Picked this up at a hunting fishing ship up north for $12.00. I was shocked that I would actually enjoy using it.

please remember what this country was founded on. The reason so many gave their lives and what everybody was striving for not what it's turned into today. Remember, freedom is not free. Let's hope that we can get back to those principles that's country was founded on.

Great jod . You have the test the equipment for sure hope your doing good
Yes, I am. And yes. We are planning kayaking bushcraft weekend on the Au Sable River August 1, 2, and 3. I have a few things I am going to do reviews on.
Thanks 👍
Very cool 😎
Cheers
Looks awesome I would have went but noooo lol
I hope all is good . Great to see you back on
First
Your char material doesn't look like it is charred to well, but it worked. I have used a half charred cloth before where after the black part ignited the uncharred half actually caught on fire giving flames with a little blowing. Using The striking down method to shower sparks on char material I like spread out multiple pieces to ensure a quick ignition like your Accidental ignition in your tin. Except I do it on purpose.🙂
Ilmfao... ✌️
They make these new things now. They are called work gloves... Ilmfao
Cool Video. I Had to Sub.
For better results the punk wood will need to be broken down more to quicken the ignition... so either feather stick the punk wood or scrape or saw it down into fine dust. So it can catch the sparks easier and allow more contact for the hot spark. Also thank you for showing the holy crap moment, it helps all of us from making the same mistakes when they are shared. Kudos to you my friend.
Before you make your sweedish torches at home with a flat blade hole cutter and drill extension ,very simple 17 minutes both holes ,please dont make anymore videos ,your not ready for the bush yet but keep at it 👍.
You first make a stop cut 1 1/2 " down not all the way ,the stop cuts will fall off when reached the stop cuts ,and pounding on the shaft is a no no ,i dont think youd survive out there if you had to ,your doing it all wrong ,just go down as far as the dept if the eye .your killing me ,no whacking .i wouldn't make anymore videos .
Bearing not baring
You might want to re do the video, so your subject is in frame……

The scotch eye is not for actually making dowels, nor handles. Its not sharp, thus it will be time and energy intensive to use it in such way. In order to use the scotch eye the way you tried showing here, you need to sharpen it, with a chisel profile, in order to peel or strip the grain away smoothly, evenly, with little force. The taper in the scotch eye is to lock a branch in place, adding mechanical strength. So, branches typically have a natural taper, larger closer to the trunk, thinner towards the end of the branch. Find a branch a suitable size and type (hardwood, not rotted etc) to make a handle, or carve one with your knife. Slide the thinner section of the branch through the larger end of the scotch eye, till it stops, wedge it in. Now you handle/branch wont simple slip out.
may I suggest a Smiths tinder maker mate, make mya dust or fine scrapings, that takes a spark like nobody's business.
happy fatwood Friday mate, good job
That was so cool. Thanks brother.
Happy fat wood Friday great job

With all the B.S. Going on in life, it's good to get a burn in

Happy fire it up friday
🔥 Happy FATWOOD Friday 🔥 flint and steel edition , have a great weekend , God bless !
Why is it giving off Black Smoke?
Because of the pine pitch in the fat wood. That's why you should never burn pine in your fire place
LOL FWF… love it!
Happy Fatwood Friday!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
🔥Happy FATWOOD Friday 🔥 have a great weekend , God bless !
So sorry to hear of the passing of your friend’s father, I know I am a bit behind but grief is a journey that doesn’t end quickly. My thoughts and prayers will continue for her and all those touched by this passing of life. Nice tribute Fire 🔥👍🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I've got one that I picked up for $15 and I love it. Hard to beat for the price. Thanks for sharing
🇨🇦🇨🇦Happy Sunday to you! Great BURN my friend! Visiting you from Oromocto, New Brunswick Canada! We are visiting our daughter and Military Family!
Good review , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Very KOOL! My friend. Great SHARE. Nice little stove. Thanks for SHARING!
Good review. I picked up something very similar several years ago but the case isn't as nice. I like how it takes up very little space in the backpack
Yes, that was always a major factor for me.
I did get a wind screen for nine that helps
I heard somewhere that there is a risk with using a wind screen with these canister stoves since it can over heat the canister
@@ExpeditionaryJonny yes I leave one side open and it has about two inches of air space around it have not had the tank get warm at all
@@ExpeditionaryJonny didn't know that. The first one I got for car camping coffee has hose keeps the tank separate but just got a titanium cheapy from Amazon that goes on top of the tank
Nice stove like the case keep it protected the one I have is just in a cheap baggie it came with.
@@SDMountainMan Yeah, I've looked at those styles and have been very tempted. I originally heard about the dangers when I was first looking at stoves and the boil times. I actually heard it from a very experienced hiker so I've stayed rather cautious. Sounds like Ron knows what he's doing to keep it on the safe side.
Very cool the one I have I got off Amazon and I have had it for three years no problems with anything .
Nice what brand is it?
Happy Fatwood Saturday brotha hope your weekend is good, Happy Trails Brotha 🇺🇸 🔥 🇺🇸
