Lovely episode and very insightful information on data breaches and ways of mitigating them. the pertinent question is why security technology is still failing us despite billions that are being budgeted on security every year? people aren’t noticing that there is already a very effective solution to that threat - and that solution is based on an technology that’s almost fifty years old! Why are people not seeing the solution to all the data breaches and attacks has been in plain sight?

What a joke, I found out today that my stay at a comfort inn and suites on May 20 2023 is included with the Cl0p June 2023 data breach for choice hotels. I got zero notification whatsoever about my info being in the breach or that there was a breach at all. And I had to find out via a scammer trying to get my personal information. Yet these corporations take no responsibility nor give compensation to victims for their terrible data security practice and use of an equally awful moveIT software. I'll stay in my car before ever staying at a choice hotel ever again. And if Choice Hotels was with Veza a year ago, well before this data breach, I'd consider finding another security partner.
