So like I said in your Danger by Design walkthrough, The Creature of Kapu Cave is my least favorite game. I don't like it because its plot doesn't make it feel like a true mystery, and due to the strong lack of feeling like a true mystery. I just find the game dull and unexciting. Even when you get to the end, you don't really comprehend all that has happened right away or know how to tie all events together. I can't even really get much joy out of the puzzles, including fishing, which is unlike how much I love fishing in CLK. 😕 So I don't like CRE, but I still think you did great on this walkthrough of it. 👍🏻

  • @HAFanForever
    @HAFanForever 8 дней назад

Okay, I have to admit, I do not like Danger by Design at all. It's one of my very least favorite games followed just behind The Creature of Kapu Cave. I don't enjoy either game because their plots don't make them feel like true mysteries like almost all of the previous games do. I also dislike DAN because of many of the puzzles, ESPECIALLY developing the photos with all of those deadly chemicals!!! 😤That is about the only puzzle I could never do successfully because of how many second chances it takes me, so whenever I do play, I just do the cheat of flushing the toilet ten times to get the Easter egg, which also results in the photos being developed! 😵 Defeating Minette with Ichi-Do is still hard for me sometimes because you need to know enough of those moves to block Minette and keep Nancy from getting hit and having her meter drop faster, and I have in no way mastered those moves. Other games are far easier with defeating the culprit at the end or doing the last puzzle before the end, so the ending is another reason why I'm not fond of DAN. So even though I don't like DAN, I think you did a great job on this walkthrough of it. 👍🏻

Ah, now you have uploaded the soundtrack to my most FAVORITE game of all!!! 😍🥰❤ My very favorite track in Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake is "Moon" because it's so peaceful and lovely. "Nostalgia" and "Day" follow closely because they are also very peaceful and calm. I LOVE listening to "Malone" when I explore the house and even UNDER the house, including the tunnel leading from the cemetery and into the speakeasy, along with "Tunnel" when I explore those extra hidden passages that lead to finding the well where the gold is hidden! 😁😁😁 Listening to it puts me in the mood for exploration! 😄😄😄 "Forest" and "Night" have somewhat haunting melodies, but I still love them. "Ghosts" is scarier, though, since it plays when the dogs appear, and even "Tunnel" has a pretty sinister melody. However, "Spooky" sounds most haunting of all! 😨 And of course, "Danger" best fits during the moments where Nancy finds herself in danger! 😰

Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon is ANOTHER one of my top favorite games in the series! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 One of the reasons because, yes, it is yet ANOTHER history mystery that involves finding hidden treasure or something old with a lot of monetary value. So that means I consider the letter Jake received from Abraham Lincoln the day the latter was assassinated a piece of valuable treasure. TRN also has a lot of great puzzles, which are easier, more fun, and far less time-consuming than most of the puzzles in CUR and a few of those in CLK. Have you ever noticed the hidden 13's on the cover art of TRN? A few are very easy to find, but others are more obscure. I was able to find nine in total, but I don't know how many more there are to be found. There are a few other references to the number 13 within the game itself, as a nod to its place as the 13th game in the series. The best example is the #13 being on one of the race horses in the museum. 😉 And after only talking to them on the phone in past several games, it was so exciting to see the Hardy Boys FINALLY make a physical appearance and team up with Nancy in this game! 😁 I thought the same when Bess and George finally make a physical appearance in Ransom of the Seven Ships. 😉

