did you have a brain freeze mate? not securing that awning was nuts.
What was the track like in the way down to Evans hut? There used to be a big bog there
The track was easy going, no signs of a bog- Has rained for a while through. thanks for watching.
Nice video. That's a great camp spot - been there several times. Top area but I haven't gone down Weston Track as I travel to No3 Hut area instead. I'll have to try that next time.
@@wai-s.world308 thanks for watching. It’s a great area, that section of Westerns tk is only short, be keen to drive up it too a bit of fun to be had there.👍
Nice video Mick, well put together… definitely some great camping spot amongst all that. I was at work on the Snowy Hydro thank god.
Thanks Gav, great camping through there. Glad she's ok.
Yeah.. I was with the Million other people over in the Licola/Dargo area on opening weekend... *sigh*. I camped at the bottom of Buckland Spur track where it crosses the river on the Kings B'day weekend. I went down to the lake but the tide was out.. so far out that I was able to drive out almost to the middle of the lake.. so it is good to see there is water in there again. Thanks for sharing your travels !
@@chrisduckworth2022 thanks for watching, heading that way in a few weeks- stay tuned🎬🎥
What maps book are you using?
It’s a Hema Vic High Country book. It’s a great book to have in your kit. Helps out for general planning and info Thanks for watching👍
I hope you gave the old boy a chop!
😱chopped the tails off for him- loves them Thanks for watching👍
Awesome trip!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great looking trip mate. It's a great drive-through there.
@@OffroadTouringLife love that area
Great video, fun for you & Jimmy !
22:46 Snuck a couple of days on the boat, furtherest trip so far! Before getting into chores at home…
@@Sailing.Isla. alway good to get out there
I’m going to ask the stupid question but how do you gauge how doable these crossings are? Do you walk them first
@@JasondenHollander-qj5hp hey, pending on the time of year and what the weather has been doing. Typically the first 2-3 are the deepest(heading in from Dargo). It is always good practice to walk crossing you’re not familiar with. Do some research leading up to your trip as well. There are a few good ones on fb. Thanks for watching📺🎥
Does anyone know what the flathead screwdriver bolt on the left side of the lights is for?
You lads need to Euro nymph this water. Thank me later
@@rob3518 can try that next time👍
I don’t feel so bad now, I’m not the only person that can’t catch trout… as I say Mick, always next time ! 🤦🏽🤣
🤦♂️ there’s always next time, just a great way to spend your time😬 I’ll catch one soon enough……
@@4x4devgru I’ve been saying it for months. 🤦🏽
Does the Triton have the roof top fixed to the canopy and car roof? 😲
@@sammegson2902 yes he does
They certainly look the goods, not many offering the spread like these do. I've got a pair of 7's and a lightbar bundle coming, I need that extra lighting out in the scrub with the country driving I'm doing. I don't understand why they used those cases though, they'd be cheaper without them, and that would equate to more customers. The cases are honestly a waste of time and money.
Update on the 7 inch rounds now they're on the car, no light bar yet just the 2 X 7 inch. Big increase from just high beams, but I'd say go the 9 inch if you're on the fence, they have a much better output comparing my 7's to the 9's on the mates car. They're definitely easier on the eyes compared to a same sized set of cheaper lights with not a lot of noticeable difference in illumination without the flood covers, the flood covers win hands down for side illumination over the cheaper ones. I like the throw out to the side with the flood covers on, the distance does reduce naturally but my run the other night and this morning was definitely improved. I need the time to try the Scene light bar and perhaps no flood covers on the 7's.
@@mrbrown3546no scene bars in stock at the moment. So are these 7's more powerful than a Kings 9 inch or another cheap brand like they are claiming?
Well done Mick. Found some good snow, I try avoid it ! 🤣🤦🏽

Nice edit! Can’t wait for closure to open up again 🙌
Very interesting trip, well done ! 😊

Never seen so many river crossings! Wonder how the Jimny would go...
Thanks for watching, the Jimmy can do it in summer when the rivers have dropped and make sure you have a snorkel😉
Great video with a nice group of blokes
cheers mate, we had a great time.
Love seeing Ross out and about as well in the high country! Atelier reunion?

Some good logging history in that area by the looks of it Mick. Coming from a hardwood sawmilling family I’d like to go check it out one day. Cheers
Heaps of history out there Gav, love getting out there &chasing it. Sounds like we need to plan a trip.

Have to love a good sunset, working them camera angles 👍🏼… but a little too much slow motion for me. 🤦🏽

thanks for teh vid mate, vic here also (yarra valley) new to 4x4 stuff, but my car is all ready for it, thanks for going through all this trip, hope to see it soon :D
thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it - jump on and subscribe :)
Hey Mick - I loved your vid thank you! Desperately trying to figure out how to rent cars like yours for a few days to do this track. Nothing compares on popular car rental websites or camplify; especially on clearance. Any ideas of who I could reach out to around Melbourne / Sydney?
Hey Marco, thanks for watching. im not sure, you can hire 4x4 campers like a troopy - Google is probably your best bet.
High country fog is full on but I'm yet to drive any hard sections on blue rag it's more so a highway. Going down basalt would of been quicker to get to camp
its a bit chewed up in a few sections, but yes a well maintained tk.
