I hope you kept the tops and seeds, and planted them ?
Thanks for your comment, tops and seeds are very slow to grow and not vigorous, traditional planting out is only ever done with side shoot sucker's as shown as they grow quickly and fruit within the year after transplanting.
Where are you growing?
Hi, we are gardening in north Vanuatu, a small South Pacific island nation
Great video, cost effective material! I've just been building an outside toilet in a similar method.
Thanks mate, glad your outdoor 'dunny' as Aussies call it worked out well with FC cladding. You'd be done with 3 sheets on three sides and a door isn't it.
My pineapple turned yellow but the edge of each pattern still green. Skin is still hard but no pups 😩
I hope all is well with you. I looked at your RUclips channel today and discovered a few issues. Would you want to discuss them for a bit?
Where are you located?
Seems like you allowed your watermelon plant to get too large. With that large vine the plant can not focus on growing best mellows. Too much energy is going to the leaves.
wow sarap pinya
Some lawn fabric would be bennifical.
Good morning, I'm talking about Brazil. I would like to know what variety this giant pineapple is????
Bom dia, falo do Brasil.gostaria de saber qual a variedade desse abacaxi gigante ????
❤❤❤❤ beautiful from Gardening with kirk ❤
I'm sure tasted delicious FRESH homeground watermelons! I can't even grow one watermelon lol
Great video Ben. That’s some nice Eggplants there. I got a decent sized crop from my one & only eggplant tree/bush. Going to try the long white variety next season.
Thanks mate, yeah it's surprising how much you can get from a single bush in the corner of the garden, certainly worth the garden space, we enjoyed growing different kinds too, we had a bush of smaller round white ones in brisbane that was also super prolific for several months, I find smaller varieties can give more than the giant ones, especially with lots of fertiliser and mulch. The long ones are nice to cook too, just cut in half and baked with other veg, yummy. To be honest I'm so encouraged that you are so into growing food now, practicing what we preach about resilience. Hope we can inspire many others to see great value in growing a bunch of thier own quality food, especially in the coming times
@@SimpleNaturalPractical growing up on the farm as a kid was the best lifestyle but as an adult I’ve lived in cement village, it’s nice and rewarding getting back into growing food. I’m going to try and promote your channel. I think the content you’re putting out is exceptional & people need to watch it. So educational.
Yeah what a privilege for children to grow up surrounded by nature and practical life, it's the true education modern society robs so many of. I'm struggling to start to make decent videos and it will be a while before the audio and visuals are half decent, but I wanted to start many years ago, and it's now or never I think, I'll do my first 100, and try get better. I can see how hard it is to squeeze out the time to pump out vids when your not very tech savvy, even if your passionate, it takes a lot to do it consistently and improve. I hope I can be a blessing, there's so much of the fundamental basics of healthy and resilient living that most completely missed in wasted years of unbalanced and deficient education. You could say that about practical business sense and financial know-how too I'm sure.
Promo sm 😌
pay well to those slaves
Very detailed and well explained thanks for producing this video ?
Glad it was helpful!
Yummy good for summer season
Yes it is
Come and weed it bro, when your over again 😂 We poison noxious weeds only, the rest I have an interest in as to why they are in tne ground and what are they trying to teach us?
Ill try do a vid on what weeds teach us sometime, its complicated but fascinating, i suggest look up what Geoff Lawton teaches on this
So cool, I have never seen it either, asked the elders on my friends list for the why/how it's attracted to iron, my only answer is God 🙏
Yes, Where we have lots of leaves and tree's there will be very rich black topsoil verses where it's more bare we have red clay. 😀
Do you make tepache with the pineapple peels?
No, but I'll look into it
Great job!
Thanks!
Is it a Spondias Dulcis? Otherwise known as the Naus fruit?
We have Naus fruit here, they are also similar size, a bit smaller and have a larger seed which is spiky, and tastes more sour like a granny Smith and has that more crunchy texture like an apple, Naus also turn more yellow when ripe. To be honest Naus should have the name island apple, this one is much more like a pear. I'll show some Naus when they ripen again
@@SimpleNaturalPractical wow, yeah I have no idea then. What a unique fruit the island apple is.
Thank you for this video. Aren't the leaves sharp? How are you handling it? Also do you need to water? What part of the world? We just landed on a neglected farm in Costa Rica with very few unripe pineapple plants and we are trying to care and spread them
Yes they do need good watering in dry periods to grow well, but are fairly hardy once established. Glad to hear your tackling gardening challenges somewhere new, how exciting. We are in Vanuatu in the tropical south pacific islands, volunteering at a remote school
Yes the leaves are serated and can cut so good to have leather gloves, my hands are already leathery from construction work and gardening but I'm still careful
Super cool and helpful thanks! I see I commented from a different account…
Very beautiful harvesting these large yummy pineapples my friend 😋🍍; they are very large man! I would like to know what special treatment or fertilizer you’ve used for them to be this large sizes of 5 pounds upwards.
Cheers mate, I use a good liquid fertilizer with trace minerals, a little sea water added, and mulch the weeds and grass down regularly
Hey there. Are these pineapple plants have spikes around the borders of their leaves or they are plain leaves with no spikes? Just curious to know was shocked you're walking there in shorts those leaves might injure you.

Elevated floor cement, no wood, metal lasts long!
Australians call FC sheet 'Fibro'
There's a red and ripe one right there ❤
