Love the Gold Pants!! She is Hot !!!!
Love him too- I was pregnant when he did his show on Labor & Delivery. I needed the humor he shared.
1970-71
This camera is moving too fast for me. And the art made me think this was a museum for some reason even though I had never been to a museum. My first time coming in to PS 79 was because my sister had had a fight in Ms. Dolin’s (idk how you spell her name) class. Ms. Dolin couldn’t separate my sister and the other girl so she poured dirty chalk water on them. 😂😂😂 That worked.
I went 1970
Graduated in ‘09
Love him!!!!!!!
This is called Traveling Song on his Let’s Not Make Love CD. He references more places too. You native sons & daughters might like it more. I’m from the far South Side of Chicago (at the Indiana border) and I love this song.
Catherine Russell and Betsy Bircher are the backup singers. Russell is the shorter of the two. Both have fabulous voices and a lot of their work is here on RUclips.
How did I miss his special back in the day? I LOVE Robert Klein!
Omg all the memories
Thank you brotha! This video took me back to a very special place in my Heart. God bless you
You're very welcome Fernando!
Grew up on this street
Wow, I grew up pretty close to where you guys were. Left in 78 and joined the Army, now in Fl. Makes me so SAD to see what a cess pool that place has become, just like the rest of Norwood. I hope all your peeps are well. Liberals destroyed our neighborhood. Screw the Democrats!!
All roads lead to & from “Da Bronx”.
I’m from Ps130 and I had a basketball game there
Who knows the names of the backup singers?
Betsy Butcher is the blond.
Catherine Russell and Betsy Bircher. Russell is the shorter of the two.

Unique L. Valdez at what year did you go to that school? I was born in 1981
Albert Burgos i was born in 82. Not sure the year but your close enough we must of been there together. I remember only Adalice. Suzette iri. Ricardo. Natalia reyes. Jermaine butler. Miguel his twin bro and few others if i hear the name. Mrs Lewis was one of my teachers. I had a brother Daniel and a sister cheryl vidal that was there but 3 and 4yrs older
Albert Burgos HAPPY 🎂 BELATED
Unique L. Valdez thank you. I think we might've. It's nice to see people that were in your elementary school after all of these years. Add me on Instagram. Albert_copic_villains
Thanks for sharing this piece of work. Richard Blystone was a legend. His packages were always among the best on CNN.
Been looking for this clip. Thank you. Knew it existed.
I'm from the same area and neighborhood he grew up in. I've always love that there was a song about the Bronx. And for those if you don't know the Bronx has more green space that and the other parole in New York City
I lived there from 1969-1975; some of my friends lived in the same building as Klein and remembered him from the building. Believe me, I know about the Bronx's green space!!
bummer. the gag at the end was cut off. "Thank you. You're very kind. Now for the real ending."
Ps 79 -3rd-4th grade BRIGGS AVE DAY #BADBOY
Good quote, any idea when/where this clip was taken?
Wow all the memories came flashing back i remember playing Santa Claus in a holiday play we did back 76
WOW...This is a video piece of history from Van Nest! when I was a kid (1950!), my dad took me here, and I remember a sign on the wall written in dripping red paint. It read "It's better to sweat in the gym than bleed in the streets." Richard
thanks for taking the trouble to post this brilliant song. I have been thinking of it constantly since the early 90's when I heard it a couple times.
I was at the Fest and he was awesome! Thanks for posting!
Actually, he was at the 2009 Fest in Jersey. I've got pix of him in a discussion group with Victor Spinetti (RIP).
Neil Innes has not been to a FEST in ages. Everyone came out this past weekend in NYC!
WOW! Can't tell you how many bricks I threw up in that gym! I attended grades 7 through 9 (Creston JHS 79 - ALL BOYS!) and graduated in 1970 to go on to Music & Art H.S. I remember so little from those days, but I DO remember Mr. Rich. There is a Facebook page for Creston: facebook.com/groups/49165808598/
Hope she comes back to the US for a full tour! (Dallas) :)
We were there!!! My elbow was on the stage, then we move back. We met her and she signed my Dream Of You CD.
i was one of the final people to graduate from the best school in the cosmos
I graduated from the school in 1967!
I also graduated in 1967
I graduated this school at 2010
I saw him at Bucks County Community College later that year. I'll say he had me shouting, "Ran-dy!!"
I missed her here?!!! Damme!
thank you I saw her in concert in Paris in 2011, she is awesome!! I hope she will be back ... I have videos on my youtube page if you want ;)
Welber! I'll call you in a couple of hours!
