THIS GOLF BALL WEIGHS 5X MORE THAN A NORMAL BALL!
I stopped playing them because they live up to there name and do actually "CUT" just like you experienced.
I’m here for all the content!
🔥
Thank you!!
Review the Cut DC. Much better ball in my opinion.
We will check it out.
just chose this ball as “ my ball” a few rounds ago. absolutely love them tour x
Can't believe how good they are
Around the year 2000 if I couldn't get my hands on a Titleist Professional/Tour Prestige then the Maxfli Revolution was the next best thing. I use to love that golf ball. I gotta try this new one
Yeah, the Revolution and the Black Max were amazing balls back in the day. The M3 as well. But that golf ball DNA went over to Taylormade with the purchase. Dick's just got the name. That's what makes this ball all the more intriguing in my eyes.
Great video. Meridian putters have a pure feel.
Thanks for watching! If they feel as good as they look, then they're pretty special.
Love what you guys are doing. Honestly looked for a review on Google for the Cut Blue/Grey and when I watched that video I thought to myself, is that First Tee Chesterfield? Then I realized it was. Been playing there since I was a kid and love how sneaky hard that course is. Do your thing at Indy in a couple of weeks. I might come and watch Fridays round
Love to hear this. Please do come out and support our guy Sterling!
And that is definitely TFT Chesterfield
I have a half day on that Friday and I know the team at Independence well through business ventures.
I cant wait to try these balls. Great presentation!!
Hope you enjoy
Glad you liked it!
Good luck Sterling! We'll all be rooting for you.
Worst ball birdie is pretty solid
Great review! Glad to find your channel!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome, thank you!
For a hack, seems like these are a pretty good deal. Im losing balls OB all the time, but i need to find something inexpensive to build a game around.
Please check out our review of the Maxfli Tour X. If you can catch a sale, it's a better ball at a competitive price.
This has been really nice to have in Scotland
Thank you Justin and Josh!
After that the club head speed is what you have to show
I don't have the numbers with me for all the shots, but the driver SS was right around 102 for both balls.
If you are going to lie for the pro v why not say it was 7 thousand spin
Sorry, I don't understand your comment.
When comparing balls you need to hit the balls randomly. Put 10 ProV1 and 10 Maxfli in a bucket and mix them up and pull them out randomly and hit them and record the data. It takes away many human variables.
That would be ideal, but unfortunately neither Sterling nor Madison were available the one day I had time to shoot this video. We wanted to get this out with plenty of time left in the 48 pack sale. So that would have added even more time to the shoot, and my simulator time was limited. This was a full solo effort by me. We'll try that on our next ball review when we have a team doing the shoot.
Played Pro V1 only for many, many years. Tried Bridgestone and was a big step down in feel. Gave Kirkland a shot and was ok but there was some clear inconsistency from ball to ball. Tried Maxfli Tour and now it's my ball. Same short game and iron feel as the Pro V1 with only a minor loss in distance with my driver. Can draw and fade the ball with consistency and spin around the greens is superb. Putter feel is a small bit firmer but not alarming. And you can't go wrong with a cost right around $2/ball. I don't lose many but I will retire a ball after a couple rounds.
I love hearing this. That's exactly what I'm seeing as well. Thanks for watching!
Recent version of Max Tour X are a bit firmer than before. Moved to ProV1. Played previous (4 yrs ago or two models ago) Max Tour X, and they were the balls that got noticed by MyGolfSpy. Can’t find them even in EBay. 😢😢😢😢
Interesting. I don't find them to be overly firm. Firm, but not ridiculously so.
I see the 2021 Tour X on the Dick's web site for $29.99 right now.
So what’s the verdict on 80 year old clubs?
Really, really hard to hit. Especially the woods. But very satisfying when you do hit them well.
Why no knickers and argyle? You should have dressed the part if you were playing with 40s ere clubs! 😂
We weren't THAT committed to the bit. But some other teams were.
Can't buy these in Australia. So I can't buy them.
It looks like they might be available on Amazon. But the price didn't seem as appealing.
Thanks for the review. I am no stranger to Dunlop Maxfli. Excellent golf ball for sure.
Glad you liked it. We have more planned for the future.
No problem 👍
I have their Charleston model and love it
Love to hear that. These things look sweet.
Hello from Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, I started playing the Maxfli tour x in 2022 and they really are an amazing golf ball, I like the 2023 Matte version. They are hard to come by up here but a great ball non the less. I subscribed and liked the video, and would love the 48 pack to come to Winnipeg!! Cheers and have a fantastic 2024 Golf Season.
Thank you for watching and subscribing! That helps us get to 500 subscribers. These aren't the matte version, but good luck to you nonetheless.
Does anyone remember the Maxfli REVOLUTION??
And the Black Max. Such great balls back in the day.
Still have a few sleeves of Revs. My holiday balls are Black Max with American flag logo Golfsmith had years ago in a logo over run bin for $1.50 a piece.
@@lloydwilliams4368 - I bought a TON of those American flag overrun balls! I loved them.
Performs well and a solid option factoring in the price. I thought the cover to be ok but the real issue is they dirty and gain color very easily. You roll some through dusty type dirt and its going to be a shade off from white. I find I need 2 balls per 9 on average.
