Hello, I’m Noah.
Expect a new video every Sunday. I’m a rail fan based in South Kansas City. I will primarily film at locations on the UP Coffeyville Subdivision. I primarily film with a Canon Vixia HF R50 while occasionally using my phone(iPhone 15) if my camera is unavailable.

UP SB Tanker Train-135th Street
Originally I was gonna go out to 4th Street and go out to the Kansas Sub for the entire month of November but unfortunately that will have to wait as my car is having issues with the Power Steering System and will need to be fixed before I go to far away locations again. I ended up coming out here to 135th Street as I haven't been out here in a while and had wanted something easy since I had to do other stuff today. I ended up catching a NB Manifest, a SB Coal Load which had dragging equipment, and this SB Tanker that was lead by UP 7506 with UP 8834 and UP 5652 trailing.

I saw this crossing on Google Maps And I knew I would've liked to record here. I ended up opting for an early morning shot as I left my house at 6:00 to get here. I caught a NB here but unfortunately my video got blurry and I ended up having to stay for another train but I figured after the NB passed there would be a SB waiting on the Wagstaff Siding which is a few miles north of me and I ended...
UP EB UCEX Coal Load-Ferguson Spring Road

Filmed on 10/13/2024 After I caught the MegaStack at Little Blue Road I decided to come out here to Ferguson Spring Road since I had wanted to film these gateless signals for a while now and because I won't be able to come out here next weekend as my car will be in the shop. I ended up waiting for an hour or 2 and as i was about to call it I heard the Milepost 274.6 go off which immediately tol...
UP Big Boy 4014 Heartland of America Excursion-103rd Street *Detector Triggered*
Просмотров 37214 дней назад
When I heard that Big Boy was coming to town on October 15th and it would be on the Coffeyville Sub I immediately knew I wanted to get it at 103rd Street because I go there a lot. I immediately started tracking it on ATCS and the Tracker when I got home. While I waited a SB Manifest passed by but I did not film that as I was there to get Big Boy. Once it finally came I got to feel the power of ...
UP WB MegaStack-Little Blue Road

I decided to come out to Litle Blue Road this weekend to finally get a freight train here as I had tried to get something like 2 other times. The 1st time I was successful but I accidentally deleted my video, the 2nd time I had to leave because a storm was headed my way. I was in a bit of a rush as I was getting here because it was moving fast towards Little Blue Road on the server, but I ended...
NS 259-Spor Road
Просмотров 7628 дней назад
I decided to come out here to Spor Road as I haven't caught any Norfolk Southern train yet. When I got here I lucked out as NS 259 was nearing my location without me even realizing it until I heard a new defect detector at Milepost 249.5. I'll try and get it on the Detector Database eventually but the readout wasn't as good as I would've liked it to be. Leading 259 was NS 9838 with NS 9877 and ...
CPKC I180 with Grey Ghost-Lancaster Road

I was originally not gonna go railfanning this weekend but I ended up changing my mind and wanting to come out to Lancaster Road as I wanted to get a recording of the Milepost 485.2 defect detector. I ended up sort of lucking out as when I got here CPKC I180 which was lead by CP 8147 and KCS 4547 was about a mile and a half away and I successfully recorded the detector and was even surprised to...

The reason for the day late upload on this video is because I originally tried to go to Little Blue Road but I ended up having to leave a storm approached and I didn't go railfanning again on Saturday. There was no way I was gonna be able to go back to little blue road anytime this week so I just opted to go to 95th Terrace instead since I haven't been out here in a while. Leading this train wa...

I came out to Grandview to see the new wayside signals at CP 23 and originally I was only gonna catch this train which was lead by KCS 4177 with CP 8121 and BNSF 6283 trailing. Originally I thought this was I180 but as I was taking a picture of the signals at Main Street C869 creeped up on me and another railfan popped up and told me he was here to catch what turned out to actually be I180. Before I say anything else the reason why I haven't uploaded anything in a while has to do with a few reasons such as getting burnt out and wanting to take a little break, being incredibly busy mainly with my now ex girlfriend, having to do some shopping, and the kid that intentionally derailed the train in Nebraska. That's really it, so with that said onto the video we go. I decided to come ou...
BNSF WB Manifest-Dennis Avenue no. 3

I finally got an opportunity to catch something on the Fort Scott Sub as I was monitoring the KCT and I would see a SB get lined up for the Scott. I decided to catch it out here at Dennis Avenue because I had tried to come out here a few times with no luck. I got here with like an hour to spare and when I was thinking about leaving I finally got a red over flashing yellow on Main 2. It was taki...
EB S Train + WB BNSF Auto Rack Train highballing in Wellsville

I was originally gonna come here next weekend but I decided to return to Wellsville today because I might have other plans next weekend that I won't go into detail about. When I got here I had plenty of time to spare and after a few minutes I ended up getting a green for a WB on main 2. A few minutes after I noticed this I heard a horn that sounded like it came from the west and I immediately k...
*Fixed Light Frame & New LED* UP SB Manifest-103rd Street

I decided to do a quick outing at 103rd Street and when I got there I had plenty of time to spare. The light frame has been fixed for about a week now as I discovered it on a trip I made a few days ago but I didn't catch anything, but I just discovered that a new GE Dotted LEDs had replaced one of the 2nd Gen WC Hayes LEDs today. Leading this train was UP 7630 with UP 7398 trailing in elephant ...
CPKC C867-Grandview
Просмотров 574 месяца назад
I decided to come out to Main Street in Grandview to get a summer shot here. When I got here I was already expecting a SB(C869) but this NB(C867) was waiting for C868 to pass. As C868 passed I think it got hit with a defect as it had stopped on the main track once it cleared. I waited a few more minutes for C867 to get cleared as I knew it was about to move since I was listening to the chatter ...

