Charismania: The Fire & the Fame.
If anyone has spent any amount of time in a “Charismatic” church chances are high you’ve experienced miraculous breakthrough and varying levels of arguable insanity. Whether that insanity is a pastor yelling “shamma llama ding dong” while trying to hit with a holy suplex, or simply someone coming up to you and saying “thus sayeth lord” and attempting to impart direct word from God himself to you. Unfortunately, the insanity typically outweighs the breakthrough for many. But for those who stay, discern, and grow the life in which “Charismania” brings is unrivaled.

Dirty Jesus: The Divine Dance of Grace & Sin. The LGBTQ Community. Abortion. Porn. “Woke”Ideology. Is it possible for Jesus to be in the midst of these “sins”, working, moving, healing, restoring, and loving? Can you be a disciple of Christ and struggle with these sins? It’s a lot to unpack and we do our best to share our thoughts on where and how we should answer these questions. Things get in...
Divorcing Trump: A Plea to End Christian Nationalism.

Political fanaticism has been alive and well in the church for decades, but over these last 8 years it’s been at a fever pitch. In many ways, and for many people, it’s been elevated to point of idolatry, giving way to a false Messiah, one that rides a red elephant and sits on the throne of the White House. Trump “the man” isn’t the issue, it’s the spirit of a false political gospel that’s been ...

What a complete fool. Your first belief should be towards God. Stop the false idolatry in party affiliation or a demigod leader in Trump. Jesus gave us a path on how we should behave and how righteous men should act. Donald doesn't have any of those qualities. Literally
"reagan was an upstanding guy therefore you can't criticize him" despite war on drugs, massively increased wealth gap, multiple scandals involving the supply of weapons to (what we would recognize today as) terrorist groups, and so on...
RFK is the best alternative. Please watch the new video RFK posted on his page titled: RFK Jr. : I Will Win If You Believe. The only way we to ensure Trump doesn't get back into office is to join repubs, dems, and independents behind RFK. Its time dems put their vote where their mouth is, if they truly believe democracy is at stake. We'll be patiently, and lovingly, waiting for ALL Americans.
RFK is a joke
@@isaachardaway Respectfully, the joke has been played on the American people by the corporate oligarchs of the two party system for the last several decades. Our nation's people have an opportunity to unite and take back our country. This will not happen under any other candidate that either the dems or repubs put up. If we continue to vote out of party allegiance we will get more of the same vitriol, chaos, and disconnection. I, for one, am done feeding into the chaos. I choose love and connection over hate and fear. Search your heart my friend. Check in with the better version of yourself and use your "wise mind". Lets come together and focus on the 95% of things ALL Americans have in common.
The Christian church cannot divorce itself from Trump because it still struggling to divorce itself from the racism aspect. Racism has the church in a chokehold and trump's presence proves it!

Yeah, it's not Zionism that is a 'Political fanaticism has been alive and well for decades' How many people have to die for Zionism, both parties in America ran by AIPAC. But you don't have the sack to tell the truth. Spare me this false consciousness about the threat of 'Christian Nationlism'
Trump isn't Jesus, or a messiah, he will not "save" us. I vote for Trump because the alternative is men in dresses running the military, surgery and puberty blockers on children, drag queen story hour, open borders, abortion clinics popping up like starbucks, and men in women's bathrooms and prisons. I mean, why wouldn't we vote against that? It's literally a return to some semblance of basic sanity.

It has been an issue since the founding of this country. It was used as a justification for killing the indigenous, slavery, and a host of other atrocities. Who were the folks burning crosses, lynching, etc? To let them tell it, they were doing God's work. These folks are the same from back then and their descendants. Trump validates their hate and racism.

