Just recently rewatched the whole Twilight saga. I still think the franchise was pretty mid but nostalgic nonetheless. I can remember my sister and her friends going through a vampire and Nightcore phase during our middle school years because of this series. I can clearly remember this time as it was shortly after the Harry Potter movies concluded and the MCU was beginning. I can also remember being at my aunt's house watching Breaking Dawn Pt.1 with my cousins and it was a very stellar moment for them. Shortly after this came the Hunger Games movies and The Hobbit trilogy. The director who did the first Twilight movie also did Red Riding Hood (2011) which also had the same kind of end credits sequence with love balled music and goth aesthetics. I loved the cinematography in both films. For some odd reason, I get Power Rangers vibes when watching the Twilight movies. I just don't know why. Probably because of the action sequences between the vampires and the werewolves and how in the final movie, we can hear Jacob and his other family members communicate with each other in their werewolf forms. Probably similar to how to Power Rangers communicate through their helmets. Or more like the wolves in Princess Mononoke.

Life was Better when It Will Rain and Twilight Breaking Dawn Came Out 😢

In my opinion, none of the other movies in the Twilight Saga compare to the first one (although, New Moon actually wasn't so bad.) The first Twilight the best - it followed the novel, had an amazing soundtrack/score, and nice plot timing. Also, the Twilight Saga films introduced me to singers/bands as well (like Linkin Park and Paramore.) If it wasn't for these films, I would've never known about their existence. I still can't believe its been _16 years_ since this was released. I remember me and my best friend going to our local AMC theatre, and being so excited to finally see this movie. Goes to show you that life is too short.

Alan Silvestri did an amazing job in composition of the background score.

I finally found when they played Decode. 😭 I was trying to listen for it the whole time but I should've stayed through the entire credits...such a beautiful soundtrack. Linkin Park is probably the most nostalgic for me. Radiohead sounded much more hip hop and modern imo. I didn't exactly like their song for the movie at first

I didn't expect Linkin Park to be also featured in Twilight (I initially thought Paramore is the only rock band I know that would be in it). I never hyped this much over a movie I never watched let alone a book I haven't yet read, might give it a try even if I'm already way past my "cringey" vampire phase

Truly, undeniably, one of the greatest soundtracks, hell one of the greatest pieces of music ever composed. The kind of music that even if you haven’t heard it for years will instantly put you to tears as if it was the first time you ever heard it.

I always thought the movie got a bad wrap. I go to the movies to get entertained and this was definitely entertaining. Solid cast, great soundtrack, spectacular visuals, good storyline. A unique & stylish updated version from the vampire genre.
