My parents took my sister to see you in concert when I was 4 or 5 years old and I somehow still have a memory of sitting there quietly and being taken away - this really takes me to a lovely and simple time. I can't believe you sound exactly the same as you did 20 years ago! It's moving me to tears, thank you for doing what you do. Much love.

I found this song, just a few lyrics, actually, in a "Better Homes and Gardens" magazine from 2008, "Halloween tricks & treats", page 120 right before the back cover. Out of curiosity I looked it up and was hooked. It was during the time a friend and I were working intently on his original Halloween play, and this was a great inspiration for him as well. It has become one of our Hallowe'en standards.

Peter, you’re right AND left handed techniques have forever amazed me. I’ve seen you play live a couple dozen times over the years and always sit close enough to intently watch your playing. Then I get home, grab my guitar and have at it with little real success at pulling off even a reasonably acceptable rendition of your songs. Makes me crazy! Love your music Peter! Peter, I first heard this song performed by Jack Fowler (a very fine songwriter and performer in his own right) several years back at Center for Spiritual Living Nashville, where I also perform regularly. I was so moved by it, and it stuck with me. I'm sure he gave you credit, but it came into my mind recently and I could not recall who the writer was. I looked it up, found the video from the WDVX "Blue Plate Special" show and was absolutely floored by your performance of it! It just honestly doesn't get any better or more poignant, and your guitar playing is equally stellar. The soul that wrote that is one I want to hear more from. For what it's worth, you've just acquired a new fan. Thank you for the inspiration!
