I just taped Dawson's class performance with the other second grade classes. They sing two Irish songs. (Not sure why they chose Ireland after St. Paddy's Day. They sing Too Ra Loo Ra Loo Ral (An Irish Lullaby) and Da...

Dawson received a "Citizenship Award" at his school assembly on November 9, 2015. He got it for using his "Peace Builder Powers". It was presented to him by his Principal Mrs. Young. The clip here shows him crossing the stage as Mrs. Young reads out the reasons he is getting the award. The clip is about 40 seconds long. I shot it from the parents section of the audience behind all the students ...

How did they manage to get such little horsepower out of such a big engine?
Seems like Rolls Royce was always a struggling manufacturer. They were still building their cars by hand mostly while other manufacturers had long moved on to automation in some capacity.
Rolls royce is a devine rolling masterpiece that make you feel one of a kind
6:51 Looks like the exhaust clamp is cracked: Rolls-Royce junk ?
Who is still alive in this thread say me!!!
What an amazing and beautiful motorcar.
Ain't that the dream🎉
Ma786sai Dua your guidance absolutely wonderful and Crystal-clear. Just acquired a 1982 Spirit in India and bringing her, back to her former regal Crewe-built timeless elegance. Presently wanted to get the Cruise Control to work and your video a timely God Sent. Bless you
Aren’t these related to the big block Chev V8s ?
I am aware RR is not using Connolly leather anymore. I saw a new RR recently and noticed there was practically no smell of leather in it.
That's because Connoly Leather closed down almost 20 years ago. The tanning process has changed over the years, the smell is different but the leather is fundamentally the same.
Connolly leather was crap from the mid 1980's until their well deserved demise. The warranty costs because it had to be used to meet a false expectation cost a fortune in warranty claims. As for smell, when Autolux was introduced in 1985, many owners complained about the smell compares to their previous cars.

Usefull to me Thank You

I am wondering how did you fit the wheels on hub..quite difficult to find 154x5 alloy wheels for Shadow unless you did a hub conversion! Can you let me know please? By the way looks amazing
I went to that school
I also went to that school. I was in the second grade in when this was uploaded.
I was in 3rd at the time
Why why why
Thanks for this! Due to this video I was able to repair the Cruise Control on an '83 Spirit!
nice
The entire operation appears so crude it’s amazing that any “quality” ever resulted. Even the workers are sloppily attired. Today’s technology assisted methods; cutting the leather or milling the wood produces a more precise product.
eurouc I don’t think you understand what a rolls used to stand for
Whether you cut leather by hand, with knives under a press, or by computer contrlled cutting, you get the same effect. All three versions are still in use within the modern automotive industry. Veneered components use a mixture of hand work, machinery, and robots. This video concentrates on the hand work because to the observer, it looks more interesting, and emphasises the handwork, whereas the machines/robots are a bit unemotional. It is good PR. You can go and buy a cheap £100 wooden table, or a carefully crafted, beautifully styled one for £5000. They might perform the same function, but to those who apreciate such items, the pleasure is also in seeing the beauty, not just the function of the product.
The interior quality of 1990s RRs is impeccable and that of any modern car - and I really mean any - is utter rubbish in comparison.
You don't have a clue what you're talking about. Technology assisted cutting saves cost and time, it can't select the best parts to use in the way a human eye and hand stretching can. That's why you'll see a modern Rolls-Royce, Bentley of Aston Martin with obvious defects in high visual impact areas. As for the wood, it WAS milled in 1995. WTF does what the workers are wearing have anything to do with their skills?
Get those ugly ass rims off that rolls that shit look horrible
ok. 🎄🎃🎆🎃🎁🎁
yes. ok 🎄🎃🎃🙂🙂🙂
yes. ok. look. good. 🎃🎄
pardon me please if we decide to be little kind with animals & have a gentle world for mankind & nature- the first thing would begin by finding better options to leather- have given up using leather completely- this is only my personal view- for those who want it- i have nothing to say against or otherwise.
Cattle are never slaughtered for their hides, they are too valuable for that, they are slaughtered for their beef. When the meat has been cut and packaged for sale, the bones for bonemeal pet feed and fertiliser, intestines for pharmaceutical and food/beauty industries, and hides are sold to tanneries and turned into car/aircraft/furniture/shoe leather. It is better to use it than bury it in landfill or burn in an incinerator, don't you agree?
@@Hattonbank i see you have an opinion there- i only refrain to use any sort of animal bi-product application as far as possible in my living.
@@gentlerowdy Well it's not so much an opinion, but a fact that if there was no consumption of beef, there would be no leather, so if cattle are raised for beef and the hide is a by product, then it would be wasteful not to use it, although i do understand that some people do not eat meat nor use any animal product. If no one eats beef or drinks milk, there will be no cattle because they are not pets, they would disappear from the earth. Before World War 1 there were tens of millions of draught horses in Europe on the farms, pulling wagons, buses, cabs. When the internal combustion engine came along, they gradually disappeared, there are no draught horses anymore in use. The same would happen to cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, except for a few wild ones.
No supervisors or inspectors and no rush rush to complete things!!?? Damn that sounds good. I’d like to work at the Rolls Royce machine shop!!
Interesting, a deep skirted, cross bolted block. Does anyone know if the block & heads are aluminum are Iron? I was quite suprised to see that they hand lap the valves! They don't even give it a proper valve job? Wow.
I have a 1985 Silver Spur. The cruise works, except it will accelerate from the point you press the set switch another 15 MPH before it settles down to maintain cruise. to cruise at 70 you must engage at 55 MPH. Any ides? Thanks.
backward af
I have a 1990 Spur and the cruise pops and doe not work. after seeing your tech video i'll check it out. thanks Wolf
Lame! The title doesn't match the vid. I thought it was a scientific thing comparing speeds. This is just some cheesy home vid about a shuttle launch. Don't waste my time again!
fuck off steeeeevvvyyyy wonder boy
stfu lmao
best compliments..j hope that this high level craftsmanship still remains in the future...
Nice that looks nice I have another black shadow, I am going to have to build a new grill for it, oh well I don't like the original anyway
Makes me proud to be Irish!
love the way the "craftsman" slams the crank down on the mains lol
perfect song for this. it's so sad, though, too thinking about Dec. 8 I am glad we at least have tribute bands like The Fab Four to keep the music and memory alive.
Spend an extra 3500$, and get the oem newer chrome rims with run flat tires!
Thank you. This is probably the last of the Rolls Royces before BMW took over. Very interesting.
Houston this is a kick ass ride. Literally leaving this world.
Happy days
WWW.HENRYSBASEBALLCLUB.COM 781 891 0621 PUT ME ON THE LIST LOOKING FOR A 1964 WHITE ROOLS FOR WEDDINGS!!
It's almost 2014 - how has the car performed since you bought it in 2009 ? Am curious to know ! Thanks ~
Great car regardless of of what the jerks have to say. They don't have the money to buy one!
So you bought yourself a new car and surprised your family with your new car. Does that actually make you feel good? Give the car to your parents that would be a special video.
dig it!
link did you play the song of double time again
I have always dreamed of a Rolls Royce. I am glad you have you're dream car.
10 miles away doesn't look so far!
