Steerable wheels are nice to pose for still photos. If you want to move the cars for stop motion they are hard to move in a straight line.
@@Fourwheeljive they have their drawbacks, robert isn’t the FJ cruiser based on the prado platform? probably borrowed some “things” from the prado
@ Toyota sources many components from other vehicles to produce the FJ including shared engines and transmissions found in the Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runner as well as suspension components used in the Prado, Hilux, Tacoma, and 4Runner.
