Thank you so much for this video. I am a replica airgun collector. I have this same sling but was wondering in which direction to attach the sling. I wanted to know for the videos I make as well as for some of the photos I take to help promote the sport. Okay, to clarify a few things with this product: 1) It will not charge many USB devices very well at all. I have seen the circuitry from other teardowns of this and the voltage you will get at the USB is whatever the batteries are providing (3.6 - 4.5V). This is inadequate for charging a mobile phone, and the current capabilities will be quite low as well. 2) The solar panel on these things will not charge the batteries fully. The circuitry is too "lossy", and the solar cell voltage may be a bit low as well - resulting in the solar cell only partially charging the batteries. Don't expect to get full capacity if you are using the USB only. 3) The mains circuitry is dangerous and presents multiple hazards. The supplied mains AC cable is very thin, so if there is a problem with the device whilst charging, the cable could melt. The charging circuitry has no isolation from the mains, so the USB outlet (and potentially the chrome ring on the power button!) will become live at whatever your local mains is, if you plug it in to the AC mains input. If you have a metal bodied device or phone (such as an iPhone) then your device will become live. Have a look at user "DiodeGoneWild" reviewing his light to show what happens when an iPhone is plugged in whilst charging from a 230V mains supply. Overall, not recommended and has some nasty safety hazards if you use the AC input.
