There will be trans people that find appreciation with association to a piece of media regardless of what that media is. Yeah, one could argue its roots are in a different thing not representative of (a group of people, in this instance trans people) but one cannot take away the fact that a piece of arts worth is determined by the viewer, or consumer. If people wish to associate elden ring with trans people, and trans people vibe with that, cool! If people wish to associate elden ring with trans people and you haven’t heard anything from a trans person about it, also cool! You’re doing a lot by generally assuming how people would feel due to the fact that you (allegedly) know what the media is actually based on, and while it’s epic that you want to share that media, phrasing it in a way that both generalized a group of people while also being dismissive to other points of views isn’t going to do much but bait people into arguing with you just because of the tone your comment has Really hopes this helps, especially since your comment is phrased as if you don’t know any trans person (speaking on behalf of them rather than saying specifically that you know a trans person who is insulted) but are simultaneously speaking for all of them

Bro theirs two protagonists one is black but is a real person and another one is a Japanese woman and don’t say is not accurate to the our past history cause is a video game my guy and we are talking about assassins creed a lot of things in that game most likely won’t be realistic.

@@alexbytutorial It’s not about the fact they used a black man to represent feudal Japan. I find it more insulting that they used an actual historical figure instead of a random assassin that has a unique back story. Yes they used a female fictional character as the other protagonist. Yasuke could have been a badass historical figure that the player character could interact with. My hope is that they come up with a game based on Carthage during the time of Hannibal. I would love to see two fictional protagonists that are African warriors turned assassins. For one, that would make more sense. Two, they could blend in better with the surrounding population. Having a 6ft Black guy in Japan being an assassin is kinda odd. However, my guess is that it may not play like that.

My guy I think you need to look up what racism means. Plus there's a Japanese character you play as right there. Can you not see her cause she's a ninja? Plus The Japanese love Yasuke and he's been in their media for years. Hope you're this concerned when the next samurai game comes out and you play as a random white guy.

play ghost of tsushima , the past 3-4 AC games were ass. the main character’s a kunoichi too, which would make more sense than a samurai anyway. hey she’s not black either, should make the experience much more bearable for you though you probably don’t enjoy women either. and oh yeah the preorder is $120, and ubisoft was just saying gamers should get used to not owning their games? a lot more to be upset about than a black person in your fantasy land

Okay but we’re playing a game about Japanese culture with a story deriving around Japan, so they choose the one character in Japanese history that has almost no correlation to Japanese culture other than that he was a RETAINER (not a samurai) for Oda Nobunaga before he died

Normally I wouldnt care but the fact his inclusion was NOT organic and more of the same virtue signaling bastardization that has infected all forms of media as of late, is what makes me have issue with the game.
