You Became What I Hoped You Would Be

Co-written/Guitar by David Bryon Underneath what I thought of you at first Your world was red, I thought it was blue So I took you in and I spun you around Hoping your joy would be found You became what I hoped you would be Taking everything I gave you away from me On top of your desk, there lay the book where you write your day at the end And I'm hoping one day You'll tell me instead and stay ...

Always appreciate the sage! I didn’t know it at the time but last time I said oh hey stop so I can harvest this sage it would end up traveling with me to the other side of the planet. 💚
This is an excellent reminder! Thanks for sharing that story!
Vojnic numberone
Bravo nipote numero one
He reminds me of Roger Waters.
Don't sell him that unbelievably short by comparing him to that man
"Once Russia was no longer the great threat". Russia was the great threat, but everybody forgot.
Penny for your thoughts
Don't know Penny: I think there may be a problem with Islam monotheistic, misogynistic, subjugation of women, homophobia, the black flag of Islam flying above buildings instead no flags... I mean because it's not happening in your/our country...or place where you live and not thinking it needs addressed is Abit like rightfully accusing the USA or GB of having no interest in genocides in countries that have no oil or any other booty, worth going there for.... Islam is religious imperialism.
Bro chil
I wonder if he got a co-vid vaccination. Just curious......
doubt it... he's not stupid is he? do you think he eats Mcplant burgers as well ? lol "I aint thick ..its just a trick ..." " fuck the politically minded...." I think if CRASS became a 'political party' NOW ...they might do quite well .." left wing ....right wing.... YOU CAN STUFF THE LOT !"
He didn't
@Pete Testube or when you understand basic health and media propaganda
@@babybison I love the way you think Crass should become a "political party". That's well funny! You win today's prize for "Talking Out Of Your Arse." 🙄
its too bad i didnt listen to her in 2018 because i dont live far from there :(
Lmao she sound like my friends and even me????? Strange?
ES TAN LINDA, LA AMO
she seems so chill omg

He talks the talk but also walked and still walks the walk, why has penny not been given a Nobel peace prize or whatever it’s called now? I bet he’d refuse it anyway. This is what Curt Cobain wished he was like.
Going to a crass gig was pivotal in the journey to find who I am , however it took me another 37 years to find out who I really am .
And your journey is still going on! I believe we change all the time. As we keep our mind open and curiosity strong, the wisdom of life will finally reveal itself.
When I was exposed to Crass I ended up in a library time and time again trying to figure it all out, I was raised totally drowning in a fantasy world of ideas and concepts which had excluded and denied the existence of every thing else on this planet including the planet itself. It took many years till I really understood these folks were serious and they were not alone, I was not alone and I could leave that world behind the moment I was ready. Crass was my introduction to DIY, Anarchism, Permaculture, Sustainable living, Love.
@@_c_y_p_3 "When I was exposed to Crass" Exposed? I saw Crass live more times than I can remember and loads of other anarcho punk bands too and was mates with all the London ones. Yes we all believed in that counter culture thing but tbh all we did (and all your heroes did) was party and get off our tits doing drugs. That's the truth.
Someone must have started painting the wall white, then were either in a hurry or got bored 😄 Love her music, it's so unique and interesting,(I'm a new listener)and it's what the world needs at the moment, to come in with something so different and worth hearing. I watched another interview with her (Ashley), where she mentioned Deelite and Strawberry Switchblade, who I assume were/are big influences on her. The 80's sound is clear in her music too, which is great. It's like going back in time again.
If you ever read this penny I would like to thank you for showing so many of us that there are genuine people out there by what you did with the band and for showing us young punks back then a different way than the paths we were being led down by who ever it may have been. Thank you for the love and it is reflected back to you and all your contemporaries
"Penny for your thoughts" a very wise man with a great mind and love for humanity. Gee has an exceptional creative talent.
I'd have to disagree with his version of events regarding the wall falling & the western creation of fear of Islam being responsible for causing wars in the middle east purely for the pursuit of monetary gain for the west. I'm pretty sure the creation of the Islamic Republic of Iran caused this in the late 70's & subsequent terrorist activities that followed.
©rass:Do They Owe Us A Living? ©rass:So What
I don't tick the box.
I wonder how he feels now that Trump has pulled troops out of the middle east.
this is great - in terms of the trump comments - bang on
Good bloke that man.
Love Gee's portraits
The UK is too cold to walk away from the roof over your head...to turn your back on the fucked up society ,to not be complicit , is a massive challenge -I would not last a week this weather.....I wanna be in a small band of nomadic gatherer hunters but nobody is giving back my intact ecosystem any time soon...all other human grouping has been destructive to the planet and ourselves.
Thank you Julia for posting this interview with Penny Rimbaud.
Thank you!
@@JuliaTrechak Have watched this fantastic talk from Pen a few times but wondered if you had any more footage, however raw? Thanks so much for posting this up though. Such wise words from someone with a fascinating perspective on the world, its people and the power systems.
@@sesltd1107Yeah upload the whole of the recording! Or maybe not. Perhaps the way you have edited it is perfectly concise and succinct with its message and meaning. I have returned to your video for inspiration multiple times and shared with others. 10 minutes of pure wisdom. Each one teach one.
Beautiful, heartbreaking, and bittersweet. Great stuff
Thank you so much!
I love her speaking voice!!! 💫💖
I love her💞
Hot Shit!
Muito bom👌<3
thank you!
@@JuliaTrechak I met you for Ariel.
When and where was this exhibition? It's all very well saying ignore trump but ignore him and you would of got hillary. And saying islam is now the new created enemy instead of russia then wtf has all this russian bullshit collusion been all about? An anarchist sticking up for a 'faith'. Religion. Nice one penny.
Faith is not the same as religion. We can have faith in things other than a god. And I don't think Penny is 'sticking up' for any particular faith, just pointing out that faith is a difficult enemy to overcome.
I bet u he werent paying
Skimming the surface here M'Darling.
Buying in to those two choices is as it is , change,.
Sage words from a man who we could all learn a great deal from. It’s not rocket science...but it takes people like him who can articulate concepts to get the message out there. If you’re serious about changing things you’re going to have to take a good look at your own role in this whole situation first. He’s not a wishy washy dreamer...he’s quite belligerent, not just a man of words, he walks the walk.
No governments, no weapons, no possesion, ..Anarchy for the whole world!
How did you posses the means to leave this comment without a possession or the act of possession?
How can I give this video two thumbs down? ...asking for a friend
I know it’s trival, but he’s looking bloody great !
He always did, he’s near 80 now yet is more informed than most 25 years olds
@@samyandkitty8399 Sorry to state the obvious but you'd hope any person with the knowledge and insight gained from 80 years of life experience would be more informed than someone with just 25 years. No disrespect to any 25 year old but there are 50 more years of advantage here.
Brilliant. <3
Thank u Love!
