​@@DGPianoUK You're quite welcome, and thank you for the kind words! It's very rare to find someone who can arrange something for piano, takes the time to write out the sheet music, and can also play it. There are several arrangements that have sheet music, but they don't sound that good or are very awkward to play because whoever arranged them didn't arrange it "for piano" they just wrote down the notes. So it's quite refreshing to have stumbled upon your channel, and again, I very much appreciate the time and effort you're putting into it!

@@nogard8541 aww thanks that was a nice comment. I actually pride myself on giving good quality sheet music and try to arrange it in a way that makes it easy to understand. I know one of the pieces you are referring to and yes it looks so cluttered…almost like when you make a midi file and then convert it to sheet music.

Thanks! I'm starting to work on Farewell now. Current best is 49 deaths, so it'll definitely be a while before I'm seriously going for it, but hopefully I'll have the motivation and tenacity to do it.

I do my splits against the sum of my best segments, so the 1:26:36 was the sum of my best possible times. The previous WR at the time of this video was 1:31:22. So still far from optimized. I honestly think this could go as low as 1:25:00 with a little bit of rerouting and cleaner play, but the computer I was using to capture everything died a couple weeks after I got this run and I've never replaced it which is why I haven't continued to push the time down further. I'm hoping I can get back into it though! Thanks for the kind words and for watching!

That computer kinda died which is why I haven't done any more videos, haha. It was for sure struggling here.

The computer I was streaming through was having a rough time (and it's why I haven't recorded any attempts in the past year). But that's where the fan noise was coming from. Didn't know it was there until I looked at the recording later.

Haha, I promise I died just as much as you did on my first play through of the game (actually more)! Every level has a planned route. I basically always get all the items in the same order, and the only variances I have are just when I mess up and have to go up bamboo differently for example. Thanks a ton for watching! =D

Thanks! I think sub 1:30 will happen fairly soon! I typically stream on Wednesday evenings and some on the weekends if I'm free. I don't have very many watchers (this run didn't have any, haha), but I'd love to talk about the game with anyone who's able to drop by!

The combination of the cute characters and David Wise's music always puts a smile on my face. I'll routinely listen to the music for Sog-Gee's realm when I want to focus or calm down =)

Niiice! Congrats on getting it! =D I know from my first play-through just how tough some of those items are to get. I think I spent almost 2 hours getting one coin in level 14.

Thanks! I've had a ton of runs get to the last 2 levels and I just choked super hard on them, so to finally get there and not only not choke but set two level PBs on them felt so nice =D

Yeah, the camera's got some weird properties. Actually moving the camera with the right analog works just fine, but there are two things that make it a pain to use. The first is that the camera can't pass through anything, so if you're against a wall or some random tree and try to move it, it doesn't really know how to handle that and goes in a seemingly random spot. The other thing is that the camera does try to automatically position itself to follow your movements, so you could have it in the exact location you want, and then it can just rotate on you and mess up your direction. You kind of get used to it the more you play and can adapt when it gives you some weird perspective, but it's definitely messed me up on more than a handful of situations.

I use default. I played around with easy at one point, but it was actually harder for me to control, haha.

No Gard ah I played through the whole first world using easy without realizing and now realize there's a default (I guess I switched it at some point accidentally). Great job on the run btw

I didn't know easy controls existed until I checked out the speedrun leaderboards and saw a "no easy controls" rule, and I was all, "What are easy controls?" And I thought since you could also get it on PC, that you could hotkey some things to make a lot of stuff really easy, and that's what it meant. But then I found that setting later and it made more sense, ha. Thanks a bunch for watching! It definitely means a lot =)

No Gard after playin with the default controls today I agree with you. Default gives much better control. I haven't actually watched your entire run, only the parts I've played so far so I don't spoil. Will be watching it more as I get through the game, kudos for running it man, this game's a gem

Thanks! It's a fun game to run! There's no randomness in the route that I've made for it, so it's all execution and trying to make global timers on levels that have moving parts. If you do wanna get into it, don't hesitate to ask for anything if you have any questions. I'd love to have some competition in this category! The any% is getting more attention right now with C4ctus and Opixer going back and forth, but I'm the only active runner for 100%

Thanks! 1:40 is the next huge goal, but I think that's gonna take almost a near-perfect run, especially with the current routing. Next I'll just try to break 1:44 and move down by single minutes from there.

Awesome! Best of luck to you on that =) I'll probably do a couple more 100% runs tonight to see if I can break the 2-hour mark. That's my next goal, but I think 100% can get down below 1:50:00, maybe even as low as 1:45:00.

I just started last week streaming so I'm trying to get a better setup and such for it, but my twitch name is aquilarion. At the moment, I'm just doing the game video/audio, no commentary, but I hope to change that. I just need to figure out how to configure it on my end.
