I do what I want.
Santa Claus Is Coming For You (Metal Parody)
First of all, if you have kids, especially if they still believe in Santa... they probably, definitely shouldn't hear this.
Also, sorry Mom and Dad, I know you're not gonna like it. But it's FUNNY.
The original lyrics are already so accidentally threatening enough, I couldn't help myself but make it just a little more threatening.
It was BEGGING to be a parody.
Anyway, hope you all enjoyed that. It was just an idea that I cranked out last minute, while I had a minute.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Black Escaflowne - Rock Drum Cover

I did a little rock drum cover of the song "Black Escaflowne". The tempo changes make this one a difficult piece to follow along with, so this is the best of probably 50 takes, haha! Enjoy!

How To Send SSD5 Drums To Separate Tracks In Reaper for Mixing

Decided to do a little walkthrough to hopefully help out some people that may have difficulty with this. I tried to break it down as simply as possible, and I'll list timestamps below where each of the steps start, to hopefully make things even easier! I hope this helps someone out! Here's the Reaper Template, for your convenience! www.dropbox.com/sh/5iu20b6u68k0upl/AADClMtj72XwjX0oAHcsCDG7a?dl...
Pinkly Smooth Demo - Track 10 - Piano Midi

First of all, I don't own this music, this is just a project of passion, and love for the band, and I certainly do not expect any monetary gain from doing this. If the song is under copyright, and the video gets claimed, if ads are put on this video, I want the money to go to the estate of the writers and their families, but I will not try to monetize it for myself. I will make the midi file an...

Eddie Van Halen Tribute - Panama Full Cover

Eddie Van Halen was, and is a legend. I was heavily influenced by him as a musician, as I think a lot of us were. The fact that he is gone is a hard pill to swallow, but he will certainly live on through the incredible music that he left behind, and through the inspiration he has given us, and will give us for generations to come. Thank you, Eddie. I also want to extend a huge thank you to the ...

Being involved in 3 different contests, I needed to take a break and just do something different. So I did this. Tried to get somewhat of an 80's sound out of my kit while still being somewhat modern sounding. I know there's a little "push-pull" with the tempo, I couldn't use a click to keep time in this one, because I'm pretty sure it wasn't originally recorded that way back in the 80's... alt...

