Zwift Club Ladder Biscoff Cakes vs Herd of Cassowary on Rising Empire in New York
3rd hard race in 4 days, was not looking forward to this given the power some of our competitors have however you don't get faster by riding with people slower than you, so lets get in there and have a go.
The start was surprisingly chilled probably because they were confident they had two riders who could not be touched. Given the two climbs coming I was also of the opinion to save legs until then, thus the group rolled around nice and civil until we hit the "pre climb".

Really enjoyed that race. It was always going to be a tough one for me though. As our rider 5 my main goal was to hang on longer than Shane. Tim did have a technical issue. He deployed an anvil on the second part of the Titans descent and his brakes jammed on solid. Took him a while to recover from that, but obvs the blob was gone by then.
Epic racing mate! Very well fought and definitely kept us honest! You’ll be happy to know there was a lot of heavy breathing going on in our discord too hahaha

Thanks for the feedback, I typically record and save here as it is free storage for my racing so I can re-watch later and learn from what I did well, or did badly. I actually don't pay much attention to the sound, but I can adjust the game volume VS the mic volume so will look into that. Thanks.
A pity that you Zwift ambient noise is so loud that whatever you say is inaudible. It'd be nice if Zwift noise was far quieter. I'd prefer to hear your voice, the turbo, fans, chain, ...
Well done on finishing your first FRR Troy. Been great watching the tour leaderboard unfold with some pretty tough competition in BON spurring us all on. Am sure you'd have been even higher were it not for TZ slot limitations. Awesome effort. Hopefully see you next tour!

That is why I started recording my races. Rewatching gives you a different perspective, makes you think of things you don't notice during the race. Highly recommend and RUclips is nice enough to gives us free storage.

I feel like I have improved enough during this season than an FTP test would push me into Cat B. Considering the rate at which the front runners (myself included) reduced the lead group down to just 5 riders I suspect a few are in the same boat, especially the "questionable" winner. I am planning an FTP test soon to see where I am at and hopefully move up to Cat B for the final rnd where I will likely get smoked but a great workout every race.

Did you get DQ for not having a HR Monitor on?
No DQ, just half points. I missed that the HR dropped out when I swapped from warm up to the start pen.
Don't you need a heart rate monitor for full points?
I did, but it disconnected when I jumped from warm up to race and I missed that.
