They rely waay too much on their gameplay loop. I mean I get that its decent, but it is not THAT good to carry you for the 100 hours of bloat

But that's just it tho, There is technicvally no male protagonist. What you are seeing is the animus using Odin over Eivor. Odin is the guy, Eivor is the woman. They have identical DNA(cuz she is the reincarnation) so the animus can't quite get which is which(or it does cus it switches properly when you let it)

I think he won't be parkouring, or atleast not as much as naoe. It was said that naoe will get around fast and I am assuming he will handle more like Eivor And if I am being honest I don't even think parkour in this game is gonna match Mirage. I just think naoe will be faster because of the grapple hook. but I guess we do have to wait for the gameplay

So then be honest and keep the male protagonist? What ubisoft has done with both Odyssey and Valhalla is a cheap way to just say that they are putting female leads in games. There can absolutely be a game made for a female assassin hailing from viking civilisations. This game is not that.

So in AC lore, Odin's reincarnation is a woman, Sif's reincarnation(halfdan) is a man. So far these are the two sages who have had this behaviour(that I know). This part is a spoiler for Mirage so skip it if you haven't played: Now with the additional context of mirage, We also saw that loki manifests as Nehal for Basim. So things aren't really as clear cut as it seemed at first. Again they were essentially experimenting with things and there is always a chance of things working out weirdly

At this point, I don't even think it matters. Quebec specializes in murdering any expectations AC fans may have and it seems once again, Quebec is striking true by taking what Valhalla set up so well, and throwing it out the window.
