That model you show is 'The Sudden Death' model. I had one in 16 bore and still have one in 12 bore but marked W.J.Jeffery as they made many guns sold out to the Gun Trade. I helped the late Guy N. Smith with his book on The Midland Gun Company. Not a plug but worth a read.

I have a C. G. Bonehill 10 bore SXS " Hammer gun" made in Birmingham, England circa 1875. I use it for waterfowl and a Pheasant once in a while.

I have an E M Reilly 16bore hammer gun, it was made in 1922 by I believe Midland. Looks just like yours with the crossbolt. Is real delight to shoot.
