As a foreigner(Korean) in my late 30s, I have two memories about Splash Mountain during my short stay in the States in 1997 and 2021. #1 My first visit to the DW was around 1997, while I stayed in Boulder CO for one year with my family. I was too little and scared to ride this. I remember just sitting in front of the fall watching my big sister riding it. #2 DW opened up again during the Pandemic in 2021. I visited, this time with my wife, during my MBA in New Haven CT. We enjoyed it so much, ended up riding it for about 5 times(less ppl due to on going pandemic). So sad that this attraction had met its end. I had hoped to visit this place someday once more, with my son we gave birth in the US right after my commencement. Farewell, Splash Mountain, US, and my good days.

Came here after riding the new version: the music is SO MUCH BETTER in this version. It’s not just nostalgia, this music tells a story, new version barely fits

Update... I miss this even more after reveal of replacement. Forever soaked in our hearts, Splash Mountain!!!

Rip one of the best rides ever

I'm getting a huge lump in my throat now while listening to this. Disney has had some enormous mistakes in the past, but I think this one for me is the absolute worst. Closed the greatest ride ever created in the world.

Legit nobody wanted the bayou adventure, so sad that this classic magic kingdom staple is gone forever.

I agree they should keep this ride because Walt Disney work so hard on this ride and keep for his memory too. Bring back the regarional splash mountain that Walt Disney made and his memory. Let's go Walt Disney let's go Walt Disney go Walt Disney

This is basically THE moment that cemented this series as something special to me. It became more than the Disney/Square Enix crossover I once merely saw it as. What hits me here though was *Donald's* reaction. He had been a jerk at the beginning to Sora, especially come Deep Jungle, and even after they make up, he does end up leaving Sroa after the Keyblade switches hands due to the King's orders. Not only does he then defect sides, seeing Sora as his friend, but yelling out Sora's name as Sora basically OFFS HIMSELF to free Kairi's heart, it was really devestating to see.

Hey SPLM fans. Im confused. I just watched song of the south for the first time and the Ride portrays the laughing place as a bad place. But in the movie, it's something people use to feel better whenever they're sad. Kinda contradicting now that I think about it.