I heard about Christian Nationalism when I was in history class in High School.
Thats CRT from what FOX news keeps telling me
How fascinating🦧
Christian Nationalism based on Freemasonry. Abraham looked towards a city not built by hands which the location the moon map shows where it’s at, and we want to make this country a better place. Christian Nationalism, Zionism on a fake country called Israel drawn up by Freemasons, and end times rapture theology that make events that already happened in 70AD and Jesus Christ already reigned for a 1000 years happening now 2000 years after Jesus himself said to many people that they would not die until they saw the Son of Man coming back in the clouds, and you have Satan in his little season of Revelation 20 deceiving the whole world. Also Albert Pike’s letter of his 3 world wars to bring about the light of Lucifer, mutually destroy Islam and Judaism in fake Israel with the fake “Ashkenazi” Jews, to destroy Christianity and Atheism. Satan is gathering Gog and Magog for when Jesus shows up with his camp of saints from the North Pole to Siberia. Nice Santa Claus satanic inversion. Look it up. The millenial reign coming and going Satan’s little season Jason Jack’s 10 evidences we are in Satan’s little season, Mudflood Old world buildings, Entire cities in America built before the 1830’s with 0 people on the streets, Flat earth. In a sense what’s going to happen is people are so fed up with the left wing darkness of Satan that’s it’s going to shift everything to the right wing light of Lucifer. Trump, Nessara, Gessara, Solomon’s 666 talents of gold. Do not be deceived.
The only religion that annoys me today is the church of Wokeness backed by the neo-liberal establishment. Christianity used to be annoying but the left has become so annoying that even chrsrians seem cool in comparison.
christian nationalists calling tans people fascists is the most ass backwards ass shit ive ever heard of
Ya'll can't see the forest for the trees. Let go of "identity" and honestly and earnesty consider which candidate shares your morals, and which will be the best leader of our country for the next four years. What are your priorities? So often in this conversation i heard something like "i don't really follow this thing, but nonetheless i hold some position". Voting is a right AND a responsibility (thx 8th grade Civics). You owe it to yourself, your country, and whatever God you believe in, to make informed decisions. You're on the right path... But you have alot of work left to do... Good luck.
This is encouraging. The rise of Trump turned me away from Christian nationalism. Ironically, I believe a Trump presidency will result in more people rejecting Christian Nationalism.
On Love: I struggled with the concept of love for many years. I'd hear people say "I love you" but their actions would betray them. I'd hear others say, "you need to love yourself." and think, you mean have warm and fuzzy feelings toward myself? HOW!?!?! LOL I finally intentionally adopted Corinthian love. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs…" It occurred to me that this was descriibing not a way of feeling but a way of BEING; these are actions, not emotions. Finally something practical I could DO regardless of how I felt in any given moment. It also means that most likely and in most circumstances, sometimes we do love others(we are patient with them, kind to them, etc.) and sometimes we don't love others(we are impatient with them, unkind to them, etc.). I also feel like taking this on puts us in a position of humility, especially with regards to our "enemies". "If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?" What a CHALLENGE!!!! 😭🙏
Christian Nationalist Motto: If you can't convince them with reason and faith, coerce them with rules and firearms.
That doesn't make sense at all. I've read this over and over and still confused.
@@Hairybuffalo Meaning if you can't get people to become Christians through inspiration(leading by example, being a light unto the world, living a Christ-like life) so that people will see the fruits of the Holy Spirit radiating from you and be naturally drawn to Christianity, then you can take control of government and force them through law to at least appear Christian.
@@CMA418 sounds like a great plan...screw all these degenerates
Sooooo….that criteria includes all of islam moving into other nations, right? Setting no-go zones for cops and nationals? 🫵🏽🤡
Also y'all are hilarious and you're not wrong!! It's sad that because of our culture we're all blindfolded and walking on eggshells and scared to talk about our true opinions, the things on our consciences, what is on our hearts mind.... We're too scared to express it because of those under the control of either religion, government or like you said.... Both in one. I've never voted yet because I didn't like my options but this term is very different and the very reasons that you are expressing why you're unhappy with both parties is EXACTLY why I'm voting for Kennedy this term.
Everyone be sensitive and walk on eggshells before replying to this comment.
I used to be a cam girl so I can tell you that TONS of men (and women tbh) are into feet. Hell, some are even into dirty feet specifically though I get the feeling you're more into the girly, pretty, clean feet.
This was difficult to listen to. The unbiblical arguments that are deconstructionist progressive liberal trash was on full display. You strawmanned and purposely misconstrued the biblical arguments. I want to give consideration to the substance of your arguments in regards to translation, but they were never explained. What bs! If you claim an error in translation than give the correct translation… You don’t get to just say trust me bro with the word of God. Grass withers, flowers fade, but the word of God last forever. There were a lot of my opinion stuff in here, fair enough, but it’s taken with a grain of salt. Again you don’t give explanation and you cheapen and avoid the actual arguments. What a disservice to an issue that matters.
Hey! I get it, it’s a loaded topic with support on each side. The purpose of this/these episodes isn’t to deep dive theology and “convert” people to our point of view but to have casual conversations about different topics within the western Christian sphere. The majority of us don’t care strongly one way or the other with this controversy specifically. Hence why we talked broadstrokes and generally agreed without major dissent. Women should be able to serve/lead/preach if the calling is there. There is our “opinion”. Simple. If you’re looking for a step by step theology handbook for each episode you’ll be woefully disappointed. We are life long friends who love Jesus and are just talking things out. Totally not deep enough for some and too deep for others. Thanks for the listen though. Disagreement is the building block for growth. ❤️