I'll be honest, I don't worry too much about discoloration as long as the cover is intact.
Are you using the gloss cover or the matte? I use the gloss cover, and I'm not seeing an issue with discoloration. They clean nicely with a wet towel.
"Better part of the season".... you're seriously overestimating my ability to keep balls in play. I can lose 48 balls in a week. Lol
Thank you for the history of maxfly golf ball. Do you think that the golf simulator’s are fairly accurate on the data? Good luck with the channel.
Fairly accurate? I think so. This is pretty similar to what I see on the course. And I'm glad you enjoyed the history.
Hi Really enjoyed your ball comparison test 👍, thought you’re ball striking was excellent, but wasn’t happy with your pitching test, you needed to hit one ball of each to compare Flight, Spin control, Feel (this is where I’d expect the most difference) with the ProV1X to be more consistent, when you know how the ball is going to behave it generates confidence, Thanks Dickey UK 9hcp 76year senior golfer
Good feedback. We'll work on this in the next video.
well, i just played with 2 of them today- 1. they play just like a pro v1. 2. the cover is CRAP, now i know why they are cheaper. one bad shot and the covering came off, with a pro v1 and can top it 3-5 times hit a tree or 2 land on a cart path and no damage to the ball. ther than that it is a great ball, they just need to work on the outer cover. xd
Interesting. I'm just not seeing that same problem with the cover. But there's going to be some variance from batch to batch.
@@meovino I hope that's the case , I hit 2 more from the same box and they are bad to.other than the covering it's wonderful and 15 bucks cheaper....
I just played another one today and it held up great. Even hit a couple trees 😊
Are you playing the gloss or matte cover? I'm playing the gloss.
@@meovino does not say, it is the yellow one's maybe the yellow ones dont hold up well? Everything else about the ball is awesome...
My favorite was the Revaluation
The classic Maxfli balls were so good. But it's really nice to see good balls with this name on them again!
I need all the putting tips I can get!
Stay tuned for more!
Good thing we have a putter junkie on the team. My 20 year old Craz-e can't find it's way out of the bag. But that thing is beautiful. I love the face pattern.
There is a $20 coupon so it’s $89 for 48 balls. The coupon ends today 6/8/24
Sorry I missed that, but thanks for pointing it out to our viewers!
Where's the ball speed, launch angle, and by far most importantly, standard deviation. They look very similar on the surface stats but consistency shot to shot is where Titleist generally outshines the competition. Can't tell that here. Great vid though just some friendly feedback for next time!
Thanks for the feedback! I'll include SDEV next time, but it wasn't significant in my mind. Outliers were definitely from my bad swings (like thin shots or mat bounce) and not ball performance.
"I'm playing really well with this putter right now. I still kind of tinker." Unreal stuff
I use the Maxfli Tour, great ball at a great price especially when you get a deal on them.
Totally agree!
Definitely check the sales!
Played Maxfli balls years ago, and felt like underperformed. Recently found the Maxfli Tour X when searching the weeds for my Callaway. Put it in play and was very impressed. Thought maybe it was just an anomaly. Based on your findings it matches up to what I experienced. Thank you.
You bet. We appreciate you watching!
Thanks for the review. I'm a slow swing speed mid-handicapper, testing MaxFli for my game to try to step up into a 3-peice ball.
Best of luck!
I think you'll like what you find. For reference, my swing speed with the driver averaged 102 in these tests.
Isn’t every ball on RUclips ?
Seems like it ... But there are plenty more for us to talk about!
Right at the beginning, you said you couldn’t wait to get to the review of this ball. And I agree! I was looking forward to it also! And I waited…and waited… But then it was 6:30 seconds until you even took one shot to begin the review! I mean, the history of the company is nice and all but maybe that could’ve been done at the end of the actual review, since that’s what the majority of what people are her for. No hating or anything! Just a suggestion when it comes to the editing of the video. The video itself is done shot really well. I’d be proud of it if it were my own video. It’s just the way it was arranged, with the history of Maxfli and that type of thing. I personally would’ve tried to do that differently. Thanks for the review and the work you put into posting it! Total respect. 🙏👍
Thanks for the feedback!
This helped! I was reading the comments while the ad was finishing up and jumped right to 6:20
I actually like that part, its nice to know where things come from....
@@donmilberg9091- glad you liked it. I had a ton of fun digging into the history. Not many other DTC golf ball companies have a history.
Ive been considering the switch to these. Thanks for the review
Thanks for watching!
Wow, I used to play a lot with this balls until Kirtland came out and I currently play Kirtland due to good balls and better price, $30 for 24 balls
I used the OG Kirkland ball until I couldn't get them anymore. We'll look into another test with them.
That a Belmont hat?
The white hat? It sure is. Hides my receding hairline 😂
interesting video! Like it.
Thank you very much!
Thanks! We'll keep making them.
Absolutely love these balls
Couldn't agree more. How are more people not playing these?
@@meovino Exactly what I'm thinking! Especially at the price point you can get them at.
I have used the Maxfli Tour the past several years. Great fit for me. But I only tried Bridgestone, Srixon, and Taylormades before finding the Maxfli's.
Love it!
I play a Penfold Hearts. How does that compare? 😉 Seriously though, another great video!
LOL - always good to see you in the comments, Drew!
