Ryan’s Explorations
Добавлен 10 авг 2014
Hello, I’m Ryan! This channel used to be my gaming channel. But then I lost interest in doing gaming videos so then I took down my channel for a long period of time. But now it’s a channel where I explore abandoned buildings and closing retailer and stuff like that. Other RUclipsrs who do this have inspired me to do this type of exploration. Hopefully you will join me in this adventure! (FYI: I can cuss a bit so I apologize in advance.)

The AMC Cherry Hill 24 is still open
Yeah, I figured as much afterwards. Just weird that the parking lot was empty, but then again it was early afternoon on a Monday, like 1PM. So that’s probably why aswell lol.
buca unfortunately filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy. some are closing, some are still open. (booka-dee-behppo)
This was my childhood Toys R Us 😭 This was the best place in this area
Hey, hope all is well. I used to work at this exact location for 6 years. The covid shutdown change everything for this location. I remember march 11th 2020 we had a store meeting about what our thoughts and suggestions would be to help cater to this location if we were to shutdown because of covid. March 13th 2020 we shutdown due to covid. That was my last time in this place.
The whole strip re-opened, this place was beyond outdated i mean just look at the lamps for the parking lot, those bulbous ass fixtures we’re definitely from the 70s. I used to go here a lot in the early 2000s because my dad loved k mart.
I also remember doing burnouts with my truck back in 2013 behind the k mart after closure
I didn’t know this one closed makes me sad😭😭
I like to go to one in Southampton. It’s the closest one to this location.
A lot of the waitstaff from the old doylestown location work at that one and the one in newtown
I made a video at this one as well
A few weeks ago
I was so sad that this one closed. It was the only one around besides the one in Phoenixville
That's sad It closed during Covid And Take care And Stay safe
I love the video. Just be careful going inside buildings, even if they’re abandoned. You can still be charged with breaking and entering if a cop sees you inside, even if you don’t forcefully enter.
Still a great video though! Glad that you showed us the inside, shows what a good creator you are, risking going to a jail for a video is definitely a dedication to your videos 😅😅👍
In a good way of course (just wanted to clarify that, since I love urban exploration videos)
Thanks! I know the risks but I appreciate you telling me anyways! I was aware of the risks I was taking, I was afraid of an alarm going off when I was in there, but thankfully there was none. I just wanted to get as much footage as I could and then get out of there. I also didn’t want to stay in there because after I heard those bats in the basement, I heard even more wild animal noises coming from the stairwell, and it sounded like it was coming closer. Didn’t want to get attacked or bitten by a wild animal so I decided to get out of there.
@@ryansexplorations3939 You’re welcome buddy
@@ryansexplorations3939 Definitely wouldn’t want you to get attacked by an animal either for sure
Oh I was just at that friendly’s a few weeks ago. It was busy too!
I also made a video at this ruby tuesday not too long ago
Simple fact, people don't go movies near as much so expect more closings. I went here in the late 70s/80s...
Worked there from mid-late 80's. It was hopping Friday/Saturday nights and average during the week. Like many places, prices are too expensive now for what you get so people don't go out as much. Hence closures...
Update: Cava has took over this spot.
Great video! I use to love eating at Friendly's when i was a kid. The one that I went to all the time was the one in Doylestown PA.
Can you do a video on the recently closed Rakki Ramen in Doylestown
I was so sad that this closed 😭😭. We just went to the one in Bensalem recently because it’s the only one still around.
The one waitress that worked at the Horsham location used to shop at Giant. I used to see her from time to time, usually at self checkout. She lived in Quakertown, so she stopped at the Doylestown Giant on her way home I’m guessing. She told me she didn’t like the ones in Quakertown as much
Great location. Don't understand why they would close.
I did not know this closed. Me and my dad were at this burger king a few days after I left giant (around halloween), and was surprised at how old fashioned it was on the inside. Kind of sad to see that it closed.
Great video!! Like always! I really enjoy your videos😊 keep up the amazing work.
Thank you, Ryan for sharing. We got to grab some pancakes at IHOP.
It used to be O' Grady's for years. Think O' Grady's closed during the Pandemic.
Old Ponderosa
This is a crazy location. Your right. It was actually going to be a boston market in 2021. But after some work and construction the Boston market never opened in that bk. The boards on top of the building is reminence of construction.
Awesome!❤😊
It was not a Boston market it is still used by Burger King in bucks county they use for storage as far as I know.
Ok thank you. I saw an article online saying it was going to be turned into one. I guess it never happened or it was a different Burger King
Great video! I really enjoyed it!!
Appreciate it! 🙂
I didn’t even know this closed! I have been wanting to eat there again (we used to go there years ago’ but I guess that won’t be happening anymore 😭😭😭
I would have loved to eat here too. I didn’t even know it was here. Granted it’s just about an hour away from where I live, so that’s probably why. I don’t usually go out too far unless I have to, when I’m going to an event, or when I record a video. If I knew about this place, I would have loved to eat here! Last time I had Dennys was in 2016 down in North Carolina.
