    Great video my dude, I would recommend investing in better audio, it would up the quality by so much, and it’s just as simple as doing a voice over with a proper mic, but great video anyways, loved it.

    It appears that your LSSM is not bolted to the bench, perhaps you would have better results if you did so.

    I did this with a 3" diamond hole saw on a 4 and 1/2" pre rounded piece of petrified wood and it destroyed my hole saw. 47.00$ it ruined it way before I was able to get it perfect. 🥴 . O well . I need to get some diamond impregnated brazing rod to replenish the lost surface. Thanksfor sharing your video.

    Interesting. I seriously hope you don't show the video of your hands being mangled by the home bodged grinder. Seriously sketchy setup and use. It isn't even bolted down by the looks of it. Can't argue about the results though.

    Not to take anything away from this very talented kid, but someone your age with this skill set and access to this variety of machinery clearly has some cool and supportive patterns! I never cease being amazed at the proficiency youngins can attain when starting things early and often. Awesome work dude! Take this interest and commitment into a many "hobbies" as possible, and you'll be a talented and well rounded individual. EDIT: It came out incredible! If i had this setup I'd immediately make to things: 1, a set of bocci balls and 2, a scale model of planets incorporated into some sort of cool solar system display... so jealous!

    I have a friend named stumpy. If you keep wearing loose long sleeves around spinning machinery, youre gonna be someone's friend named stumpy... Obligatory safety warning aside, very impressive work! I wish i had that level of passion for something constructive when i was young. Subbed.

      I used to work with a guy named 'knuckle'. same principle but with gloves and machinery. if you're cold, get a space heater or something or bind up your sweatshirt so as not to get caught. looking forward to seeing more spheres. I'll sub to see what you come up with.

      I agree. Motorized spinning things want everything and everybody they can get a hold of to spin with them. The WORST spin class ever! Stay safe Robert.

    Thank you. Very interesting. May I suggest you get rid of the background “music.” Very repetitive and distracting. Adds nothing to the content. But the sound of the machine is interesting. Also I would like footage at normal speed. No need to speed anything up. 10 seconds of real time video at the beginning and end of every grit would be plenty. Thanks again.

    Very interesting video. It would have been even better if you had turned the camera 90 degrees so the viewer would get a full screen view rather than vertical slot.

    That is a dust mask, not a fume mask, hence no protection against fumes. The lack of eye protection, and gloves, is more troubling.

    WIth such an uneven organic shape you will need something to hold it securely and stop it from shifing in the vice. Possibly some soft pine scraps that you could carve to somwhat fit before clamipng the bejeesus out of it... Copper is soft and gummy and is probaly loading the diamond blade to the degree that it won't remove any more material and then it jams, so some lubrication might help and checking the blade and work frequentley...

    • @RobertRocksandLapidary
      @RobertRocksandLapidary 6 месяцев назад

      No offense but did you even watch the video the vice has wood grips that mold into shape when you tighten them very tight onto the Rock I tighten my stones in the Vise tight enough to where I can hit them with a hammer and they do not move the second thing is these are oil saws did you see the oil in the bottom of the tank the blades sits down in the oil and when the saw runs oil sprays up all over the workpiece you can see the oil is all over the piece of copper when I open the saw back up and the oil keeps everything cool

    • @step4560
      @step4560 6 месяцев назад

      @@RobertRocksandLapidary I wouldn'tmake a comment unless I watched the video... You show your clamping setup for maybe one second from a poor angle, but it looks flimsy to me. You might wish to invest in a blade that is deigned to cut copper or aluminum, or use a completely different saw such as a bandsaw, you know, the right too for the job... In any case, you're doing really cool shit and don't ever let anyone get you down. Keep at it and you'll go really far... ❤️🐾
