I was in IT for 37+ years. There is cycles of hiring and layoffs. What I see right now is a lot of experienced people looking for work. IT staff have never been looked at like a profit center, so being expensive, they are subject to layoffs. The other issue besides the glut of experienced people, is the people outside the US trying to get in to work in IT here. That way, they can send money home to their families. I've seen a lot of people that just would never be great software engineers. One told me they were only here as a programmer so they could move into management eventually. With all the packaged applications out there, there is less and less SWE's required. I also think AI will be the ultimate code generator. Maybe look to get in somewhere as a maintenance programmer on the ground floor. Won't pay a lot, but will get experience and application knowledge on how systems work within a company. Me, if I had it to do over again, I would have gone to a vo-tech and started my own business after getting some work experience.

Thanks for your video❤ it's very inspiring. I don't like work out but I love dancing. In August 2021 I was almost 200 pounds. I started doing Zumba 3 times a week for 20 and slowly I reached 55 minutes. I wasn't on a diet but I didn't drink sweet drinks and junk food and I lost 35 pounds in ten months. I ate out every Sunday but with my friends we used to walk for 40/50 minutes after lunch at a very slow pace. From August 2022 to this August I lost 4 pounds 😂but I changed my body composition. I didn't do Zumba anymore but I kept hitting 12000/13000 steps and I only started doing Zumba (with no jumps)in the end of June. Now I'll do Zumba again 4 times a week for 55 minutes and I'll be more careful with the food. I gave myself another year to lose my last 40 pounds....if I lose 20 it's fine anyway.
