This is excellent! So helpful, a very thorough overview! I will be definitely be sharing this with my students, thank you!
Thank you
Really interesting and informative
"Hold on, the lights just went off." The most relatable afterschool teacher moment EVER. That and the annoying colleague who finds us in our classroom working..... who proceeds to have the longest rant and or conversation about NOTHING.
Hey! where did you get the figure of speech posters? Thank you!
Thank you for making this video! It’s inspiring to see a teachers life or day in the US bc I’m about to become and English high school teacher in Taiwan. I love the culture and history of the western culture so much and I wish someday I would be confident enough in teaching and having enough time to make such video to show people what it’s like to be a Taiwanese high school teacher. Thank you for the inspiration ❤❤❤
I love Romeo & Juliet for high schoolers lol. I pick apart the scenes that I do. The arguing, the talking behind each other's backs, parents deciding who gets to go to what parties, drugs, fighting in the streets.. I teach kids who LOVE drama, so Romeo & Juliet forces them to see that they are not the originators of drama lol. They get really into it. But I totally understand how some stories can get "played out". Thanks for sharing these ideas! I havent taught a Midsummer's Nights Dream, I will have to see if it is allowed here in the great state of Florida.
Mari! I'm not sure if you remember me but I'm pretty sure I taught you at one point. My name is Ms. Durham. Or maybe we went to church together🤔...or either it was Sporty Girls inc..... I feel so old because i can't remember...lol! Either way it's amazing to see you teaching! (Even if I am a seeing this 2 years later😄) love your classroom!
Awesome video. Thank you.
your still a help to this day🙏
Super helpful. Thanks so much. ❤❤❤😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉
I love it!! I’m in the process of becoming an English teacher for highschool! This helped me so much. It gave me insight on the behind the scenes work part lol. Teachers don’t just teach! That’s 50% of it a wise counsel once told me.😂💎
I enjoyed the gift wrap paper hack.very nice colors
Hey Soror!
Hi Mari. I'm new here as an aspiring teacher in South Africa. I love your content ❤❤❤
how can I begin to learn how to navigate these teaching tools I want begin to teach online
Thank you!!
So motivating! ☺️Would love to see more videos like this🌺
That was a serious "teacher look." LOL
Love this!!
Thank you for sharing this information about different platforms teachers can use for ELA class 😊
Hello @myenglishteachersays. My name is Carisa and im a high school student interested in pursuing a career in education. Im currently enrolled in an education class and my instructer has asked we locate one teacher on social media who is utilizing their platform to educate and share recources for other teachers. Do you mind answering some questions? Is planning what you want to do for that day hard? What is a major challenge in teaching ELA? What is your favorite self care activity?
loved your video. thank you.
This was amazing! Short and sweet I had watched other videos for help with this but they were very long and difficult to follow! Great Job! I will be using your idea of weekly or bi-weekly notebooks going forward to avoid the long semester books that I wouldn't be able to adjust!
You have motivated me. Now I am off to plan for the week. Thank you!
Cool
So my question is how do you use your pointer to show things? You were using it in Kahoot. I am new at this. I am still teaching and sharing the old way on paper and I want to move to this platform. Is it a part of RUclips or yet another app. I love all of your apps. Planning to check out several, especially Canva.
thank you so much mam
very good!
Love this! Can't wait to do this!
im seeing this 2 years after it being posted and this just made me hope that my teachers are as sweet as you & really hope the classrooms are decorated and not just simple 🥲 but ur adorable!
Oops you hadn’t talked about it yet
Have you used Canva?
I have my students read At The Chadian Ball and The Storm for their first Socratic Seminar because they all get into what is going on in the stories.
I love the FAQ idea!
I just got offered an English teacher position in South Carolina with no certification. I have a bachelor’s and two Masters.
You and I are on the same boat. Just accepted a job as an English teacher but have my bachelors in English no certification
Great to hear that you've found Canva and Picmonkey helpful for lesson planning! They can definitely save time and make the process more enjoyable. Have you tried any other tools or platforms that have been particularly effective in creating engaging lessons for your students?
I teach juniors and seniors. We have 90-minute blocks Monday-Friday. That's a LONG time. They are really hard to keep engaged in the last 20 minutes of every class. Any suggestions?
Good Day. Have you ever drafted a Co-teaching lesson plan. If so , may I please have an example.
When I was in 9th grade, I made a 38 for the 3rd 9 weeks. This lowered my average totally, in which I needed to make at least 100% on every assignment till the end of the school year so that I could pass. I busted my tail off scoring 100% on every assignment. By the end of the semester, I finished the 4th 9 week with a 110%. Fast forward to today, I have a Bachelors and two Masters. A former classmate who now works at the same school district that we graduated from now has a position there. He recently posted on social media encouraging English and Math majors to apply. Well, I don’t have an English degree but I do have one in journalism and an additional Masters in Educational Leadership. He said he didn’t see an issue with my credentials. So I just got through submitting my application. Let’s see how it goes. 😊
But how you use Zoom as the basic tool?
I’m going into my masters program for education, and this is helping me soooo much! Thank you so much!
Great tips.. Thank you!
Subscribed right away. I love your content!! I am an english second language teacher in France. Your lesson planning is so inspiring. I wish I had had a mentor teacher like you honnestly. ❤
Hey I’m also an English teacher in France. Which part of France do you stay.
thanks
What is the purpose of character comparison in the lesson plan? Are you targeting character motivations? I am curious as am planning a unit for grad school.