@ryansexplorations3939 Understandable. I used to go to school out this way, so we’d make the trip here from time to time
First I have to say, I really love and enjoy your videos and channel! Keep up the great work! If you're going to do another abandoned restaurant video could you please check out the Perkins in Warminster PA. I know they closed down a few months ago. Thank you!
Hey! Appreciate you telling me about that place! Sadly I don’t think I’m going to upload the footage because when I went there, all the blinds were closed and there was only one window you could see through. Plus it was 90 degrees out so. I didn’t really get much footage of the place as much as I wanted to, so I will have to see if i upload it. There is also a lot of editing I would have to do on the video.
You work at Target now?
Did it not work out at giant?
@@DEEZNOTES-bl6ho Yes I work at Target now. I left Giant in the beginning to mid June. Things did not work out, my mental health was spiraling down and I was tired of the mess from the previous nights every time I opened the store. Doing Self Checkout almost everyday was killing me mentally and even sometimes physically. I didn’t want to leave, but nothing was changing, so I made the best decision for myself. Trust me, I didn’t want to make it more difficult for Giant, but I was at the point where I was having a mental breakdown at least once every week. My blood pressure was through the roof, and I would fall asleep mostly every day after work and I could not sleep at night.
@@ryansexplorations3939 I can understand that. When I worked at Giant, I used to work at 6am a lot too especially on your off days, and considering I’m not a morning person, it wasn’t a good experience lol
@@ryansexplorations3939 Well I’m hoping that your doing better at Target now. It’s definitely important to take care of yourself
Nice video Ryan
Years ago my parents & I ate lunch in the old Souderton Train Station. Is it still a cafe?
There was a place right next to the train station called “The Local”, but that closed down years ago. It’s now a restaurant/pub place called Northbound
@@ryansexplorations3939 Thanks, what’s in the Station, if anything? 🚂
The Burger King in coopersburg closed back in December of last year
Cool! Appreciate the info! I’ll try to get over there when I’m in that area again!
@@ryansexplorations3939 no problem also the home town diner in Souderton closed in may of this year. Just helping out with different places that have closed lol.
Hey Ryan, I live around this area and I just wanted to let you know that this ground round has been close for years now. That bertucies next to it close 1-2 years ago.
@B0ÄRDER_H0PPA hmm, that’s strange. I just get my information off of the websites. I’ll take your word for it considering that it was boarded up and weeds were growing, but I guess the website I saw it on was wrong lol.
Cool video. I'm happy to have come across it. I ate here in February of 2019. The food, the service and the atmosphere were excellent.
Thats an Amazon fresh and petco now
The whole shopping plaza seems so empty now. This regal closed, Applebee's closed, Marshall's moved, Starbucks closed, I feel like Kohls is holding it all up.
They just redid the plaza and added a Whole Foods and Barnes and Noble!
I saw this place sitting there everytime I went to the Barnes and noble. They did smash it down to build a Krispy kreme. Bed bath and beyond also closed and took the sign down in the same shopping center
My old burger king i miss it there, i was the gm at that location
I’ll bet you got inspired of doing abandoned places / From WallieB26 ( he lives in Millville PA / ( Pittsburg Area )
I never knew anybody who was unhappy with their job and was happy with their life. It's your sense of purpose. Now, some people can find it elsewhere. Some people can work a job and find it some place else.
I love you man!
Love u bro
Love you too bro! Appreciate you!
Hey man!! I worked here from December 2022 till they closed February 9th of 2023. The Subaru you saw outside was our manager’s so it wasn’t abandoned just yet. We had a nerf gun tournament the weekend after, fun time!! It’s officially abandoned now. I work in Warrington regal now but I’ll always miss the barn!!!
I just hope another chain will come in and reopen Barn Plaza. I would hate to see a theater like this get torn to the ground.
Cool video I’ll bet you got inspired by WallieB26, of doing these videos 😊
Actually yes he did! He did inspire me! As well as Dan Bell and Ace’s Adventures! After watching their videos, it has inspired me to do these types of videos, and I love it!
@@ryansexplorations3939 , that’s cool / He lives in Melville Pa. I’m from south Florida , North palm beach county area.
Can somebody make this a Boston Market?
They are turning it into a deli.
I actually went here a couple times before. The buildings logo was removed and the drive thru was smashed at one point, but recently the building was repainted and thats how it sits now
Former cb/ub resident here. As a parent to an adult son with (severe) autism all I can say is: What he (Ryan) said ⬆️ . It's a privilege to know my son and others I know with ASD, my life is better for it. Anyone who wants to make fun or just harass you for needing to get that off your mind is so not worth your time. Keep at it. Also, I love to have found this channel. It's the last area I lived before moving halfway across the country. 🙏🏽
N95 masks for places like this. Respirator would be safest but maybe make on-site commentary difficult. But you wouldn't believe the things growing in places like the furlong house. Pretty sure I knew this house too.
Sending love. Hope things feel better soon.