@@_MostlyFocused You don’t get it. Maybe you should examine yourself. Friendship is valuable, but it’s not the most important thing. What about honoring God, what about His word? Your friend literally said that the “epistles are like a email that wast intended for us to read”, he clearly inferred that they shouldn’t be in the Bible. And he doubled down on that point. You didn’t talk in broad strokes and you very clearly have a strong opinion, you just stated it. I’m ok with you holding said opinion. But I’m not ok with you saying the plain in context reading of the Bible that puts your opinion into question is wrong because the Bible is mistranslated and it doesn’t say what it actually says. That requires explanation. So what does it say then? Seriously, I’m asking. Because saying it took place in Rome has nothing to do with the translation. If your position is in opposition to that section of scripture, then fine, just admit it. If that’s the case I don’t care and have no desire to argue about it. But you don’t get to say the English translation is wrong and doesn’t say that.
@@mbscarall love to you, sorry we didn’t quite hammer home everything for you. We state this regularly, this is a secondary issue for us, as most things are outside of the life, death, and resurrection of Christ. We won’t argue with you, and going forward we will “attempt” to expound more, but that’s not the point of this. It’s just conversation. Not teaching. Not preaching. Just conversation. If a host or guest host says something that you, or one of us don’t agree with, that’s fine, we aren’t hosting a debate. We may housekeep in the next episode if we feel the need, but truly we don’t care most of the time. Haha. It’s not that deep. The email was a modern analogy’ and he wasn’t implying they shouldn’t be there. But if you interpreted that way, then that’s for you to wrestle with. Plus it puts you in the scripture more. So win win for all of us.
@@_MostlyFocused I believe this should be my last reply. First off I apologize for some of my language in the first comment. I shouldn’t use language such as bs or the characterization of trash. That was inappropriate. The dishonoring and what I believe was attempt to change the word of God made me angry and I acted in a brash manner. I’m sorry for that. You’re interacting in a dishonest manner. Like claiming you don’t have a strong opinion, then stating a strong opinion. Saying you’re not teaching or preaching, but you did exactly that. Saying it’s not a debate, but your conversation was clearly a debate. My life (like all of us) isn’t always inline with the word of God. I have grace and a lot of leeway for people whose opinions are disjointed with many biblical teachings. The topic of your conversation is a difficult one, because myself and most others don’t have issue with woman in Key leadership roles such as lead pastor except for that primary passage that says otherwise. This can be emotionally difficult and uncomfortable. But it’s nothing to do with my personal feels and certainly not a belittling view of woman. It’s that I put the word of God in a high place and submit to it, when I’m wrong I say I’m the one in error because the Bible trumps my feelings. I don’t have a clue why the Bible forbids this, but I’m not the head who decided this. I just submit to what it says. The Bible is the only thing in the whole world I submit to in this manner.THE CORE OF MY PROBLEM IS THAT YOUR PODCAST UNQUESTIONABLY SAID THE BIBLE IS MISTRANSLATED AND DOENT SAY THAT. So what does it say then? I understand you will not answer this question, because in this specific instance your acting in a dishonest manner or maybe you don’t know the answers and refuse to admit your wrong. When I say I don’t care if you hold a contrary opinion to what is said in that passage, fair enough. I want to be clear what I mean. I don’t care isn’t dismissive of you as a human being. I mean that I accept that your opinion is different than what is taught in that specific passage of scripture and can leave it at that and go my own way in peace and wish you well as a fellow Christian. My life has been nonstop falling short of the word. I’m not going to wish evil upon you for having the same problem. I love the Bible and genuinely believe it’s the word of God. I’m familiar with some mistranslations to English, but those don’t literally teach the opposite of what is mistranslated. Even if it was unintentional you did teach theology and claimed that the Bible was not merely off and a matter of specific translation or nuanced. But that it doesn’t say what it plainly says, that’s uncool. You shouldn’t do that. That wasn’t a conversation, it was a Bible teaching. The host went into detail, claimed to have pages of notes, talked about ancient history. Specifically said the Bible does not say woman can’t teach and preach that is a mistranslation. But you won’t go into the Greek and share the proper translation and your contextualization isn’t found any where in the Bible. Nope it’s your personal anachronistic interpretation of a historic city. Have and enjoy your interpretation. BUT DONT SAY THE BIBLE DOEST SAY THAT, ITS MISTRANSLATED. BECAUSE IT SAYS EXATLY THAT, ITS NOT MISTRANSLATED. Erasing passages of scripture is not ok just because you don’t know what to do with them or personally find them distasteful. You need to wrestle with the word, you’re the one claiming it shouldn’t be there… also your friend wasn’t making an analogy in the sense that his conclusion was anything other than to say those books should not be in the cannon, that wasn’t their intention. He was crystal clear those letters or at the very least that specific letter isn’t for us and we’re mistaken for drawing conclusions from them/it. Don’t be mad at me for hearing what he plainly said. Take some responsibility for what your mass disseminating into the world. A conversation happens between you and your friends not a podcast where you’re clearly disseminating your world view. If you don’t want to teach and preach then stop doing it, but don’t use this cheap cop out of “it’s just a conversation”.
@@mbscar you’re good, lots of points to cover there, and of course we won’t/shouldn’t cover them all in a comments section. Truthfully, I don’t even remember all of that haha. We all have pages of notes, we barely get to use half of them because conversation goes all over the place, hence the name Mostly Focused. Sorry that in this case it was offensive to you. But listen, I’m going to quote the great theologian Jeffery D. Lebowski and his earth shattering quote when he says “Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion man.” We disagree. That’s fine. You think we are leftist, deconstructing, liberals. Ok. That’s a first, but we have been called worst. Truthfully, God bless you brother/sister. Walk in Grace.