I remember being perplexed about Secret of the Old Clock being set in 1930, which is the year Nancy Drew was created, since it's the only one to take place in that time period while the rest of the series is sent in the present day, despite Nancy never aging over 18. But I guess HeR Interactive wanted to do something special for the 75th anniversary in 2005, both by making a game using the title of the first Nancy Drew book and setting it in the year of the creation of the character. But despite the change in time period, I LOVE CLK! ❤❤❤ I love the soundtrack, the plot, and the majority of the puzzles, including Richard's word game, fishing at the lake, adjusting the mirrors in the shed, and ESPECIALLY playing mini golf! 😄 In fact, I love to fish and golf in real life, so it's why I love doing both of them in this game. And as for the secret passageway under the seat in the inn that leads to Josiah's old house? I was SO excited when I first discovered it, especially because I did so without using any hints to find it! When I have played these games for the first time, I would always get excited when I discover hidden passageways and rooms in the games, and the one in CLK was definitely no exception for me! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I also remember being shocked by the end of the game, since the culprit turned out to be not who she said she was, but rather an impostor named Marion Aborn (who was mentioned in a letter from the real Jane to Gloria, which is in the drawer below Emily's seat) who was posing as Jane just to force Emily to sell the inn so they would split the profits (which a guardian could do until the ward turns 18, like Carson said) as well as steal the jewelry and anything else of value she could find just to get some fast money. Such a greedy, immoral woman!!! 😡😡😡 Still, this revelation was a great twist for the game's storyline, and I really wish HeR would do this kind of twist with another villain in a future game.

  • @HAFanForever

I remember one thing that made me excited about Curse of Blackmoor Manor when it first came out is that it is the first game in the series to have Nancy working on a case outside of the United States. I thought it was a really cool change, but I didn't think it would happen with many succeeding games afterwards. It was also the first game to be MUCH more challenging with most of its puzzles than any of the preceding games, even more than SHA. HeR really went out of its way to make excellently challenging puzzles in the game, especially all those that lead to finding the meteorite, and the tunnel of secret passageways to get down beneath the manor and into the forge. With all that in mind, you could call Blackmoor Manor a big fun house like Nancy says at one point. 😁 Just like why I like DOG, TRT, MHM, TRN, and SSH, I like CUR because it's a history mystery that involves finding hidden treasure/valuables (yes, I count the scribes notes in SSH as a kind of treasure because it's worth lots of money). CUR definitely teaches hundreds of years of history, even though it's just about the Penvellyn family. I also REALLY love games in the series that have hidden passageways, and CUR gets my vote as the game with the best secret passageways!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 CUR is one of five games selected as the scariest by HeR, but the truth is, it and MID don't scare me nearly as much MHM, GTH, and ESPECIALLY SAW!!! 😨😨😨

The Secret of Shadow Ranch isn't one of my favorite games, but it's another good history mystery that involves finding hidden treasure, with most of my favorite games in the series being that kind of mystery. I particularly love how Dirk had his treasure for Frances be gold hearts rather than the usually expected gold coins or bars, because having the gold shaped like hearts obviously shows how much he loved her, and maybe even thought she had a true heart of gold, which makes the gold shaped like hearts even more befitting. ❤❤❤ I have always been curious, though, that if Dirk wasn't executed, would Frances have managed to find the treasure using all of his clues? I wonder that especially because Dave says she was very smart and loved puzzles, so perhaps she would enjoy interpreting all of them. Do you think they might have even run away together and eloped as well? I think it's definitely possible. SHA was the first game in which I really began to struggle with the puzzles and needed more time than usual to comprehend and finish them. Examples include picking all the correct ripe vegetables each of the three times Shorty makes Nancy pick them, baking Tex's cake since you have to guess the time and temperature at which to bake it, and ESPECIALLY the barrel racing because it took me so long to figure out how close Bob needed to be to the barrels in order to get under ten seconds!!! 🤬🤬🤬 Of course, now I have memorized all these puzzles and am much more adept at them than I was when I began playing, but SHA is still not one of my favorite games.

