May I ask, when filling in your trench near the end of the job, will this not create a Moat should you have heavy rainfall ? There is nowhere for the water to escape to. ? Enjoyed the video and have watched it many times.

I did something like this a month ago with plans from woodglut.

1:40 Something to consider if you are doing this is the rain will get trapped inside the plastic with the wood and it will stay submerged. Not sure how this will hold up over time.
