Not quite. RS 1, with a Macintosh & Seymour 539, 6 cyl turbo. 1000hp. First RS 1 built 1939, last in 1959. RS 2 had a 12 cyl 244 good for 1500hp, RS 3 a 12 cyl 251 good for 1600hp. RS 1 hoods are boxy, while RS 2 and 3 are more rounded.

I always carry a couple of water jugs to use for that. My carrying strap doubles as an anchor connection to them.

Yea great catch with a horn show by this maple leaf led by 129 Great K5LA It could be are Amtraker engineer friend at the helm Uspecailey if this was when he was on driving that train after getting on at the crew swap at Syracuse because I now that’s were he got on after he got of 63 with one of are favorite heritage units I saw him on 63 yesterday

I caught the Boston section of this very train arriving Pittsfield, MA later that day. It came in so hot into the station I didn't even catch it on camera. I did notice the relatively oddball consist that day of the deadhead Horizon coach up front and an Amfleet I coach subbing for an Amfleet II coach. It's cool seeing the Lake Shore in its "Full-sized form" here in your video, over here in Mass we only see the shorty Boston section. Thanks for posting!