Ah, ANOTHER great soundtrack to ANOTHER one of my most favorite games!!! 😍🥰❤ My very favorite track in Secret of the Scarlet Hand is "Exotic" because of its upbeat, optimistic melody. I just love hearing it whenever I explore the Beech Hill Museum! 😁 I love listening to the tracks that have to do with their spots whenever I explore them: "Monolith" in the garden, "Temple" in the temple, "Lab" in the lab, and "Town" whenever I travel to different locations outside the museum. They're all just very calming pieces of music! 😄 "Dark" has a somewhat dark melody, so that name was chosen well. I love listening to the tracks titled "Discovery" in both TRT and FIN when I find an item that will become important later, so I love to listen to "Discovery A" whenever I find a jade carving in this game. 😉

Even though I love ice cream, I'm not that fond of ice cream sundaes because I don't care to have anything other than hot fudge or chocolate syrup on it. In other words, I don't like whipped cream, nuts, or cherries. I do like bananas, but I don't care to have them mixed with my ice cream. But anyway, your makeshift Fundae sundae looks pretty good. 😋 I hope you enjoyed it! 😁

And yet another beautiful Nancy Drew game soundtrack that is giving me all the nostalgic vibes it can give me! 😁😄🥰❤ I've always loved The Final Scene and the music was always one of my favorite parts of it. My favorite tracks are "Magic", which I love hearing during Nancy's letter to Bess at the very end, "Sleuth", which I love to hear as the credits roll, and "Thompson", "Auditorium", "Dressing", and "Lobby", all of which I love listening to as I wander through the Royal Palladium. But I also love hearing "Discovery" when you collect the small gear from that Jazz mini game and get the prize after winning the Amazing Monty game, and both "Danger" tracks when you have to get past the electrified gate, and then at the end when the countdown to the demolition has begun and you have to save Maya and yourself before it's too late! 😰😵😵‍💫

Awesome video! 😁😄 In all the years I have played Secret of the Old Clock, I have never stopped at every single location in Titusville, even when I was delivering telegrams because I stop at a certain point, so it was very cool to see what happens when Nancy visits them all, even if you don't have telegrams for them. 😉 I have never visited the Deer Mountain Resort, Krolmeister Nails, or Grange Hall. In fact, did you notice when Nancy visited the latter, she said more than what appeared on the screen? Thanks for sharing! 😊

Despite not being one of my most favorite Nancy Drew games, I still have so many nostalgic feelings for Secrets Can Kill with it being the very first Nancy Drew game and having been released in 1998! 😵😵‍💫 I can't believe it has been 26 years since it was released, and only two years ago did I get the chance to play it again after more than a decade of not doing so, all thanks to a tutorial video made by Nancy Drew Walkthroughs, and I made my own full walkthrough of it. 😄 From the opening music of "Excite" to the "Mystery Light", "Mystery Heavy", and "Fear Danger" in Paseo del Mar High School to the "50's Diner" in Maxine's to "Aunt Eloise's House" to the "Credits Rap", the soundtrack of SCK is unforgettable!!! 😁😁😁

Ah, yet another beautiful Nancy Drew game soundtrack that is giving me all these nostalgic feelings! ❤ My most favorite tracks in Stay Tuned for Danger are almost all those with the word "Night" in them. I love "Mattie's House Night" far more than "Mattie's House Day" because it has a somewhat ominous aura to it, which feels fitting to hear by the time I have snuck into the studio at night and discovered more, such as the tape from the editing room that consists of Dwayne sneaking around both in and out of his Owen Spayder disguise. "Hall Night" also carries a sense of foreboding, probably because Nancy is doing something illegal by breaking into the studio at night using the talent entrance, along with sneaking into Lillian's office and the set. And while it's titled because it plays while you sneak into his office, I especially LOVE listening to "Dwayne Night" during the credits! 😁 My last favorite track in STFD is "End", which is played both while the bomb is in Rick's dressing room and at the near end of the game, when Dwayne has trapped Nancy and Lillian. I've just always been curious why it has this name instead of "Danger" because it plays during the most dangerous moments in the game. 🤔

