can you please stop fireworks
Suggestion: Split a refuge collection wagon down the middle by welding in a steel plate with crushers on either side. Use for Brown and Blue bins that are rarely put out for every collection and when they are they are rarely full and contain extremely compressible waste. Save on diesel, emissions and much more.
That was a pointless video. I live here and I couldn't tell you the last time I visited besides going to Morissons or post office. It's a horrible area, I'd never even want to go to at night
Nice one, all roofs should have soalr as well as car parks, beside railways and major roads etc.
I expect you to be back next year to inform us how much electricity was actually produced What is the expected payback time for these panels
We can't go carbon neutral with solar PV yet - they're made with fossil-origin polymers, as is cable insulation, connectors, circuit components, cabinets, battery packaging etc. They're also shipped long distances here using fossil fuels. We badly need an e-polymers (hydrocarbons made with Renewable Energy from air-captured carbon and hydrogen from water) startup to demonstrate carbon negative (because it's effectively long-lived sequestration of atmospheric carbon) plastics and to produce our own solar panels. That's when we'll be carbon neutral. Good to see a step in the right direction!
Ticking the boxes!

Not a single mention of the damaged headstone from the Bombing of December 1940. A very important part of the history of the area. Espically as it cost 684 mostly civilian lives.
Stay safe everyone!!!
Remember when it was so busy!!!
My namesake town
@@Stefan_Eccles Sad that it's now a ghost town.
A very apt and befitting narration
How are all those warm feelings working out for you now
I don't care any more about refugee, when will you start taking care of your own citizens?
How rude of Councillor Barnes to be messing about on her phone instead of listening to such a great speech. 1hr 51mins
Save Eccles, this is the roots of where my family are from. We are alive and well in America. Preserve our ancient people and place. I’ll be returning to restore our people. Message me to show I am real. Respectfully Jayne Eckels. My family history goes back to the 1100s from Kildonan, Scotland.
Eccles town center is still empty
Labour out of salford asap
Salford city
😢 cannot waste food
Why are you promoting this place, where dogs are supposed to be leashed, with footage of them running free? Left hand - right hand...!
Eccles was also the name of a character portrayed by Spike Milligan on the Goon Show, popular on BBC radio in the 1950s. ;-)
It’s also my name
@@Stefan_Eccles Nice one ! Hopefully you can be proud of the place in the future too
Sounds like a good work environment. But I don't see diversity.
My ticket No 107 for The Smiths 20th July 1986 still framed up at home. I knew I had seen them at their very best and something even transcending that in live performance. The unity and contact with the audience was electric. Ended up stood on one of the big window cills on the right as it is true the crush and sway was massive. It was reported chunks of the ceiling in the bar below came off. 'Alabaster Crashes Down...." indeed. Support act Raymonde featuring Morrissey's old friend James Maker were sadly not given a fair hearing, but we were all just so fired up after the previous evening's "Festival of The 10th Summer" gig at G Mex which lost something in the organisation and stage space, (unlike the sheer intimacy of Maxwell Hall). Mike Joyce is right in saying it felt like a homecoming gig, it was..to their natural constituency.
I wouldn't trust salford labour council .Their must be something in for them
Seen The KINKS IN 1975 . Great venue.
All the money went into Salford at the expense of eccles Patricroft irlam and cadishead..why has the trams stopped at eccles why not continue to cadishead
Yes, I live in Patricroft and take the bus instead of having to walk 15 mins to the Eccles tram stop
Who you kidding, you want to bump life long residents out and get all the rich snobs in ,
I complained about that to the council: all they want is to turn it into a wine bar Monton Road. They don't care about locals
And all the new apartments you are building so you are doing up eccles for your own benefits
Yup
All council care about is turning into flats. By get rid of many shops like did with old Eccles market
Council have destroyed Eccles
Eccles crap now
😂 Eccles horrible place
Never used to be
Imagine kneeling for Scum you pathetic Kunts
Youve turned all the car park spots behind greggs into disable'd parking, its hardley ever used by blue badge holders !!!Not to mention its proper dodgy and dark, spots are so tight not fit for someone who may require wheelchair. Well done salford council just made the town centre even more quite
Lots of useless words but no plans?
Nevermind, "Welcome to Eccles". The place is a crackden and full of people that run off heroin. The only just about normal person you'll see are the drunk men from the pub facing the tram stop.
Yes, long overdue to show some love to this once vibrant town. A good variety of independent shops is needed, and nice places to eat like the Bevano Lounge and Lily's wine bar in Urmston. Retain the history of Church Street. Don't waste this chance to say what you would like the future town to be.
You have to do what the retailers and market traders were begging you to do years ago...affordable rent and rates! None of us small businesses had a chance because the rents were too high and instead of filling the shops with local, small businesses at lower rates, they were left empty. The "new market" was awful and left to rot like a lot of the shops. If this is for the people then give the empty units to the people and not just the same old big high street stores.
True!!!
Only Eccles precinct, can make Salford Precinct look good. I went to Sale precinct today, some great small businesses, good variety of independent food outlets, excellent renovation into smaller stores.
Eccles town centre died when you demolished the original markets and bus station
Yes Eccles market was great
I totally agree with you Eccles is (I hate to say it)but it’s dire
Funny how the residents of Eccles have been complaining about the precinct since the early 2000's and nothing was done, now Eccles has private unaffordable apartments being built and the council suddenly find £4.15 million to buy the precinct. Dodgy Salford council again I suspect. Mike McCusker is the worst councillor Eccles has ever had, and we've had a few.
Do you not think that development may have brought the funding needed to enable this purchase?
I've run out of freezer bags to put food in (which I intend to eat). Are these recyclable bags safe to use for storing food in?
