Great stuff other than Paul McCartney’s ridiculous “Mary Had Little Lamb”🐑 song. I hate that song. It has to be the absolute worst solo song that Pauly Mac ever recorded!

We seem to have a stairway to heaven as our intro, but nevertheless, I am sure that cardinal O’Connor is going to wish Imus in the Morn would go to Hell, yebejesus!

I think I’m going to enjoy this, some Elvis and some Nixon. This will be even better than watching that insipid Dick Cabot made for HBO. Elvis meets Nixon movie. The only bright spot in that film of course was the guy who played Booger from Revenge of the Nerds!

If this was a St. Patrick’s show from 30 years ago, I can imagine there must’ve been a lot of commentary and insults made by John Cardinal O’Connor. Rest in peace to both Don Imus & Bernard McGuirk.

Gotta love the cardinal, definitely Bernard McGurk’s best character that he ever did for the Imus in the morning program . RIP to both Don and Bernie.!

Is there any Donald Trump on there? I told my kids that Trump was fun when he went on Imus and they didn’t believe me. I’d like to play them some of that.

Since I like to go against popular opinion and conventional wisdom… On the ground that it’s usually wrong, Kurt Cobain did not kill himself because he was tired of his fame and didn’t know how to deal with it, he heard the Eagles were getting back together. That was probably one of the few good things about the 1980s, their brand of peaceful, easy, feeling music never would’ve made it in the 80s not an ear of hard rock and spandex wearing pretty boys!

Rob Bartlett always did a great job of making fun of the lunatic Leonard Jefferies. Some people may not like him because he hates professional wrestling if you want to call it that but quite frankly, most of his impressions are spot on. Rest in peace, John, Donald Imus, and of course Bernard McGurk.!

I like this one because it goes way back into the archives… If you call 30 years that far back and probably we get the best of Imus in the Morning during the wildest and wackiest decade the 20th century had to offer, the 1990s in this case 1994

At 5 minutes 25 seconds. The F-40s were my absolute favorite Diesel Electric Locomotive to operate. I loved sitting up high on this locomotive. I always felt other than a GG-1 the F40’s offered the best protection when hitting any semi trucks, concrete trucks or any large vehicles going around the gates that are down or somehow getting stuck in the gauge of the rails. I never operated any U-Boats/U-33’s on any passenger trains. They were used strictly on the Hoboken Division on NJTRO. After NJTRO retired the E-8’s, E-7’s and the GG-1’s. For a short period of time the E-60’s that had HEP. The E-60’s could develop lateral motion that was scary. I often wondered why none of the E-60’s that when the stabilizing shock absorbers on the trucks would wear out. These locomotives would develop the Extreme Lateral Motion between 70 and 80 mph. That either the flanges on the wheels would break off or the rails would either spread or break. I hated operating the E-60’s so much. That I wouldn’t bid on a South Amboy NJ assignment. Where the Electric E-60’s would swap out with a Diesel Electric Locomotive. Even if it paid more than the next highest paying assignment I could hold. On the Newark Division of NJTRO. It was GP-40’s, F-40’s and the ALP-44’s. I did make the last ever engine change at South Amboy NJ to Bay Head on a F-40 number 4120. After the E-60 number 967 was uncoupled from the train.

Hi Keith - I'm trying to find more information about Imus' visits to Providence. My understanding is he visited in June 1996 and May 2002. I have a photo taken from a show that doesn't look like the set from 1996 or 2002. Did Imus make other visits to RI beside those two? Also, do you know if a recording of his June 1996 show in Providence is recorded and available anywhere? Thank you!

Thank you so much! B101 is a classic rock station and their logo is in the signage in the photo. I appreciate your help so much! Also do you know if there is a way to access the radio recording from his first show in Providence in 1996? My mom was on the show briefly. I’ve never heard the recording.

Wow! It's really sad that this line has been abandoned!! Looks like it would be a perfect place to reintroduce interurban passenger streetcars/trolleys again. I know there are places around Philadelphia which have great passenger services which run on double tracks. They should do that there.

Those stainless steel coaches at about 15:30 were the first stainless steel coaches in the country, built by Budd. I commuted on these to/from Hackensack on the Pascack Valley line. I rode on them again as a volunteer for the Indiana Transportation Museum from 1984-2006.
