yes indeed, Has the Tele dialed in perfectly a good over drive and reverb/delay thru a good system goes a long long way. And Yes indeed Foghat were under rated and still are.
I can almost get my P.R.S. to scream like that (Original Tube Screamer, Octave, MT2 pedals) through a MESA Head And Half Stack. Thats all my wife and the neighbor(s) & hood will let me play through.
It was writen one time that one of Angus Youngs Influences was The Great Foghat I Saw them in thier original form and Lonesome Dave Was a True show man. my point? Dave allways said Foghat was state of mind. Ride on The Slow Ride
THIS WAS BRILLIANT!!!! GEAR!!! FAB!!! You did SOOOO well, I'm goad there was a little bit of Brain. He WAS the 5th Beatle.... I need to know, where did the clip 1:55 - 2:02 come from? So cute, running down the hall! <3 my fav video on RUclips now <3 <3 <3
That tele has some hot pickups and hes gotta be runnin a hot pedal in front of that marshall to sound that thick. Ive got DMZ choppers in my tele and it is like LP with the pickups up high ... almost too dark
Believe the tune is called California Blues. Off Live II. Just saw these guys in June of 2011. Great energy and show. For those of you hanging onto the past: let it go! Foghat is on a huge tour through the end of the year. Check 'um out.
hey thanks for the video! I´ve got a pt too- very, very reliable. pt ftw! 1st song´s funny especially since my name is bill & my brother´s bob! Keep on cruizin!!! XD
You all needed to see Foghat when Lonesome Dave and Rod Price were alive. Man, the Boogie brothers were alive, well and kickin' ass. Not taking anything away from the new incarnation, but original crispy is better than grilled.
@nutz4all - the younger generation doesn't hear music like this because it isn't mainstream anymore like back in the 70's - they are stuck listening to all the mindless crap that passes for music these days because some record label can make money off it - you're right it IS sad - but at least thanks to youtube they can find it if they want to - this is REAL music
This is what I mean when I tell the younger guys about "carrying on a conversation" on guitars. These guys are masters at it. Wow!!!!! And yes, what incredible tone!! There's not many vids on youtube that have great sound, but the tone on this on makes shivers run up and down my spine!! YEAH!!!!!
fuck today's processed shit the bean counters are pushing. i don't think it matters what age, this is serious guitar blues/rock. this has feel...soul....nothing being shoved on us has this. today's crap disappears as soon as some other crap comes along. hope this attitude of guitar comes back around. kids need to get off the computer & do this playing for real
@bwho Man, I HEAR ya!! That's how I feel about their exclusion of another AWESOME group - Rush - who has been steadily producing GREAT songs for well OVER 35+ years!!

@hellhound551 How true
So, like the one guy's from Molly Hatchet, but what about the FNG???? Nope, never gonna be Dave & Rod...
I seen these guys back in the 70's and they was great..they still give me that great "bluesy " feellin' :-)
proof that you don't have to play "fast" to rock.

Just so that everyone on here knows: the band's 'Last Train Home' album SMOKES!!!!!

@ctfair Actually Craig MacGregor is on bass...He took over for Stevens back in the 70's around the FOOL FOR THE CITY era.....
Everytime I start to think I want something besides a telecaster, I hear something like this.

Holy sheit, where has this been hiding??!!!
Roger Earl on drums is probably the only original member...I think Tony Stevens (bass) retired and all the other original members have died.
I saw these guys a few years ago at a State Fair and they were awesome. rod price is sooooo good.
@dionisotorock por que
