Welcome, thank you for joining my channel. First, I want you to know I changed my channel name because I was never happy with it. As for my channel, I'll be posting all types of videos. A lot of my videos will be about working in my gardens. Sometimes, I'll share outings. I got hurt last year and became depressed. So, I deleted my channel. Also, my husband has had to have heart surgery. Things haven't been going great for us, but we're hanging in there. My family has encouraged me to start over, and that is what I am doing. I hope you will come along and share in the work, fun, and adventurers. I will post as often as time allows. Maybe this will be the year I can get my channel monatized. Making Tea Without Electricity

Been a busy week and today is no different. Wanting to get some weeding done can make you thirsty. Decided to make a jar of sun tea while I was working. It was ready to drink by the time I was ready for a break. Easy to make. Fill jar with water and tea bags, then wait. Add sugar to sweeten before drinking. So easy. This is the first time I have tried spourting beans this way. It worked really well. Will do this again. You want to keep to soil wet and them moist once they take off growing after being planted. I will fertilize once they have settled in their pots. I will not be planting them in the ground for another month. How does your soil look so good , mine is red clay !
When I created this bed a couple years ago. I mixed mulch into the soil. Then added cheap top soil on top of that. The soil improved over time after doing that. It use to be hard clay.

Cool gadget! I love that it fits on a 5-gal bucket. And if you don’t mind me sharing… the mold on wood chips is probably mycelium from mushroom spawn. It’s the fungus breaking it down and is not mold as we typically think about it.

Couldnt really see where you were beginning.
Sorry about that, I started with the smaller branches at the bottom and worked my way up. Really didn't know what I was doing. First time trying this, but I'm happy with how it turned out. Plus, I knew I could always dig the shrub up if I hated it.

How do you decide which branches to keep? Is it purely an artistic decision?
I looked for the larger branches. Once I had all the smaller ones cut out, I decided between them, the ones I wanted to keep.
The truth is, I guessed. I took out the skinny short branches first. Keep the thicher tall branches. Then, decide which of those to remove or you can keep them all. I decided to keep the ones that were not close to each other. This gave them room for the tops to spread out so I can hopefully turn them into round balls as they grow. It was my first time trying this. I knew if I wasn't happy with how it turned out, I could always dig the shrub up and discard it.
