For a Swede like me that loves surströmming, this is so weird :) You don´t never ever eat it right from the can but you rinse away the liquid and peel off the skin and slice it into small pieces and mix it with creme fraiche, boiled potatoes and onions together with thinbread (tunnbröd) and drink some vodka or akvavit and beer and the experience will be more pleasant. See the fermented herring as a "spice" and you will understand. You don´t put a lot of strong chili in your mouth and find it pleasant either or a lot of cinnamon only, right? :) 😀For some reason it does look like the fish is really rotten :)

Successful surströmming challenge guideline: 1. everyone stays within the camera range - never ever go outside. 2. Prepare the challenge seriously by having drank plenty of water or preferrably milk beforehand. 3. If you want to puke, do it towards the camera - not away from the camera. 4. Everyone stays until the last person finishes. 5. Many bonus points if you puke on your neighbour. Btw, I am from Sweden. You are welcome.
