3D Printing a City - Easiest Method - No Blender!
Просмотров 9 тыс.4 месяца назад
This tutorial shows you the steps needed to 3D print any city. I made this tutorial based off a reddit post by ImplodingCoding and a comment under that video by HybridRican. I wished that there would be a video like this for me when I first started this process, so I decided to make one for all of you. I hope you enjoy. Below I'll link some stuff you may need: Reddit Post by ImplodingCoding: ww...

How did you do the straight edges?
What print software are u using?
slayed this mr engineer
That's a lot of cleaning up stringing 🤮
Is sketchUp a free software?
Yes you can get a 7 day free trial when you make an account
@@DumbEngineering then it’s not free 🥲🥲
Would you mind posting the file you created in this video (the full size stl, thanks!)
slayyyy
No examples of the final product? 😢
Check out my channel! I posted a YT short with the final product!
ruclips.net/user/shortsdDAFmId4whE?si=tNR57rWnWUzRfO1Q
What kind of material is this? I want to try it
That’s so cool, thanks!😎❤️👍
My roads aren't showing up in my STL.
🤯
Mega tutorial. Thank you. However, I would like to know if it is possible to pull the selected tags exactly 0.5mm upwards 3:04. Unfortunately, you can't see exactly how you do this in the video.
Exactly same problem ... great tutorial until the end ... unfortunatly it messes everythig up and i cant continue
Message while using the plugin: Face Selection cannot be push-pulled Please Modify the Selection
Type the value on keyboard once you start pulling
This would make great gifts of people’s home towns and favorite landmarks
Oh awesome! I’ve seen these on Etsy and other sites for crazy prices for the STL files, with the process taking forever. I knew there had to be an easier way. Thanks!!
Hello, im wondering if you could make an more in depth tutorial on how you made that frame? Love the content btw!
Is there anyway of just making the city street maps without buildings so it’s flat?
Yes! in CAD mapper don’t select 3D buildings! Only topography
These look amazing. Exactly what I’ve been planning to do myself. Did you model the cities yourself or have you found a good source of STL files?
Found a good source, then modified the file! I made a tutorial you may be interesting in on my page! Good luck!!
taking notes ✍🏼✍🏼 thank u for this tutorial !!!!
very useful, but I must confess that I'm afraid to try preparing the file on SketchUp and exploding my 10 year old laptop! But either way, great video, hope it gets more attention and help other people out as well! Keep it up!
how thick are the walls?
1.5mm and 3mm base
Mmm, yummy microplastics
Food safe epoxy coating!
i have to commend you for covering it in food-safe resin, I dont care what people say, lots of filaments are NOT food safe
When you shut the door everything falls inside got to make it deeper
Ah yeah my cabinets have slow close hinges so it hasn’t been an issue but that’s a good idea
🤩 beautiful although, why did you make it upside down?
To need less supports. If the angle of an overhang is more than 45 degrees it can mess up the quality pretty severly.
Thought it was a bit smaller
No prime tower used ?
Beautiful
"Promo sm"
Need this in pink 🩷
Nice
❤
Also, how was the quality difference across the speeds?
Great job :) Nicely incorporate 3d printing
That is really cool. Model link?
Great comparison video. Could you do one on the noise level between the different modes? Heard silent is not much better, and I am looking at getting X1C.
How long did this take? Looks like a great result
27hours! Half the time it takes to swap out the colors between layers
Where would one find such a fine .stl file?
killed it !!!!!
😊 *Promo SM*
love this audio
how to make a candy dispenser for 3 dollars: 1- Buy a 400 dollar 3D Printer 2- learn how to use it 3- spend hours on end getting pissed off that you dont know how to use a 3D printer 4- all done its pefect
That really took over a day and a half to do?
It did unfortunately!
Do you have the stl file or a link?
