"Red pill" derives from the movie _The Matrix_ where Morpheus offers Neo two pills: The blue pill will allow him to remain oblivious to the simulation he's been living in (akin to a dream) while the red pill will allow him to "wake up" from the simulation and discover the depth of the machine he's a part of. From the movie plot: "Neo takes the red pill and awakens in the real world, where he is forcibly ejected from the liquid-filled chamber in which he has obliviously been lying." Saying "red pill" and then lambasting other people for being "woke" is weirdly incongruent and shows that the people making that argument either don't know or don't care about the meaning behind the references they're making if they think it'll make others look stupid. Weird and intentionally deceptive comment; Just because guns are cool and historically significant and therefore featured a lot in action movies doesn't mean that anyone should be able to have an especially dangerous weapon without any true demonstration of competency with that weapon. @@rcharmel9316 The first people talking about secession were the founders. When the French Revolution broke out, there was major concern that our newly formed federal republic wouldn't last. Famous incident of this in 1794, when members of Congress discussed this issue amongst their colleagues. Or the Hartford Convention during the War of 1812. Secession is the most American thing one can do. After all, we seceded from Great Britain- at a time when slavery was practiced in all 13 Colonies. Jim Crow btw was first implemented in New England. Yes, the South did lose the Civil War, but they did not lose in arena of states rights or limited government. And it is the states who have the ultimate power, because that is where people live and are most affected. The Constitution would have not passed if that weren't the case.

When the Colonists attempted to secede from Great Britain, King George promised to free the slaves if they left their rebel masters and fought for the British. In fact George Washington demanded his slaves be returned. Secession is not treasonous. It is a declaration of independence from a centralized authority. Every country ever formed must be called a traitor by your logic, because they broke away from other factions or in some cases the mother country. Many of which practiced slavery.