Digging both! Anyone prefer the UV2 to these?
Thanks man, proper nubie at reaper and this was doing my head in, youre a life saver!
Thanks heaps Jake, I've been doing this manually for years
Thank you ❤
Many thanks for this. very helpful!
Good job! Appreciate so much,,,,Thanks.
Love the piano in this song is go from sadnass to fast and a little cheerful i love it
This is great! After this I would like to learn how to do the same but with MIDI, to change the sound of each track independently.
Thank you very much! Is there a way of doing this with a cable view? Like dragging and plugging cables
My ageing brain got mega confused so I loaded your template and that demo played back fine - thanks! Unfortunately, I can't work out how to get my midi keyboard to play the notes/sounds 😭
@daviansometimes I'm not in front of my computer right now to have this exactly right, but you should be able to find it in the preferences menu, I believe, and select it as a midi controller, and then on the track, you set it as your input, instead of "input 1", and usually select "all channels". I know that's vague, but I hope it helps.
Kau harus memberi tanda kapan gitar akan mulai masuk ❤
Anyoe tried in Cakewalk? I can't find the routing option 😔
4 drains, one at each corner of the sonroof enclosure.
Isnt there a right click menuitem on the vst that does this automatically?
Yeah, I agree with some of the comments below. Clear over the coated.
the scene in that car is a clear win hahahaha All kiddin' aside, great cover!!
this eDrum kit sounds very cool as well...
cool
merry Christmas to you too! :D this is one very cool looking kit... Btw is that Bandit over there?
this kit sounds great
You’re a life saver!!!
I have put hella tape around mine where the holes were those were one the issues to them since they didn’t have the caps and still a little be coming in not as much anymore…
How are these Busses routed? are they summing up signals from respective instruments and then sending them to the "boss" track? For some reason my Tom bus when muted is still heard.
The busses should have no routing to or from them. Routing is only to the individual instrument tracks. I just prefer to divide the instrument tracks onto busses to use as a sort of "master fader" for it. Also, plugins placed on each buss will affect every track within that buss. For example, the snare top, bottom, and sample tracks will all go under a track labeled "Snare Buss", and you can use that "Snare Buss" as a fader and to process all 3 snare tracks simultaneously, rather than individually. I guess I sort of just threw the busses in there out of habit, because I route many things this way. You don't technically need them, but I find they add a lot of quality of life to mixing. Hah. But hopefully that helps!
@@TheJakePoole When I mute a tom buss (sub folder) I still hear the toms for some reason. Can't figure out how the signal passes in Reaper.
@synthesaurus When it is unmuted and the toms are playing, do you see the meter moving on the individual tom tracks? It's hard to tell what's going on without being able to be hands-on with it, unfortunately. If the meter is only moving on the track with the drum plugin on it, then you may not have routed the audio out of the drum plugin correctly.
@@TheJakePoole thank you for responding. I think the signal was coming through OH channel in SSD. Basically I wanted a subfolder summing Toms within the SSD assigned tracks. Reaper has too many options and I get easily lost , lol
sad you stopped posting.
late to comment, but The plugins im putting on my main bus (to effect the whole set) dont apply. i ahve to manualy input all 30 input/ouput in the IO setting in EACH plugin im using. any ideas?
Great video I just had another quick question so after I got it all set up and I've got my Edrums that I want to record to this layout would I have to arm each track I'm a little new to this by the way I'm using Reaper and the free version of SSD as you have shown in this video thanks for answering my previous question
I have a Roland TD17-KVX kit and all I have to do is set it as the midi input on the main track that has SSD5 on it. You may have to do some changes as far as what "midi note" your kit plays when you strike the pads, but that's pretty easy to do. I think I had to do it when I added a 4th tom pad to my kit, but it's been a while so I don't remember exactly what I did. I think it can be changed in either your kit module or SSD5.
@@TheJakePoole okay awesome I will give it a try I just have the Alesis Nitro mess kit thanks again for your fast reply I love your Channel keep up the awesome work have a good one
@@TheJakePooleyeah as mentioned got it working however I think I'm doing something wrong when I open up the project in the reaper I get this message. The following effects were in the project file and are not available Reaper will keep their configurations, but things may not sound as desired track 1 VST SSDsamples5 (Steven slate) 48 out. Still learning things on Raper but slowly getting there & PS I do like the Hugo kit on SSD I think they did a good job on that mix. Thanks again
@davepoulsen-bi9un If you're using my template, it's possible that it's because the version of SSD5, or location of your plugin data is different than what I had at the time. What happens if you open your SSD5 in a different project instead? Does it work there and just not in my template? If so, you'll probably have to replace the plug-in on the track with what you have, which means you'll probably have to do all the routing within SSD5 again, but all of the Reaper-side of the routing will already be done. If not, then most likely you either moved the ".dll" file of SSD5 to another folder, or deleted it somehow. I Googled "SSD5 DLL not detected in Reaper" and the first search result was a Reddit post that may be helpful to you.
@@TheJakePoole okay awesome I'll look into it thanks for your fast reply my friend
Great video that was awesome what I was looking for I'm fairly new at this so I don't have to set this all up again do you have a video on saving this as a envelope I would assume that would be very helpful to save this project especially if I want to come back in play some different play different drum beats Beats?
You can save it as a template, basically just save the project once you've set it up, and if you ever use it, just hit "save as" and change the name of the project to save the new thing without overwriting the template. If it helps, I do have an empty template of this project in the video available. There's a download link in the description. 😊
PS just thought I'd let you know running Reaper 7 thanks again for all your help awesome Channel I have learned a lot from you keep up the great work
@@TheJakePoole I got it working and by the way thanks for the template it was very helpful have a great day my friend
Gracias gracias gracias tenía el mismo problema
........good tutorial...nice work.....well done....
You are AMAZING!! Just saved me hundreds of dollars on something that I was pretty sure I could fix myself. THANK YOU!!
Great video. Thanks, and thanks for all the work you did.
Having same problem. U jb weld the top weld joints under trunk but clearly its coming in from somewhere else
Dude thank you
My 95 has been having this same issue forever and this was very helpful hopefully it fixes my leak!
❤thanks bro got look out for the brothers ay?
I’m hearing more sustain from the snare stand compared to a ported kick pedal
Didn’t think I’d find a video on a driver side both drivers and the floor board rifht behind get wet asf during rain
Bless up man ..thats nice .. I would love to have that set up .thanks .
I came here thinking I would like the coated better but it turns out I liked the clear ones better
Thank you.
2B just naturally sound fatter and fuller by virtue of their dimensions. I started using this size about a decade or so ago, now anything else feels TINY. If you mainly play rock, especially mid paced groove stuff, the thicker the stick the better. In my opinion.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you very much for this video. I tell you right now it was tuff for me especially if you have big hands and a big body to get in a tight spot to put drain hose together. 😂
Thank you😃🤝
Thank you. Yeah, the actual tutorial from SSD themselves is pretty worthless. So thank you for doing the goddamn thing, man!! >M<
You're very welcome. Glad I could help!
Easy to get full "gushy splatty' toms with longer, heavier sticks. Also I've found the spherical tip shapes, like an SD1, sound better on the heads but lose a certain something in the cymbals. 7A sticks with acorn tips sound great on cymbals but don't move the skins enough for rock drum tuning unless you REALLY pay attention to your technique. Lately I've found that 5Bs sound great and even SD1s are sounding and feeling better to me when I'm sweeping the kit. Still love my 8Ds, 7As and 5As for tunes that require more cymbal articulation.
Definitely a common problem this has been happening to my 99 civic for some years now finally found the answer. Thanks man
❤
Dude u just saved me... now im gonna go look at my trunk and see if those holes are exposed! Im gonna do what u used sound like a budget and simple deal instead of looking for rubber plugs