You made an appearance on catching at the Big Boy 4014 It’s an fascinating train 🚂
@@AustinShaumeyer Definitely a sight to see
Nice!
Thanks!
Gold hours of surprise 4014 in KC was
@@railyardfilms6491 Yeah it was nice to hear about
Cool catch of the Big Boy! I'm surprised there was a bit of a crowd at 103rd St. There was barely anyone at 12th St when I was there.
@@kcmorailfan4784 I wasn’t too surprised when I saw the crowd as 103rd has a big parking space
Cool video
Wow Awesome Catch
@@uprailfan91 Thank you
@@SouthKCRailfan no problem
Cool video. I see you went to one of my spots on the KC District. That's like the only good spot in Orrick as you barely get any encounters with anyone and overall a good spot in general.
@@kcmorailfan4784 I do like this spot a lot. I was able to hear 2 defect detectors from here which is nice.
@@SouthKCRailfan Ah nice!
Cool catch 😎
259 will be thru there in the next hr or so with NS 1800 leading
Thank you
@@KCTopDawg I heard about that but unfortunately I won't be able to catch it.
Nice bro

What's good Noah
Nice video! This crossing is sadly the only 4 left in Olathe on the Fort Scott Sub as BNSF grade separated the crossings east of this one in the mid to late 2000s. Those crossings consisted of Loula St #2, Park Ave #2, Santa Fe St #2, and Ridgeview Ave. All those were unfortunately grade separated prior to the Emporia Sub becoming a QZ.
Great video & crossing!
Great video!
Thanks for watching!
Great video!
Thanks for watching!
Nice catch! It would really be great if they upgraded those fenders around the base of the signal masts, the ones that are there are an eyesore. Last time I went by the rotated signal light it appeared the latest repair was done using duct tape, I hope this time they were a little more serious about stopping the tampering with safety devices.
They do look like they provide very little protection to the signals.
I'll meet ya there!
He was rolling!
Epic action 🎬
Cool video. Glad you got to see 2816 on the CPKC line before it arrived to Knoche.
Yeah me too. And again thank you very much for the heads up
Awesome i subscribe to you
Cool video. Any clue where the safest place is to park at this crossing?
On the west side of the crossing there’s a spur on the right side of the road that ends just before the crossing.
I was just over there, counting the six lanes across again because the public works guy thinks I am exaggerating. I'm not. Supposedly the gentleman is meeting me there about 7:30 AM on Tuesday so I can show him where I want parking in the area. So that might help. Also, I'm in touch with the RideKC call center about shutting down the stops on the west side of the trax, but it's weird I called in once two weeks ago then I called in again today and talked to the same lady... Who said all I can do is pass it on , I can't myself do anything about it something. Very nice lady but unable to help. She suggested calling the complaint line, which I did... And it was same lady again. For what it's worth

When I'm expecting a consist but a hy-rail or MOW machine comes instead, it's like getting only socks and underwear for Christmas.
That’s what that felt like to me since I was expecting a Southbound.
Nice catch. Sorry to hear you had an encounter with morons at Indiana Ave along with hearing guns going off at Prospect. That area from Prospect through 12th St is a pretty bad area to be filming in. Its why I completely avoid the Coffeyville Sub and the Pittsburg Sub as well.
Thank you! I don’t plan on going back for a while because of that but hopefully next time I do go to that area the same thing doesn’t happen again
@@SouthKCRailfan I don't blame you for not wanting to return to those spots for awhile. I'm in the same boat with both Claremont Ave, Kentucky Rd and Buist Rd in Fleming for bad encounters I had.
Nice catch!
Thank you!
Saw this train on the Kansas side. Cool catch! The crossing looks familiar 😎. SBs will not go thru there fast as the grade is really steep
Cool catch 😎
Thanks for watching
Monster catch bro!
Thanks for watching
If you’re wondering why I mentioned the signal being dark it’s because on UPRR signals whenever the block is unoccupied the signal would always be dark. The train I was tracking was a SB but it wasn’t close enough to activate the signal yet and when it was close enough the signal would’ve been red. It also would’ve stayed red for a few minutes after the train passed regardless of what direction a train was headed
That Was Odd
@@804Floridarailfanning Very. I was just walking when they activated out of nowhere
@@SouthKCRailfan Oh Ok
Who was the former owner of the Kansas Subdivision, did the MoPac install these signals
Union Pacific is the original owner of the Kansas Sub and therefore they installed these signals
Awesome Catch
Thank you
