That depends on the model of Denix you purchase, I have a SAA that is a empty barrel and I have a 1911 replica that is plugged with an orange paint or enamel. Some of the SAA Revolvers are empty but the Webley I have is plugged and orange enamel. What model exactly are you looking for and I can answer more direct about a specific model. Thank you, Dave

@@sheepman145 I spoke with Denix rep and he said it is decorative. It maybe be just that it is but according to them it is simply decorative.

Thank you, for me I prefer Fleece over Pile as a texture thing. I believe the pile offers more lining and warmth with a loss of dexterity because they are thick. As a reteailer I have to sel them as they are with the plug. If it is removable you would to do that. On some models simply the tip is painted orange and not removable, on other models it is pertruding plastic. The model you choose determines whetther or not it would be able to be removed. If you could provide the model number of the one you desire I can be more exact. If it is the Thompson ithe plug is in the barrel recessed and metal, it cannot be removed but for movies the orange plugs are painted over. Thank you, Dave

According to Denix that would be a no and I do not see where they even offer a grip as a part. I myself have not tried to do so, therefore I am not sure if there is a way that denix doesnt document. The Hides are not really thick enough for saddle making. That being said someone could use it as an overlay on a different thicker hide if someone chose to do so, it would not wear well. I hope this helps to inform you, saddle leathers generally come from thicker hide animals. Thank you, Dave

I'm still confused, because using the front side of the phone to "film" wouldn't make the image backwards---so words are backwards, etc. I see so many videos that are mirrored that I wonder if it's something that the host site (TikTok, etc.) does to uploaded videos that the original video-er wouldn't have done. In fact, I don't even know how to make a video mirrored.

@@ProfFrank That is all I can think of, other then that, I have no answer. When I film through the actual camera lens everything comes out not mirrored, but when I film the other way through the small lens in the viewing screen it mirrors. Thank you, Dave

Thank you for your comment. I have studied Rodd Redwing for many years as I have tried to do with all of the Hollywood Firearm Coaches through the 1980s. Rodd seemed to have the most impact on many Hollywood Cowboys and Cowgirls from the late 1930s through the late 1960s.
