Russia is op not because of tanks, only because they have best AA, that even barely matched by others, and kh-38 + vikhr, it is not about tanks at all.

Every nation has their ups and downs for their tanks. - France and Japan are prime examples of glass cannons with outstanding firepower, mobility, and optics (Japan mainly on optics), but lackluster survivability and armor. Hyper-aggression paired with good positioning turns a good player in these tanks into a paralysis demon. - Germany and Sweden get the best armor and shell performance (Outside the Obj. 292) in the game with little sacrifice to mobility or ergonomics. Downside would be that they get out-reloaded by a fair few things nowadays and lack the extra snappy hull handling you find on tanks like Abrams and Leclerc. Still the most solid tanks in the game though - USA is a jack of all trades with fantastic firepower, mobility, handling, respectable optics, and respectable turret armor (With a large turret bustle allowing for high ammo loads). But it suffers from larger weak spots and a lack of spall liners (Still pretty aight survivability if you're still mobile after a hit). USA gets too much hate cause the average player isn't able to bring the most out of the tank. But god forbid you come up against an Abrams team that knows what they're doing. - Russia to me is the epitome of sinking all your points into a couple categories. They have great frontal armor and optics at TT, but that's about all the pluses they have over anyone. Mobility is average to worse (God that reverse gear on T-72/90 gets you killed allot. T-80 is better but not great), and survivability is well... count how many times a center-mass penetration doesn't kill them. Beginner friendly vehicles due to the simplistic playstyle, but very unforgiving in dynamic situations with less potential. - Britain and Israel fall into a similar category of not being the fastest, or the best protected, but have other nice stuff to at least bring them to a place where they can stand and swing. Britain has spall liners all over their turrets with good armor and first-stage reload rate (Even if the magazine is small. Save for the CH3). Merkava 4 is great defensively since it has a quick reload, reverse speed, and APS (CH2 Black Knight also falls into this category). If anyone in GRB has bias right now it's Sweden. But don't let Russian Bias claimers hear that...

As a player who plays 8 nations here's thing. Sweden is the best top tier ground, Russia is best overall cas+ground. Also want to add that Usa has crazy cas as well but Us players makes us suffer other than that their nation is also good.

Never thought that sweden of all nations would end up more OP than russia, in terms of ground vehicles anyways. I'd say overall (so ground vehicles + CAS) russia is still the #1, if not now then it certainly will be after the Su-34 arrives. 6 Kh-38s on a modified Su-27 airframe with similar characteristics, yikes.

Sweden tank wise excluding CAS, Helis, AA units, Etc has always been the major problem. Russia when it comes to CAS, Helis, SPAA, and such? They’ve been the big balancing issue. Overall they are both unhealthy for balance for different reasons. Overall so many people focus on complaining about Russian MBTs which really are mediocre outside of the standard BS damage models. In a tank only mode. Russia wouldn’t be OP. Sweden, and other Leopard reliant nations would be.