I LOVE Danger on Deception Island and just about everything in it!!! ❤❤❤ The soundtrack, the puzzles, and the storyline, but the main reason I love it is because it involves the ocean and sea creatures. I've always been interested in the ocean and the animals that live in it, including whales, dolphins, and orcas, the latter of which happens to be one of my most FAVORITE animals! 🥰 In fact, Free Willy is one of my favorite films because I love orcas so much and it was an amazing sight for me as a child to see a real live orca on screen and be a major character in a film, despite it being an animal rather than a human. Those are the reasons why I was so excited when I first played DDI, because I was intrigued that an orca was a key part of the game's story. But I was most in awe when Nancy finally has an up close and personal encounter with her!!! 😍😍😍 In fact, DDI is an educational game by having Andy's museum feature all those facts about the different kinds of cetaceans, along with teaching us about the myth of Cadborosaurus! 😄 Yep, that's right! 😁 Caddy is indeed a sea serpent that is part of the folklore of regions of the Pacific Coast and named after Cadboro Bay in British Columbia. So HeR Interactive actually did their homework, and did it well, about this sea monster to make it part of the game's storyline. 😉

The Haunted Carousel isn't one of my very favorite games, but I still like it because I enjoy many of the earliest games over later ones in the series. In fact, as a fun-loving person who absolutely loves amusement parks and arcades, the setting in CAR definitely makes it a fun game for me to play. 😁😄👍🏻 Of course, I know they have the park be shut down for obvious reasons, but I've always thought it would be a little more fun if another ride was open or there was at least one other game to play in the arcade. Roller coasters are more of my thing, not carousels, because I like rides with more complexity and twists and turns. And despite the word "haunted" in its title, CAR never scared me, nor do I think it's a scary game in any way. When I first played it, I remember being totally surprised with its complete lack of scares and hauntings, considering that its teaser featured at the end of Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake made it sound much scarier and more sinister. But I guess that just goes to show how trailers can sometimes be misleading. CAR is definitely one of the lighter games in the series, making it a stark contrast to one like Shadow at the Water's Edge, which is undoubtedly the scariest Nancy Drew game in the whole series! 😨😰😱

My most favorite Nancy Drew game in the whole series!!! 😁🥰❤ I've always loved Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake is my favorite game for several reasons, but for two strongest reasons in particular: one, I absolutely love dogs and have since childhood, so having dogs be a key part of the plot of a Nancy Drew game was very fun for me; and two, it takes place in Pennsylvania, my home state. And along with MHM, TRT, and SSH, I also really love DOG because it's ANOTHER history mystery that involves finding treasure, which is the motivation of the culprit's crime. Additionally, I love nature and the outdoors, and I love to explore ecosystems, so I always enjoyed exploring the forest behind Malone's house. Heck, I have the basic paths that Nancy needs to take to the cemetery and find all the birds all memorized by now that I don't even need to use the map whenever I play. Furthermore, one of my favorite outdoor activities is birdwatching, so it's always fun for me to find and photograph the birds. I enjoy exploring the forest even more when I collect the Easter egg and uncover the five hidden paths. 😁 DOG was also one of the easiest games for me when it came to figuring out the culprit because it has only three suspects, while the average number of suspects by that point had become four. I guessed it was Emily before it was over, and towards the end of the game, I found a vital clue that confirmed my suspicions that it was her. 😉

Another one of my favorite Nancy Drew games! 😁😁😁 Just like MHM and TRT, I love Secret of the Scarlet Hand because it's a history mystery that involves finding treasure. Now the scribe's notes you find at the tail end of the game isn't a typical treasure, but I consider it treasure because of the monetary value it has on the black market, which is obviously the reason why Taylor was after it in the first place. I think Secret of the Scarlet Hand is one of the few Nancy Drew games that can be educational because I learned quite a bit about the Maya from it. Heck, it even taught me the term "conquistador", and that came in handy during my 10th grade history class. One day, we were having a discussion about them and the teacher asked if we knew what the term meant, and I answered with the correct response because of this game! 😮😯😲 I even shocked some of my classmates with my answer because they knew I didn't even study Spanish! 😵😵😵 How cool is that? 😁😁😁 And this is the game that introduced us to the famous Koko Kringle bar! 😁😄😋🍫 Who would have ever guessed that it would become a staple object in Nancy's world and reappear in many succeeding games??? 😄😆🤣

