I honestly like the combat in this game its simple flashy and fun although it can get a bit hectic with a lot of enemies on screen sometimes.

Square kinda screwed over Tabata the game was in development hell and basically made him clean up crew and then continued to screw him

I keep returning to this game and this video. yeah the game is also on ps5, but the ps4 version look got something for me

The graphics of this game are still quite impressive even by today's standards.

I never finished this game, but I remember I approached a giant beast at night and felt startled.

I loved every second of this game and the era it was relevant in. The rebranding from Versus XIII, the slow updates with the games development, the speculation and predictions, and the demos. Man, I spent HOURS on the Episode Duscae demo released with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD on PS4. The demo was the motivating factor to purchase the game, to be honest. Then the final official release of the game had me and one of my best friends in that time stoked. It was all we were playing. We'd go over to each others houses and watch each other play. The DLC episodes were great fun too. However, the base game on it's own will go down as one of my favorite moments in time in gaming.

I thought the video title was "Nightmare King Grimm - First VS Last Attempt" and was extremally confused when you got 2 parries on his uppercut and it couldn't have been more than 5 attempts due to the skill you already had and the fact that the entire moveset of NKG is memoizable. But fantastic job you are better than me

I did NOT expect Grubberfly Elegy to be THIS good against Sly, well done!

Apologies for not showing the charms in the final fight! The charms I used are: - Unbreakable / Breakable Strength - Quick Slash - Grubberfly's Elegy - Mark of Pride *Mark of Pride in this fight is pretty useless since it only increases the height of the grubberfly energy beam, not its length. I only used MoP for this fight because of the second stage in order to hit Sly even if he comes from a higher angle. If you dont mind the second stage, you can switch MoP for Dream Wielder and Shaman Stone. When sly is down, you can dream nail him up to two times (maybe 3 if you're risky) and bombard him with spells.

You know, I really like how you can see the difference here between experienced and non-experienced. I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't see the difference as well, but you can notice how at the start he was wayyy more Proactive than Reactive. Look at the pauses between attacks in the final attempt. He knows the moves and how long they last for. Rather than it being a fight against pure vessel, like the first attempt, it shows complete dominance and knowledge of Pure vessel. Less like boxing and more like chess, in a way? Reacting to your opponents moves. It's why I find the ability of trying and retrying without consequence so overpowered in videogames. At some point, you gain this incredible knowledge over the enemy because you know what they are going to do. yay cool bug kill big bug me enjoy

I personally run shamans instead of MoP and during the pillar Phase i like to dash through the last pillar using sharp shadow and then shriek. You can do a few hits before while walking away aswell. otherwise well done ^^

How many attempts? Also, mop is not helpful in this boss although there isn't much better options. Never use sharp shadow though

I like how near the end of the first attempt, you can see the panic, which is nonexistent in the last attempt. This is a good comparison.

WHY DO U NOT USE CAREFREE MELODY IT LITERALLY GIVES U A SECOND CHANCE, steady body costs u 1 NOTCH and gets u AT LEAST 1 MORE HIT on the fire beam attack. also ur not using dash a lot, shade dash SUCKS on this boss, WHY R U TRYING TO POGO WHEN U COULD HAVE WAITED, u could have fireballed(sometimes twice) grimm almost every time during the fire bird attack(if u jump into the gap faster, fireball lets u stall mid air), and hear me out, OVERCHARM. anyways, have a good day, just dont forget overcharm on radiant bosses.

Personally i like to rock fragile strength, long nail, quick slash and shaman stone/spell twister+nail masters glory! Nice vid keep them up

Interesting strategy. In the future if your doing radiant bosses I'd recommend over charming as there's no downside when you are one-shot either way... also first. Have a good day
