yeah my mate Leigh picked it all up as well on day 1 and we got to have our first game later that day (ironically with a lending copy from the board game library)

My mate and I hired out the game at the Library (despite me owning it and him buying the full thing there) and we got slaughtered it was so much fun haha

It was a mini game in the main game. Fun for PC, not pratical for most game nights or tournaments

@@rathstar the original hasn't been sold since long before this was released you'll struggle I feel. These however are sold for a budget solution and for that they work well. But a neoprene mat would be awesome if you can justify the cost.

@@GettingTabled Yeah, the original was impossible to find being OOP so long. As you said this is a great budget option, so I went ahead and bought a set.

@@ghostparty2062 They are small and delicate but that can be part of their charm. I'm a big believer in buying what you think looks nicest. There's also the brand new Shades boxes you may not have seen yet. I haven't filled my unboxing for them yet

@@GettingTabled From what I have just looked up, lol, Hoopoe has confirmed Scions will get a starter but it is "at some point in the future" so it was not on their time line presented at Gen Con. So future you will have new bike and loads of extra money I am sure. :)

Hey mate Brother Bear here. Thanks for the question. Ok so, Using the event hasty bear activates your models unique Bear ability Eg hasty bear Hasty bear turns Reo durable. Meaning he can only take 1 damage per attack. He gains this once he has 4 wound markers on his card. You can activate hasty bear after seeing your opponants combat outcome however it Must be used before the damage roll outcome. If you have taken 6 wounds out of your 7 you already gain the bear affect on your model. Hasty bear doesnt add wounds allows you to Activate the ability early

@@scotteverroad4545 dropzone Commander is 10mm where as Alpha strike is 6mm. They'd likely look a little big almost twice the size though given the price I think you could work around it for a cheap solution. Depends on how much of a stickler you are for terrain size

I've really been enjoying painting them honestly, yet to get a game in but enjoying it none the less

There are some you can find on the black site Studios RUclips channel. I did one on the previous edition but it was much earlier in the journey and wasn't a very good video. I'd definitely like to try my hand at it again.

I would start with the core sets I mean expansions are awesome but start with the core set first expand later. Depending on where your located you may have better options than ordering directly. Personally I used a mail forwarder to save myself a bit of money because USA to AUS postage is expensive

I presume that the Quar issue was what we mentioned in the following episode about it actually being a new IP entirely and not what I was trying to guess it must have been at the time. I don't recall someone correcting us on the city states however? More than happy to be corrected on errors deliberate or otherwise

Scales are the same so yes. The ruined version might work better aesthetically though

That's a brilliant idea, a simple reskin or hell you could use the create section to create a custom sam & dean. Definitely start with the basic scenarios before you do that stuff though

There's "recommended layouts" but no there's no board as such like you'd find with a board game. If you've played. Wargame in the past then you'd likely own enough to put a table together but otherwise there is terrain around you can get easy enough. The game is played in a 3foot by 3foot table.. Something else you could do though is use things like books etc to represent terrain on the table.

There are many pre existing maps available online, you can often use those to suit your needs.

Everything is available on their website. blacksitestudio.com We have no affiliation I brought this with my own money because I'm a fan. Depending on where you live you MAY have local options (I don't)

@@tonydiazist my pleasure. In theory if you wanted you could kinda use whatever minis you wanted but I'd still recommend grabbing the heroes and killer core sets

There's also been a Ninja's themed box released since this was recorded. Still very elite in its design. Definitely a faction you'd need to learn over time.
