Tires in the air is fun, see how a 2019 Ford Transit with the Quadvan 4wd conversion does in cross axle climbs and descents. Eaton TruTrac saves the day. The Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my Method wheels could have handled airing down more also.

Even with pinch weld cutting I still had to deal with the door, 33's ain't easy front or rear.

Always be willing to admit your mistakes and go with the advice of folks smarter and more experienced. That is why I pick companies like Sportsmobile, saves me tons of mistakes and they are really nice about pointing out my errors.

You are never too busy or rushed for Family. It would have been easy to blast past instead of spending a few hours with the Man who inspired my automotive passion. My dad died when I was 10 and this guy was always there to teach and talk. Great times, oh and he kept the car I had to leave behind at 16yrs old. Next SEMA project? Modern Hemi tranplant?

We finally have the Van! After waiting a week on the delivery of the 2019 Ford Transit Eco-Boost we hit the road to Texas! This Van will be fully converted in less then 30 days and arrive at The SEMA Show in Las Vegas on Nov 5th-8th

My heart was broken by the assembly line folks at K CAP (Kansas City Assembly Plant), but not the way you think. All the positive comments really touched my heart and broke all notions I had that the folks building vehicles all day might not give a crap about the final owner. And I got to see the first person who was able to start and drive the Red Chaser.

I believe it is the 130 WB which is way better for off road, I just got a 148 awd but will not be off road like that, would if I had to though.

regarding trimming of pinch welds, many people seem reluctant. is this because of inviting rust (if you don't paint/seal after trimming) or is there another issue?

Thanks for sharing this! I am trying to decide between a Chevy Express and a Ford Transit for my camping van build...
Not sure where you’re at on that build, but I will say this…having driven the Chevy Express/GMC Savanna (2014-2016 model years) and a Transit 250 EcoBoost (2018 model year - currently daily driving) for work, I would take the EcoBoost a million times over either of the GM options. Far superior performance and space, granted the ride comfort for the driver is better in the GM models.

Nice video! I have an ARB air locker on my two wheel drive since I cant afford to do a full 4x4 conversion. Could you do a video on changing a tire in the field? I trying to figure out what I would need and use since the transit has weird jacking points and they are high up. I also have a 2.5 inch lift from van compass that I did.

The roof rack is one I designed with the help of my buddy Dave of Tock Solid Products, it is the prototype for one he is thinking of making....tires are 33's 255/80r17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers, took quite a bit of pinch weld trimming by Quadvan
Nice. Even when I remove my JK hardtop and go wheeling, I can tell the difference. I have a minimal lift kit to keep the center of gravity lower. Enjoy!
I really wish I could have done something like the 4wd conversion 1st and then test drive then the poptop but that wasn't how the plan unfolded....either way I love this thing!

Worlds of fun! Did you check out the renaissance fair while you were in town? Not only do I work where your van was made but I volunteer to teach archery out at the renaissance fair. Cant wait to see that baby all decked out. Been waiting on someone to do this!

I decided to hope in the Van with crazy one leg lance and go across the country through a craigslist add! I guess we are both crazy. Heading to Phenix today, California tomorrow. Getting parts installed soon.
