Love Does Not Envy - Genesis 30:1-24
When Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, she envied her sister. She said to Jacob, “Give me children, or I shall die!” 2 Jacob's anger was kindled against Rachel, and he said, “Am I in the place of God, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?” 3 Then she said, “Here is my servant Bilhah; go in to her, so that she may give birth on my behalf, that even I may have children through her.” 4 So she gave him her servant Bilhah as a wife, and Jacob went in to her. 5 And Bilhah conceived and bore Jacob a son. 6 Then Rachel said, “God has judged me, and has also heard my voice and given me a son.” Therefore she called his name Dan. 7 Rachel's servant Bilhah conceived again and bor...

Seeing how this has absolutely nothing to do with the content of the video, I assume you are trolling Christian videos looking to release your venom. Usually it's the problem of authority that arises with the notion of a supreme being to which we all are accountable and these skeptics 101 statements serve as a way of propping up resolve for your rebellion. At least, that's how it used to be for me. Please don't confuse chattel slavery of the West with indentured servitude of the Israeli Middle East. One is the involuntary seizing of a person(s) from his or her home and then selling that person(s) on the open market to be bought like an animal or object, with no safeguards for his safety. These slaves had little to no chance of ever being set free, and that radiated throughout their lineage for the foreseeable future. The other is done out of necessity by the one who sells himself into service for 6 years in order to meet his needs, with the safeguard that, if he was harmed, the person he hired himself out to could even be killed. Someone could have paid to end the person's service earlier, but even if no one did, the person would be released at the end of 6 years. Unless, as the law says, if the person LOVES his life there and doesn't WANT to go, he can ASK to be a servant there for life. In the New Testament we have a very different set up with the letters being written to gentiles in the West. The advice from Paul is to become free if possible, but if not possible... he falls back on the words of the Lord Jesus to "Love your Enemies" and that includes slave owners. With people as property being backed into the social and economic crust of the culture in Asia Minor and to the west, telling slaves to rise up would have been a death sentence for them. It would have been a blood bath that rivaled the blood spilt at the Nika Revolts, although those wouldn't take place for another 450 years. I sure hope you're asking questions in the future instead making anger-filled comments.

How can one greatly delight in HIS commandments by dismissing most of them as having been brought to an end? Jesus is The Word become flesh. Even The Chosen has Jesus say... I am The Law of Moses .... Yet somehow part of him didn't resurrect. HE is the same yesterday, today, and forever Heb 13:8 therefore just as HE said one jot or tittle shall in no way pass ... The Law is the same yesterday, today, and forever... The seed, and the fruit is faith and works. The seed is The Word Luke 8:11. We are HIS brothers and sisters .... fellow heirs ... When we Hear the word, and do it.. Having the same seed as Jesus (The Word) and producing the same fruit. That's walk as HE walked 1 Jhn 2:6, imitate Christ as Paul did 1 Cor 11:1, Follow HIS example 1 Pet 2:21, and take up our cross and follow HIM Matt 10:38. Blessings.

Thanks for your comment Mike. That's not entirely what I mean, but that is part of it. If you have a minute let me explain. First, we have to separate Fear of God from general fear. Fear isn't bad in its own right, it's only what or who you fear that can make it sinful. If we fear the World, the Flesh and the Devil, that shows that we have forgotten or haven't fully known the God that is powerful to save. If we fear God, it is a sign of wisdom, for He is Holy and Just; the apex of all Power and Knowledge. When imperfect creatures understand the magnitude of their perfect Creator, the contrast should rightly cause fear. And so it was when I first read scripture and saw my sinful and hopeless state before a Holy God that I couldn't stand before, and I feared judgement. Hebrews 10:31 "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." It was that fear that propelled me to trust all my life to the salvation accomplished in His Son Jesus. But what you said is true, and it shows signs of true belief in Christ. Look at 2 Corinthians 7:10 "For godly sorrow produces repentance..." When a Christian sins, he fears that he has hurt the heart of God. This produces godly sorrow, which in turn causes the believer to ask God for forgiveness and for the strength/courage to change and not hurt Him again. Thanks for asking.

Where meats do have protein, as we both said, they are so much more than just that. They are also, fats, Iron, calcium, zinc, phosphorous, potassium, sodium, B vitamins, vitamin D, and cholesterol. Which is to say, if we remove essential parts from something, like scripture, they may still do us some good, Such as Richard Dawkins claiming to be a "Cultural Christian" (ruclips.net/video/COHgEFUFWyg/видео.htmlsi=OGj0RUAwLUex3RRJ) because it forsters Humanitarianism, but it doesn't garner the fullness of the thing itself.

There is really something transformative that takes place with eye witness that can't be duplicated by mere second-hand stories. Gamaliel - a first century Jewish teacher gave sound advice concerning the preaching of a risen Christ, "IF this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; BUT if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it - lest you even be found to fight against God." 2,000 years and it hasn't come to nothing. That's something you can witness with your eyes today.

Isn't it amazing that the so-called "man of god" is #BULLSHITTING his congregation by #MISQUOTING the #BIBLE. And the so-called "christians" SUCK up this #bullshit without studying what this #BULLSHITTER "#pastor" is saying... WAKE THE F*CK UP #CHRISTIANS!!!

And how Are we to know that the witnesses are real and not just other characters in a fictional story?

Fiction has no power to change the world. You can see the impact Christianity has had on the world. Harry Potter may trend for a few generations, and Hunger Games may live on as long as books and movies keep being made, but all they have the power to do is entertain.

@brookvillebaptist Oh I disagree ...I believe that most of the dialogues that Plato wrote were probably fictional and yet the foundation of western civilization.

Touché! But as you just said, "Western Civilization" , that's only part of the world. Christ is changing lives from East to West. Philosophical fiction can only do so much.

WE PREACH CHRIST CRUCIFIED, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Gentiles FOOLISHNESS, (or in your words Craziness) 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 1 Corinthians 1:23-24

I get Angry at Evil! At Evil,! My response to Evil is silence and no contact. The only reconcile I do is with God or God's people. Not all people. Do not reconcile with the devil. Lest you turn back to your sins

We shouldn't attempt to reconcile an unbelieving life with one that has been redeemed by the perfect blood of Christ. But what we must do is to never grow weary of preaching the Gospel to our unbelieving neighbor and to, as Hebrews 12:14 says, "Pursue peace with all people." The devil doesn't fall into the category of "people" because he is not a human being but an angelic being. Finding a way to be peaceable with unbelieving people around us opens a door for evangelism to take place.
