I love living and riding bicycles on this Island. I grew up riding BMX only for the past 30 years or so, I remember seeing Dylan at Qualicum Beach (where I grew up) skatepark on a BMX a few times and it got me into BMX and I kinda just stayed riding Skatepark and Street only on BMX. I've also seen Darren at the skateparks many times both on his mountain bikes and a BMX a few times, he was always sketchy as hell in the park, but a super chill dude and I always respected him and his amazing accomplishments in the MTB world, I didnt know until now that he raced BMX, which makes it even more strange that I distinctly remember him being really really squirlly on a BMX at the skatepark. I finally got a real mountain bike a couple years ago after living in Nanaimo a few years and am learning about trails and all the fun stuff you can do on a Mountainbike. I never had much interest in Mountainbikes because whenever someone would bring one to ride at the skatepark it would be rattly, and something would always break while doing not even remotely as big of jumps or drops as the BMX's of the same era could take. Nowadays they are tougher than ever, and I'm glad I own 3 capable MTBs (Specialized P3, Devinci Kobain hardtail and a Trek Slash) along with my BSD BMX. Ride all the bikes and love life. Super glad these videos exist as I only ever saw bits and pieces of them on TV back then and I remember going (Hey thats the dreadlock guy from the skatepark)

Crazy, I grew up in Qualicum Beach and saw Dylan riding a BMX at the skatepark, it made me want a BMX, I then rode BMX for like 30 years or so now, and only now did I finally get a MTB. I always knew Dylan mostly rode MTB and caught this show a couple times on TV when I was young and saw that Dylan was in it. I'd ridden the skatepark a few times more and Dylan would randomly show up on a MTB and do some stuff, super cool especially once I started to be able to ride the same jumps and whatnot at the park as him. Now I'm playing catch uo all over again learning Mountain trails and its nostalgic to see his RUclips channel and what he's doin these days, and even more nostalgic to see these old videos pop up. This is RAD. I should somehow go see if I can run into Dylan again, theres only so many trails out there.

These guys got me into mountain biking, 15 years later, I'm 37 and I finally bought a Norco bike that can do the bike parks, so much fun, till you need stitches and bruise a rib, end up with a badass story from Revelstoke.

Loved every bit of drop in tv…gutted to reach the final episode..I bet that bus still smells a bit! 😅 long live drop in and all who sailed on her..👍

I watched this growing up in Eastern Europe. I never thought I'll be able to afford a bike like that. Now I live in California and ride a full carbon Santa Cruz :) Life is good.

I used to recorded this on vhs back in the day watch watch it over and over again. I rode a kona stinky in 2005 had a bad crash in 2009 nearly lost my foot, here I am now 38 years old and I’m back on a bike feeling like a kid again

Thanks so much for posting these videos up, I was wondering what happened to Season 5. I grew up watching Drop In TV as a kid back when it was OLN in Canada so it's great having access to these videos over 20 years later! Not gonna lie, these videos made me the dirt bag I am toady!😃

Wow, this really brought me back. This was my favourite show when I was 13. Crazy to see how much mountain biking has advanced since this time. But these guys were true Canadian pioneers

This show is the real OG. My brother and I taped the first 3 seasons from TV all onto VHS tapes so we could watch every morning before school. That was a long ass time ago! This is the show that got us into biking, much love Drop in!!

Man, this was back when I was in my prime riding on a grass roots deal for Norco - loved my team shore - loved the Canadian boys. I was living out in Golden skiing tons of pow then moved back to Ontario and rode Blue every weekend with yearly trips to Whistler and Bromont. I go into MTB in the 90's - when we started free riding we really felt like we were pioneers - some of the best times of my life. I linked up with these guys and rode with them several times - they were totally cool and happy to ride with the locals - they came to Blue for a weekend and they were with Wade Simmons - killer weekend of shredding. Great memories - took a toll on my body over the years and eventually had to give up riding DH all the time but I still get out trail riding at 3-Stage every week and love it. Next is an e-bike so I can start to shuttle myself. Miss these days - I remember the energy when a group of guys got together and pushed the boundaries.