I LOVE The Final Scene! ❤❤❤ It's not in my top ten favorite games, but it is still one of the older games that I very much love because it was one of the firsts that I played, just like with TRT and MHM. And like those two games, I love almost everything about FIN: the soundtrack, the puzzles, and ESPECIALLY the secret rooms and passageways!!! 😁😁😁 I was excited to discover the basement after lifting that crate off the door in the floor (yes, for that reason, I consider the basement a secret passage in its own right), then the magician's room, and finally, the space above the projection room once the countdown of the final minutes before the demolition began! 😄😄😄 I remember being surprised by two things in FIN when I first played it: first, that you had to call the police as part of the game, and that's because you don't for the previous games. Heck, even in SCK, Nancy is investigating Jake's murder as well as the police, but they're only mentioned, never shown! And second, I was surprised that all of the required phone calls, with the police, County Administration, Eustacia, and the Library of Congress, were automatically done without Nancy making selections of conversations like all other times. And yet, it was no surprise to me that the police turned out to be no help to Nancy at all. Sherman Trout was a much greater helping hand to Nancy's investigation than that incompetent bonehead Sergeant Mac Ramsey! 😠😡 When the game was over, I just wished there could have been a moment of Nancy rubbing it in Ramsey's face that she was right and he was wrong about Maya being kept in the theater after all! Nancy's not arrogant to think she's smarter than the police like some criminals think about themselves, but she was definitely smarter than them in this case! 😆🤣 Did you know that if you call the Library of Congress before Eustacia gives it to you, the dialogue box gives a listing of the game's soundtrack? You can listen to them if you press the phone buttons that contain the numbers listed next to the tracks' names. Such a fun extra! 😁

Nice discussion video, Hannah! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I confess, though: I don't count these "Easter eggs" in MHM, TRT, and FIN as true Easter eggs like most fans do because it just feels like they don't fit with the ones that come later since those are LITERAL Easter eggs. But I'm not saying everyone is wrong; they can call them Easter eggs if they want, and I enjoyed listening to you talk about them. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I can't wait to hear your discussions about the other Easter eggs in this series!!! 😁😁😁

While Stay Tuned for Danger isn't one of my favorite games, I still enjoy it like I do Secrets Can Kill because I have so much nostalgia invested in them since I played them a lot as I grew up. I had noticed that these were the only games that had a LOT of those amazing hidden codes, clues, and messages that were more or less narrative of the story arcs, including subtle directions on how to solve the cases and the names of the culprits. Heck, even though these two games don't involve finding treasure like the next two games do, uncovering these codes felt like finding hidden treasure and gems all the same!!! 😁😁😁 Also, did you ever notice that SCK and STFD are the only games that have junior, senior, and master detective levels, but no tutorials? After STFD, all succeeding games would have only junior and senior detective levels (later amateur and master sleuth, respectively), and tutorials were offered from Message in a Haunted Mansion to Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon. Then the tutorials were replaced with the "How to Be a Detective" book featured from Danger by Design to Alibi in Ashes.

Calling all these phone numbers when I play Secrets Can Kill serve no purpose to solving the game, but it's still a fun extra I love to do. ❤ In fact, I have my own video of calling them, too. 😉

I remember playing the Remasteted the first time and spinning around the room Connie's in. It was so sad to see the payphone gone.

Secrets Can Kill isn't my favorite Nancy Drew game, but as the very first game in the series, there's definitely a lot of nostalgia invested in it by many fans, including me. 😁😄😉 When I would play it, I especially loved spotting all the hidden clues, codes, and messages that foreshadow important moments in the future, and point towards what the player needs to do next to solve the mystery. And of course, it has a great soundtrack, too. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I especially love the music played in the diner and library, the latter of which has a very mysterious, if not somewhat spooky, aura. Do you know about the unused rap from this game? The melody of it is still used during the credits, but the lyrics are not sung.
