Would have had reservations about restoring this particular knife as there were so many counterfeits made but the steel of the blade looked fine. You made a silk purse from a sows ear, good job. If you are in Europe I have a Richards to send you if you run out of knives!

тут одразу видно, що це стара річ. а то є такі "реставратори", поллють якоюсь кислотою латунну запальничку, обваляють в якійсь гидоті , вона стає іржава наче стара залізяка, і типу починають реставрувати, а там тільки помити, наполірувати і як нова
Дякую, так і є. Також слід відзначити що дуже глибока корозія латуні була на запальничці. До кінця так і не зміг відчистити, так як вона пішла в глиб металу.

Багато залишилися від періоду першої світової, з другої, але часто стан дуже вбитий)
Ніж новоділ штучно зістаренний в якомусь розчині.Якщо він такий давній ??Де раковини від корозії ??
А де я вказав що він давній?) Це сучасний ніж, який валявся в гаражі декілька років.

Нож позднесоветский, харьковского завода "Металлист". Накладки пластиковые, без узора и орнамента. Только клеймо на них завода "Металлист" и цена. Работа отличная.
